Abstract

Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to a control link-up between an exercise bike and a video game that translates exercise movements into game play thus making the exercise more enjoyable. The only modification necessary to the exercise bike is to the handlebars. They have inner and outer sleeves that are relatively rotatable and simulate the joystick move-ments of a video game.

Claims (4)

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1. A game control link-up between an exercise bike and a video game comprising a first set of signals initiated by hand controlled movements on the bike, said signals going directly into the video game.
2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein a second set of signals initiated by leg controlled movements on the bike override the first set of signals to change the game response to the first set of signals.
3. The apparatus of claim 2 wherein both sets of signals are fed through a black box and then into the video game.
4. The apparatus of claim 3 wherein the black box has a range of difficulty.
