La possibilité de distribuer indifféremment des rouleaux ou des bandes pliées en Z. The invention relates to an apparatus for dispensing wiping materials stored in a roll or Z-folded and cut in the form of bands folded in accordion.
The object of the invention relates to the technical sector means for distributing wiping materials of the type paper, wadding, nonwovens and others.
According to Canadian patent 1,334,396 whose applicant is also the holder there was proposed a device allowing to automatically distribute lengths of strips of wiping material loaded in the device under in the form of a roll, and cut into strips accordion-folded to be very resistant to the effort of manual traction on the projecting part of the device when the user has wet hands. Said band folded by suitable members placed between a means of return and conformation of the unrolled strip and the drive and cutting devices, naturally resumes its original shape or substantially to provide a surface sufficient wiping.
With certain types of materials, it can happen despite all that during a brutal or disorderly pull on the overflowing band, the material is torn before cutting, this which, we understand, risks blocking the device.
To remedy this, and according to a first characteristic of the invention, the device is equipped with a damping device of which the active part is arranged to act on the tension of the strip between the point of storage of the roller and the return and shaping means, and automatically train after each distribution of the folded strip, by pulling on the protruding strip and by rotational drive of the material roll, a loop of unrolled material which will be absorbed during traction on the next strip, thus avoiding any unexpected break in the material delivered by brutal tension.
According to another characteristic, the device 'i 201127 ~
, weaver consists of a hoop articulated on the fixed walls of the device and resiliently pressed against the support roll; said arch having on its transverse part a means of returning the unwound strip facilitating sliding-ment and the formation of the loop during manual pulling on the overflowing band.
Another characteristic is that to more precisely control the importance of the training loop driven by the damping device, the material water roll is mounted rotatably braked on its support.
For this purpose and according to another characteristic, the roller support, which is secured to part of the apparatus articulated on the part of attachment to a surface of use sation, is made up of two engaging lateral ends in the roll core by lateral movement with regard to two axes fixed to the walls of the articulated part, against e springs ~ ~ olldin suitably tared to ensure the desired braking of the roller.
For this type of device, including in particular on the part hinged to the fixing part, return means and conformation of the strip unrolled from its support, we have also wanted to improve the slip and the shaping of said strip before it passes between the folding members arranged additionally on said fixed and articulated parts 25 ~ abutment.
For this and according to another characteristic, the upper face of the articulated part receiving in its part median the reference means, present on both sides of said medium, an arcuate shape extending laterally and down then a ramp going up substantially to the level of the middle part; the upper face being profiled ma-convex at least at the level of the ramps to improve the slide of the strip thus guided and shaped.
To improve the loading and passage of the strip between the folding means and the drive means;
'' and cutting, we have provided a special arrangement of the projections folding elongations established additionally on the parts fixed and articulated of the device. For this and others characteristics, said projections are fixed so adjustable in height with respect to their support, to be always as close as possible to the drive means, or else they are interchangeable to adapt their position relative to the diameter of the toothed drive pairs, or else they are self-orientable to facilitate the passage of the strip of material, or else they are made of flexible material and deformable in full or honeycomb form.
We also tried to use in this genre of materials stored in Z-folded strips. In this case, it is necessary to provide a means of storing the stack in place of roll holder and device damper.
~ ~ ur cel 2, several solutions can be considered ~ -managed in the context of the invention.
For example and according to other characteristics, the device cover covering both parts fixed and articulated, is arranged directly or so attached to receive and guide the stack, or a bin swivel and interchangeable is secured to the side walls of the articulated part, or even the packaging of the pile is intended to be housed between the closing cover and the articulated part.
These and other features will emerge of the following description.
For the subject of the invention without however limiting it ter in the accompanying drawings, where:
- Figure 1 is a side view and in section illus-trant a device equipped with the damping device according to the vention shown in solid lines at rest after loading and broken lines in the loop formation position.

In order to make the object of the invention more concrete, now describes it in non-limiting forms of realization illustrated in the figures of the drawings.
The apparatus illustrated in FIG. 1 is of the type corresponding to that of French patent no. 2630417, published October 27, 1989 and French patent no. 2632292, published December 8, 1989, that is to say, he was formed essentially of a part (A) for fixing to a surface any part (B) articulated at its end lower than part (A) and a cover closure (C) also articulated in part (A), by example, on the same axes (M).
B
7 ~
- 4a -Part (A) is arranged at its lower part to receive the device (D) for driving and section of the folded material which is preferably assembled in the form of an interchangeable cassette, in particular to offer different lengths of materials cut. Near its upper end, part (A) has elongated projections (E) spaced apart and converging towards each other in the lower part, while similar projections (G) are established in the same way on part (B) to authorize the accordion folding of the unrolled strip passing between these interpenetrating projections.
At its upper end, the part (B) carries a member tape return, which may consist of a B
2011 ~ 72 ....
s crazy barrel-shaped axis (H) to center and preform the strip unrolled. At its lower end, part (B) is notched in the center to allow passage to a roller (J) facilitating the sliding of the folded strip engaged between toothed wheels (K) for rotating the belt.
According to one of the characteristics of the invention, the upper face (1) of the part (B) present on both sides be of the return member (H) an arcuate shape (la) extending laterally and downwards then a ramp (lb) going up substantially at the level of the organ (H) by constituting thus guiding the unwound strip. To facilitate sliding sement of said strip, the sectional profile of said face upper is convex at least at the level of the ramps.
According to another important characteristic, the apparatus reil is fitted with a shock-absorbing device (N) to prevent unexpected breakage of the wiping material during pull-ups manual b u.ales. - ~
For this, there is provided a hoop (2) articulated by its lateral branches (2a) on the end walls (Al) of the part (A), preferably on the axes (M). Branch transverse (2b) carries at least in its middle part a rotary shaft (3) for returning the strip unwound from its roller (R) in the direction of loading indicated. This tree can be cylindrical or barrel-shaped, like the organ (H). The arch is subjected to the action of two springs (4) attached on the side walls (Bl) of part (B) for maintenance nir applied against the mounting pins of the material roll.
Thus, as seen in Figure 1, after the loading the roll when pulling on the folded strip in front of the device, the roll bar (Z) under the pulling effect pivots backwards by an angle proportional to the force of traction. After cutting the tape canceling the tension of the band, the arch, recalled by its springs, returns to position front stop and its shaft (3) pulls the material obliquely managing the roller (R) to rotate in the direction of unwinding. Through 201127 ~
slip due to the traction speed, the strip has unrolled a little more and a loop appears between the shaft (3) and the axis (H). At the next pull, the loop thus formed will reduce, then again the arch will be moved backwards, the wheel S water (R) will be rotated, and the return of the hoop a new loop will be formed. In this way, when even very brutal traction on the overflowing strip, it cannot there is excessive tension at the material roll and therefore no unexpected break of the strip.
To control training more precisely of the damping loop, we plan to mount the roller of material in a braked manner. For example, as shown in Figure 3, the two side walls (Bl) carry an axis (S) on which can slide and turn a stepped tip (6) to mounting and centering the mandrel (Rl) of the roller. A res-properly calibrated flange (7) is interposed between the pzroi ~ Bl) and the shoulder of the end cap to brake the unwind-roll and to allow quick and easy mounting of the said roller by pushing on the end caps.
Bending, driving and cutting tests performed with the device according to the previous requests, have brings up some problems. In particular, when sets up drive means (K) of different diameters rents (interchangeable cassettes) or varies the distance between the projections (E and G) and said means (K) which can interfere with proper operation, especially for charging, folding and driving.
For this, we have provided different ways of realizing ser the projections (E and G). For example, they can be fixed so that they can be easily interchanged so that that they are always as close as possible to the means drive. All the projections except the extremes, can be fixed in a self-rotating manner with an oscillation limited to facilitate the passage of the material. They can also be made of a flexible material e ~ deformable "201 ~ 27 ~
. ~
_ 7 _ and in a solid or honeycomb form.
As indicated in the preamble, it is possible with this type of device to use strips of material bent in Z.
In this case, the stack of said material must be supported and guid; ée upstream of the return and conformation devices available in place of the roll holder and the roll bar which more then useful because the strip folded in Z fills the role of tension damper.
To resolve this battery storage issue, several solutions can be envisaged.
For example, as shown in Figure 4, the hood closing (C) can directly or in a reported manner, present lateral guides (Cl) and possibly sup-lower ports (C2) of the stack (P) which will be installed horizontally by tilting the hood forward.
According to FIG. 5, a tank (8) is mounted at articula-tion Cur axes (M! to receive also because tilting before, the pile (P) on a bottom (8a) and against a front wall (8b).
zo In Figure 6, we simply planned to house between the closing cover (C) and the articulated part (B) a packaging (9) containing the stack of Z-folded material.
The advantages are clear from the description, we emphasizes nota ~ ment the reliability of the device whose damping-allows to distribute all types of wiping materials without risk of breakage before the planned cut. The possibility of distribute rolls or strips folded in Z.
