Abstract
ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE
ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE
This access control device has at least one local control device (10) connected to a central control device (11) containing a local computer (18), an issuing station (12) for control cards and a lockable entry installation (13). At the issuing station (12) are issued portable control cards (47) with an electronic storage, comparator and transmitter circuit on which an electronic identity number is stored at each issue. A transmitting device (21) fitted at the entry installation (13) transmits a continuous series of signals corresponding to identity numbers recognized by the local computer (18) as valid. As soon as the comparator circuit finds a correspondence between transmitted and stored identity numbers, the transmission circuit of the control card is activated to send a release signal to open the entry installation, whereby the power to transmit the release signal is taken from the signals transmitted by the transmission device.

Claims (7)
1. An access control device including a local control device containing an HF receiver which causes the opening of a locking mechanism upon reception of a pre-settable signal and including a portable control pass to which an individual ID number is assigned and containing an HF transmitter, characterised in that the local control device (10) includes a local computer (18) in which all valid ID numbers are stored and an HF transmitter (21) whose carrier wave is modulated with the continuous sequence of valid ID numbers, and in that the portable control pass (Fig. 2) contains an electronic memory (43) in which the ID number assigned to the control pass is stored, a comparator circuit (42) and an HF transmitter (44) which transmits a recognition signal when the comparator circuit detects correspondence between the assigned ID number and an ID number from the sequence of numbers transmitted by the HF transmitter of the control device (10), said recognition signal being fed from the HF receiver (24) of the control device to the local computer (18) which controls the locking of the locking mechanism (26).

A control device according to claim 1, characterized in that associated with the local control device (10) is a sales point (12) for issuing control passes including a data terminal (14) and a programming and issue machine (19) for reading the control number into the memory (43) of the pass, said terminal (14) and issue machine (19) being connected to the local computer (18).
3. A control device according to claim 1, characterized in that the portable control pass (Fig. 2) includes a current supply circuit (38) which converts the energy radiated by the HF
transmitter (21) of the local control device (10) and received by the antenna (36) into the DC current required for the operation of the components and circuits of the control pass.

A control device according to claim 1, characterized in that the portable control pass (Fig. 2) is embodied in card format having a substrate layer (47) onto which is deposited a semiconductor layer within which the components, circuits and connections are created using planar epitaxial techniques.
5. The use of the access control device according to claim 1 in a recreational center having several closable site entrances (13) or partial site entrances, each of which cooperates with an associated local computer (18).
6. The use according to claim 5, characterized in that a sales point (12) is assigned to each of the site entrances (13) or partial site entrances.
7. The use according to claim 5, characterized in that the local computers (18) of all site entrances (10) and partial site entrances are connected to a central computer (27) which transfers the data required for entry collected by the sales point (12) to all local computers and stores information regarding the type of passes sold, the sales points and the entrances to the site of partial sites where the passes were used, for analysis,
