Abstract

A method and apparatus (20) for treating multiple strata (14, 15) in a single operation from a single wellbore which penetrates a treatment interval (12) which, in turn, includes a plurality of a strata (14, 15) which, in turn, have different permeabilities. A treating fluid (e.g: consolidating agent, acid etc.) is delevered direct3y to different levels (15, 17) within a section of the wellbore ad-jacent the interval to be treated through a plurality of alternative paths (23, 24) which, in turn, lie substantially adjacent to the strata to be treated:
