Abstract

Described is an absorbent article having a liquid-permeable cover (12), a liquid-impermeable baffle (14), an absorbent (16) therebetween, and a resilient member (18) positioned along at least one longitudinal side of the absorbent article. The absorbent article further includes a tensioning means (40) which imparts an arcuate shape to the absorbent article. The tensioning device can be positioned along a portion of the upper most surface of the resilient member (18).
