Abstract

An animal training system including a programming apparatus and an animal training collar. The animal training collar is communicatively couplable to the programming apparatus.
The animal training collar includes at least one stimulation probe and a programmable device operatively connected to the at least one stimulation probe to activate the at least one stimulation probe. The at least one stimulation probe also transferring data at least one of to and from the programming apparatus.

Claims (20)

1. An animal training system, comprising:
a programming apparatus; and an animal training collar communicatively couplable to said programming apparatus, said animal training collar including:

at least one stimulation probe; and a programmable device operatively connected to said at least one stimulation probe to activate said at least one stimulation probe, said at least one stimulation probe also transferring data at least one of to and from said programming apparatus.
2. The animal training system of claim 1, further comprising a signal emitting device in communication with said programmable device, said signal emitting device transmitting data from said programmable device to said programming apparatus, said signal emitting device being one of a light emitting device and an acoustic emitting device.
3. The animal training system of claim 2, wherein said at least one stimulation probe transfers data only to said programmable device from said programming apparatus.
4. The animal training system of claim 3, further comprising a battery contact, said at least one stimulation probe including a first stimulation probe and a second stimulation probe, said programmable device being directed to a programming state when a voltage is applied to said battery contact and to said first stimulation probe, said second stimulation probe in communication with said programming apparatus.
5. The animal training system of claim 4, wherein said second stimulation probe is a high voltage stimulation probe and said first stimulation probe is a ground stimulation probe.
6. The animal training system of claim 5, wherein said battery contact is a battery charge contact.
7. The animal training system of claim 1, said at least one stimulation probe includes a first stimulation probe and a second stimulation probe, said programmable device being directed to a programming state when a voltage is applied to said first stimulation probe, said second stimulation probe receiving data from said programming apparatus.
8. The animal training system of claim 7, wherein said second stimulation probe is a high voltage stimulation probe and said first stimulation probe is a ground stimulation probe.
9. An animal training collar, comprising:
at least one stimulation probe; and a programmable device operatively connected to said at least one stimulation probe to activate said at least one stimulation probe, said at least one stimulation probe transferring data at least one of to and from said programmable device.
10. The animal training collar of claim 9, further comprising a signal emitting device in communication with said programmable device, said signal emitting device transmitting data from said programmable device.
11. The animal training collar of claim 10, wherein said at least one stimulation probe transfers data only to said programmable device.
12. The animal training collar of claim 11, further comprising a battery contact, said at least one stimulation probe including a first stimulation probe and a second stimulation probe, said programmable device being directed to a programming state when a voltage is applied to said battery contact and to said first stimulation probe, said second stimulation probe receiving data.
13. The animal training collar of claim 12, wherein said second stimulation probe is a high voltage stimulation probe and said first stimulation probe is a ground stimulation probe.
14. The animal training collar of claim 13, wherein said battery contact is a battery charge contact.
15. The animal training collar of claim 9, said at least one stimulation probe including a first stimulation probe and a second stimulation probe, said programmable device being directed to a programming state when a voltage is applied to said first stimulation probe, said second stimulation probe receiving data.
16. The animal training collar of claim 15, wherein said second stimulation probe is a high voltage stimulation probe and said first stimulation probe is a ground stimulation probe.
17. The animal training collar of claim 9, further comprising a housing, said programmable device being hermetically sealed within said housing.
18. A method of reprogramming an animal training device, comprising the step of transferring a program by way of a stimulation probe to a memory contained within a housing.
19. The method of claim 18, further comprising the step of sending an acknowledge signal from a programmable device by way of a signal emitting device, said signal emitting device being one of a light emitting device and an acoustic emitting device.
20. The method of claim 18, further comprising the step of placing a programmable device in a state to be programmed by supplying a voltage to an other stimulation probe.
