背景技术
[0002]显示出光感的纸是固有昂贵的,这是制造其所需的方法/材料造成的。例如,将聚乙烯挤出到纸张上的工艺需要专用设备,而这种设备不是一般即可获得的并且通常在最初制造该纸的工厂中是不可得的。因此,这种纸的成本增加,不仅需要专用的挤出设备而且需要将纸从制造地搬运到另一个进行涂布工序的位置。

示范性实施方案的详细说明
[0009]在本发明的一种实施方案中,一张纸或原纸100,其可以是未经处理的或者经处理的,用含一种或多种粘合剂和聚乙烯颗粒的“光感(photo feel)”层200涂布。这种光感涂层200在该纸的表面102上提供,与表面102相对的是印刷表面101,在后者上进行印刷。
[0010]对于未经处理的原纸,以图2中所示的方式将光感涂层200直接施加至原纸。对于经处理的原纸,其中两侧通过施用印刷强化胶印(offset)涂层而进行处理,所述印刷强化胶印涂层包括但不限于粘土、磨细的碳酸钙、沉淀碳酸钙、硫酸钡、二氧化钛、二氧化硅、三水合铝、氧化铝、勃姆石和其组合,以图3中所示的方式将光感涂层200施加至印刷强化胶印涂层102A。
[0011]涂布技术,通过其来施加光感涂层,除挤出以外,可以选自任何合适的市售可得的技术如幕帘涂布(curtain coating)、刮棒涂布(rod coating)或缝口喷注涂布(slot coating)。然而,本发明的实施方案不局限于这些设备,例如并不排除凹面涂布(gravure coating)、逆转辊涂布(reverse roll coating)、辊上刮板涂布(knife over rollcoating)。
[0012]涂层的厚度可为约3-约50gsm(克/平方米)。通常,约5-25gsm的涂层将是足够的,然后这种厚度可以变化,取决于用途和所用的纸。
[0013]纸或原纸(涂层可以施加到其上的)可以选自市售可得的原料如“Galerie one gloss”和“Galerie one silk”(由M-real of KangusFinland生产)以及#Savvy和#Influence(International Paper)。本发明的实施方案当然不限于这些选择并且可被用于不同的基材(纸),视情况而定。

[0016]涂层或层200可以包括单一的粘合剂如丙烯酸胶乳,聚乙烯颗粒分散于其中。根据本发明的一个实施方案,这些聚乙烯颗粒具有至少两种不同的尺寸。第一组颗粒的直径可以为约25-200纳米,而第二组直径可以为约1-6微米。根据一个实施方案,第一种颗粒的更优选的颗粒尺寸为约30-70nm,而第二种颗粒的更优选的颗粒尺寸为约3-5微米。
[0017]上述粘合剂可以选自但并非局限于苯乙烯、苯乙烯-丙烯酸类、苯乙烯-丁二烯、丙烯酸类、聚乙酸乙烯酯等。使用上述粘合剂的混合物也在本发明的范围内。
[0018]在本发明进一步的实施方案中,可以将抗卷曲剂加入到涂层中。这种抗卷曲剂可以是一种粘合剂,其可以选自但不局限于聚乙烯醇、明胶、淀粉、纤维素、改性纤维素等。
[0019]大颗粒和小颗粒的组合有助于背涂层(backchat)的均匀的光感,这提供了所述光感特性。使用相似尺寸的颗粒未提供这种期望的光感,虽然未绝对确定,但是怀疑是较小颗粒往往填充较大颗粒之间的空隙并且提供了一种均匀效果,这导致了背涂层的期望的光感。

Claims (10)
1.一种光感涂层(200),其施加至纸(100)的表面(102),所述表面(102)与被配置以承受印刷的表面(101)相对,所述光感涂层包含:
粘合剂;和
具有第一和第二预定尺寸的聚乙烯颗粒。
2.权利要求1的光感涂层,其中第一种颗粒尺寸和第二种颗粒尺寸分别包括约25-约200纳米的第一范围和约1-约6微米的第二范围。
3.权利要求2的光感涂层,其中第一种颗粒的更优选的颗粒尺寸为约30-70nm,而第二种颗粒的更优选的颗粒尺寸为约3-5微米。
4.权利要求1的光感涂层,其中该粘合剂选自以下中的至少一种:苯乙烯、苯乙烯-丙烯酸类、苯乙烯-丁二烯、丙烯酸类、聚乙酸乙烯酯。
5.权利要求1的光感涂层,其中优选的粘合剂是丙烯酸类粘合剂。
6.权利要求1的光感涂层,其还包含第二种粘合剂,添加该第二种粘合剂以提供预定特性。
7.权利要求6的光感涂层,其中该预定特性是削弱卷曲。
8.权利要求6的光感涂层,其中第二种粘合剂选自聚乙烯醇、明胶、淀粉、纤维素、改性纤维素。
9.权利要求1的光感涂层,其中优选的第二种粘合剂是聚乙烯醇。
10.权利要求1的光感涂层,其中涂层厚度为约3-约50gsm。
