技术领域
本发明一般涉及一种容器吹塑方法,特别涉及这样一种容器吹塑方法,其底部具有足够的刚性以承受一底壁翻转时受到的力。
背景技术
一种制作容器的方法是一种称为展开吹塑的工艺。在该工艺中,一般用热塑材料注入成型成一型坯。该型坯的一端有螺纹,使得容器的一端有螺纹。在展开吹塑时,型坯置于两打开的吹塑半模中。两吹塑半模闭合而形成一型腔,型坯在该型腔中吹制成容器。模具一旦闭合,把一气体压入型坯,使它展开,型坯随着塑料接触模具而呈模具的形状。吹塑完成后,打开两半模取出吹塑而成的容器。
展开吹塑的一个问题是,塑料的展开会影响到容器某些部位的性能。尽管塑料的展开对容器的大多数部位不造成问题,但特别影响到塑料在模具中一深突起部周围的成形能力。在容器制作的某些情况下,容器在某一部位、最经常是在容器的底部上需要有一个深突起部。塑料接触模具的该深突起部时,塑料必须展开后在该突起部周围流入一凹座。但是,塑料由于与模具表面的接触摩擦而难于在突起部周围流动和展开。塑料在一部位如在该底部上的分布不足会影响到热填充时该部位在突起部周围保持其形状的能力、该部位的强度或容器在平整表面上的站立能力。
由塑料无法在深突起部正确成形造成的该底部的形状不整在该底部包括一个或多个可翻转壁时特别成问题。如该底部的可翻转壁或周围区域的刚性不足,这些壁的翻转就会造成该底部变形,从而造成容器无法站稳在平整表面上的问题以及影响到容器的外观。
需要对容器底部成形方法作出改进以克服现有技术的缺点。
发明内容
本发明包括一容器、该容器的一底部和一种制作该容器的方法。
本发明方法的优选实施例包括吹塑一容器,该容器的一底部包括第一铰链、与第一铰链连接的第一壁、与第一壁连接的第二铰链和与第二铰链连接的第二壁,第一壁和第二壁都相对容器的纵向轴线从容器内部向外伸出;相对该纵向轴线围绕第一铰链向容器内部翻转第一壁以及相对该纵向轴线围绕第二铰链向容器内部翻转第二壁,其中,该底部的刚性在翻转第二壁时防止该底部发生实质性的净(net)变形。
本发明容器底部的优选实施例可包括一站立面、一第一壁、一第二壁、位于站立面与第一壁之间的第一铰链,第一壁可相对容器的纵向轴线围绕第一铰链转动;以及位于第一壁与第二壁之间的第二铰链,第二壁可相对容器的纵向轴线围绕第二铰链转动,其中,该底部的刚性在转动第二壁时防止该底部发生实质性的净(net)变形。

本发明的具体实施例一般涉及一容器、容器的一种制作方法以及容器的一底部,该底部的刚性和真空压力符合容器热填充时对刚性和真空压力的要求。在一具体实施例中,容器的该底部可包括多个可翻转壁和铰链。利用可翻转壁的翻转减小一部分容器在热填充时受到的真空压力。可翻转壁起初在容器模具中被做成从容器内部向外伸出。容器的模具,按照本发明一具体实施例,消除了模具中的多数深突起部而代之以一个或多个形成这些可翻转壁的空腔。由于用模具中的空腔取代深突起部,因此塑料可流入空腔而在容器底区域中更好地形成所有模具表面,从而增加塑料在空腔上的定位。由于塑料展开进入空腔,因此热填充时容器底下垂的可能性降低。在吹塑成从容器内部向外伸出后,可翻转壁可在容器底中经一个或多个阶段围绕铰链转动,得出容器的最终形状。

首先结合图1A-1B说明具体实施例。按照本发明一具体实施例,容器100吹塑成图1A-1B所示形状。图1A为容器100的侧视图,图1B为容器100的底部的立体图。如上所述,容器100包括一顶部102、一肩部104、一容器主体106和一底部108。容器100顶部102一般呈有一通向容器100内部、可插入一塞子(未示出)的开口的任何结构。该塞子可为任何用来形成容器100内热填充制品的气密密封、从而防止空气从顶部102进入容器100的装置。在一具体实施例中,顶部102包括可与一为一旋帽的塞子相连接的螺纹112。该帽可旋在顶部102螺纹112上而与容器100形成密封。在另一实施例中,顶部102上可用一密封插头密封容器100。在本发明范围内也可使用其它塞子或密封。
容器100的肩部104从容器主体106的顶部伸展到顶部102的底部。肩部104一般从容器主体106向顶部102的底部缩小。肩部104可呈任何想要的形状,也可从容器100中省略。肩部104可包括各种图案、形状和其他几何形状,或二者选一,也可笔直。在所述实施例中,肩部104底部的宽度等于容器主体106顶部宽度,随着肩部104接近顶部102向里弯曲而缩小。肩部104在到达顶部102前向外弯曲,然后随着肩部104到达顶部102向里弯曲。在本发明范围内肩104也可呈其它形状、包括其它图案。

容器100吹塑成图1A-1B所示形状以增加底部108的刚性。容器100制成这一形状以确保底部108的所有部位都以足够精度制作到位。在第一阶段制成容器100的一个优点是,较之容器一上来制成第二阶段所示形状(见图2A-B),更便于塑料在底部108上的定位,从而底部108的刚性提高。第一壁120和第二壁124沿纵向轴线150从容器向外伸出的结果是塑料在底部108上的定位提高,因为塑料在吹塑时可进一部展开到模具的底部108的一空腔中。随着塑料分子的定位的提高,这些分子伸直而形成晶体结构。一般地,塑料的结晶度越高,塑料的刚性越大,从而容器100在底部108处的结构整体性提高。底部108的结构整体性的重要之处在于它使得容器能承受热填充的严酷。一类似的提高定位的过程也可如在审理中的美国临时专利申请号No.60/671,459,申请日为2005年4月15日的专利所记载的,在此结合其内容作为参考。
应该指出,如容器100一上来吹塑成图2A-B所示形状(即跳过第一阶段),底部108在站立面118和第三铰链144处的制作就会不完整。如底部108在站立面118处制作不完整,站立面118就会不平或弯曲,从而容器直立在平整表面上时会摇晃。底部108制作不完整的原因在于容器在展开吹塑时的制作方式。由于容器为展开吹塑,因此气体把塑料展开到容器的模具、例如容器100的模具上。如模具中有图2A-B所示一形成底部108的突起,塑料就得在突起周围从第二铰链122向下展开到站立面118和第三铰链144(见图2A-B)。与模具的接触会使得塑料在第二铰链122处受阻,塑料无法顺利向下形成站立面118、第一铰链142和第三铰链144。
容器100形成第一阶段所示的形状较之跳过第一阶段还减小了底部108的壁厚和减小了底部108无定形厚的小块的产生。这使得底部108的塑料数量可减少而不影响到容器性能,在某些情况下,这一技术提高了底部108的性能。同样,在第一阶段形成容器可使塑料在底部108中的分布更均匀。此外,底部108的刚性提高可使第一壁102和第二壁124翻转而底部108的净(net)变形很小。从而,如第一阶段所述形成容器100可使底部108保持其外观,在第一壁120和第二壁124翻转后稳稳地站立在平整表面上。
容器吹塑成图1A-B所示第一阶段形状后第一壁120可围绕第一铰链142翻转成图2A-B所示的形状。图2A为第二阶段的容器的侧视图,图2B为本发明容器的底部的立体图。翻转时,容器100保持在模具(未示出)内的同时在第二壁124和小块126上作用一力。在一实施例中,在吹塑过程中尽可能迟地进行第一壁120的翻转,以使容器100在从模具中弹出前尽可能冷却,因为翻转时容器越热,容器在不需要部位起皱的可能性越大。可在容器即将弹出前进行翻转,以减小翻转在容器100中造成不需要的皱褶或变形。可用气缸(未示出)对第二壁124和小块126加力而翻转第一壁120。在本发明范围内也可使用其它机械装置进行翻转。翻转时,第一壁120中的折痕折曲,以便翻转和防止底部108变形。第一壁120从第一阶段翻转成第二阶段时围绕第一铰链142转动。第一壁120从第一阶段翻转成第二阶段时还围绕第二铰链122相对第二壁124转动。如图2A-B所示,第一壁120翻转后,第一壁120相对纵向轴线150向容器100内部倾斜,第二壁124相对纵向轴线150从容器100内部向外倾斜。
在第二阶段中,容器100可热填充制品。可用第二阶段的底部108的结构减小容器内在热填充时受到的一部分真空压力。容器100热填充制品、然后用塞子、例如但不限于帽密封后制品开始在容器100内冷却。制品冷却时制品的冷却和收缩造成制品体积减小,从而在容器100内生成真空压力。容器100内的真空压力会造成容器100向里收缩。为克服容器100内的一部分真空压力,第二壁124围绕第二铰链122改变位置。在改变位置过程中,第二壁124的折痕136折曲而便于该位置改变和防止底108发生实质性的净(net)变形。第二壁124翻转时还围绕第三铰链144相对小块126转动。第二壁124的该位置改变相当于位置从第二阶段(见图2A-B)改变成第三阶段(见图3A-B)。第一壁120和第二壁124也可都在热填充前翻转。
第二壁124翻转时,可在小块126上作用一力围绕第二铰链122翻转第二壁124。该翻转也造成小块126围绕第三铰链144转动。可用气缸、凸轮推动杆或其它机械对小块126加力。随着机械对小块126受力的加大,小块126围绕第三铰链144翻转,第二壁124相对纵向轴线150围绕第二铰链142翻转。翻转后,第一壁120和第二壁124都相对纵向轴线150向容器内部倾斜。第一壁120翻转时,底部108的刚性、特别在站立面118和环形凸壁132处的刚性防止底部108变形。同样,第二壁124翻转时,底部108的刚性、特别在第一壁120、站立面118和环形凸壁132处的刚性防止底部108变形。底部108的刚性使得第一壁120和第二壁124翻转后保持其形状,从而底部108的第一壁120、第二壁124、小块126或任何其它部分不发生实质性的净(net)变形。
图3A为第三阶段的容器的侧视图,图3B为本发明容器的底部的立体图。图3A-B示出第二壁124的位置从第二阶段变为第三阶段。位置改变时,第二壁124相对纵向轴线150从一从容器100向外伸出的位置移动到一向里伸入容器100内的位置。位置改变造成第二壁124围绕第二铰链122转动并造成第二壁124围绕第三铰链144相对小块126转动。第二壁124向里位移使得容器100内的体积减小。这一体积减小使得由冷却制品的体积收缩造成的容器100内真空压力减小一部分。第二壁124翻转时减小的体积与容器100的底部108内以第二壁124和小块126为界的区域的体积有关。该减小的体积与图2A-B所示其第二壁124从容器100内向外伸出的容器100与图3A-B所示其第二壁124向里伸入容器100内的容器100的内部体积之差有关。通过翻转一底壁减小压力也如在审理中的美国非临时专利申请No.11/249,342,主题为“容器的一种可复位的底部结构”(A Repositionable Base Structure of aContainer),申请日为2005年10月14日的专利所记载的,在此结合其内容作为参考。
因此,本发明容器100一具体实施例可减小由热填充造成的真空压力的一部分,其底部108的刚性足以使得容器100稳定地站立在平整表面上,第一壁120和第二壁124的位置改变不造成容器100实质性的净(net)变形。
上述实施例和示例为非限制性的示例。

Claims (23)

1、一种方法,包括:
吹塑一容器,该容器的一底部包括第一铰链、与所述第一铰链相连接的第一壁、与所述第一壁相连接的第二铰链,和与所述第二铰链相连接的第二壁,所述第一壁和所述第二壁都构作成相对所述容器的纵向轴线从所述容器内部向外伸出;
相对该纵向轴线围绕所述第一铰链向所述容器内部翻转所述第一壁;
以及相对该纵向轴线围绕所述第二铰链向所述容器内部翻转所述第二壁,其中,所述底部的刚性在翻转所述第二壁时防止所述底部发生实质性的净(net)变形。
2、按权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,一气缸或一机械装置围绕所述第一铰链翻转所述第一壁。
3、按权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,一气缸或一机械装置围绕所述第二铰链翻转所述第二壁。
4、按权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述第一壁和第二壁都吹塑在一沿该纵向轴线从所述容器内部向外伸出的位置上。
5、按权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述底部进一步包括:
与所述第二壁相连接的第三铰链;以及
与所述第三铰链连接的一小块,其中,所述小块在翻转所述第二壁时围绕所述第三铰链转动。
6、一容器的一底部,包括:
一站立面;
一第一壁;
一第二壁;
位于所述站立面与所述第一壁之间的第一铰链,所述第一壁可相对容器的纵向轴线围绕所述第一铰链转动;以及
位于所述第一壁与所述第二壁之间的第二铰链,所述第二壁可相对容器的纵向轴线围绕所述第二铰链转动,其中,所述底部的刚性在转动所述第二壁时防止所述底部发生实质性净(net)变形。
7、按权利要求6所述的底部,其特征在于,进一步包括:
与所述站立面相邻的一环形凸壁。
8、按权利要求6所述的底部,其特征在于,所述第二壁在所述第一壁转动时可接受一机械力或气动力。
9、按权利要求6所述的底部,进一步包括一小块,其特征在于,所述小块在所述第二壁转动时可接受一机械力或气动力。
10、按权利要求9所述的底部,进一步包括位于所述小块与所述第二壁之间的第三铰链,其特征在于,所述小块在所述第二壁转动时可围绕所述第三铰链转动。
11、按权利要求6所述的底部,其特征在于,所述第一壁和第二壁都吹塑在一相对该纵向轴线从所述容器内部向外伸出的位置上。
12、按权利要求6所述的底部,其特征在于,所述第一壁在热填充前转动。
13、按权利要求6所述的底部,其特征在于,所述第二壁在热填充后转动。
14、按权利要求6所述的底部,其特征在于,所述第二壁向容器内部的转动降低热填充后容器内的真空压力。
15、按权利要求6所述的底部,其特征在于,所述第一壁和第二壁呈截头圆锥形。
16、一具有一纵向轴线的容器,包括:
一具有一通向容器内部的开口的顶部;
一与所述顶部相连接的颈部;
一与所述颈部连接的主体;以及
一与所述主体连接的底部,所述底部包括:
一站立面;
一第一壁;
一第二壁,所述第一壁和所述第二壁相对该纵向轴线从容器内部向外伸出;
位于所述站立面与所述第一壁之间的第一铰链,所述第一壁可相对该纵向轴线围绕第一铰链向容器内部转动;以及
位于所述第一壁与所述第二壁之间的第二铰链,所述第二壁可相对该纵向轴线围绕所述第二铰链向容器内部转动,其中,所述底部的刚性在所述第二壁翻转时防止所述底部发生实质性净(net)变形。
17、按权利要求16所述的容器,其特征在于,所述底进一步包括:
与所述站立面相邻的一环形凸壁。
18、按权利要求16所述的容器,其特征在于,所述第一壁和所述第二壁对称或不对称。
19、按权利要求16所述的容器,其特征在于,所述第一铰链和所述第二铰链对称或不对称。
20、按权利要求16所述的容器,其特征在于,所述底部的所述第二壁进一步包括:
一可接受翻转所述第二壁的力的小块。
21、按权利要求20所述的容器,进一步包括位于所述小块与所述第二壁之间的第三铰链,其特征在于,所述小块在所述第二壁转动时可围绕所述第三铰链转动。
22、按权利要求16所述的容器,其特征在于,第一壁围绕第一铰链向容器内部转动而改变位置。
23、按权利要求22所述的容器,其特征在于,第二壁围绕第二铰链向容器内部转动而改变位置。
