背景技术
自从盒式录像机(VCR)的出现以来,所发射的视频及音频节目编排的观看者就能够私下地记录其最喜爱的节目。因此,此技术已允许观看者将感兴趣的电视节目“时移”到后续较方便的时间。最近,通常提供于卫星及有线电视接收器或“机顶盒”中的数字录像机(DVR)单元已通过允许在不使用可装卸存储媒体的情况下以更自动化的方式记录大量节目来向观看者供应对音频/视频串流进行时移的更方便手段。

具体实施方式
图1提供用于替换所记录的音频/视频串流内的音频数据的方法100的流程图。一般来说,音频/视频串流是可发射到例如地面(“空中激活”)电视接收器、有线电视接收器、卫星电视接收器、计算机、便携式电子装置等电子装置及由所述电子装置接收的音频数据及相关联视频数据相连块。音频/视频串流的视频数据可包含一连串的相连视频帧,而音频/视频串流的音频数据可包含音频信息相继样本。此外,可通过例如广播、多播、联播、闭路、按次付费、点对点(通过“串流化”文件传送或其它手段)或其它方法等任一发射方法来递送音频/视频串流。另外,可借助任一通信技术(例如通过卫星、有线或光缆、无线或其它手段)来发射音频/视频串流。还可经由例如因特网或其它广域网络、局域网络、专用网络、移动通信系统、地面电视网络、有线电视网络及卫星电视网络等任一类型的通信网络来传送音频/视频串流。

根据所述补充数据的弹性及其它特性,通信网络202的产生并发射位置信息208的节点可向接收装置210发出多于位置信息208的一个实例。举例来说,文本数据(例如隐藏式字幕数据)通常因保护所述文本数据的错误校正能力有限而易出错。因此,接收装置210可不能检测文本数据中的一些文本数据,包含经选择用于规定经识别位置306的文本数据。为解决此问题,可从第一音频/视频串流204的文本数据中选择多个唯一文本串以指示经识别位置306。多个文本串(每一文本串可能伴随有其自身的偏移)的使用可因此导致经由通信网络202发射到接收装置的多个位置信息208集,所述多个位置信息208集中的每一者与相同音频数据段206相关联。每一位置信息208集可单独地发出或可与一个以上其它集一起发射。
音频数据段206与位置信息208可彼此在逻辑上相关联以防止位置信息208与正在接收装置210处接收的其它音频数据段206的不正确相关联。为此目的,音频数据段206可包含使音频数据段206与其适当位置信息208相关联的识别符或其它指示。相反地,位置信息208可包含此识别符,或者音频数据段206及位置信息208两者均可包含此识别符。在单独地(例如在单独的数据文件中)发射音频数据段206及位置信息208的情况下,使用识别符可为适当的。在另一实施例中,可将音频数据段206与位置信息208封装于到接收装置210的相同发射或数据文件中,使得接收装置210可在此基础上识别位置信息208与音频数据段206。
此外,音频数据段206及位置信息208两者可与第一音频/视频串流204相关联以防止这些数据与另一音频/视频串流的任何不正确相关联。因此,例如上文所论述的识别符等识别符可与第一音频/视频串流204包含在一起以使串流204与其音频数据段206及位置信息208相关。在一个特定实例中,所述识别符可以是较早所提及的UPID。在这种情况下使用识别符解决其中在已经由通信网络202将第一音频-视频串流204发射到接收装置210之后形成音频数据段206及位置信息208的情形。在另一情形下,到发射第一音频/视频串流204的时间音频数据段206及位置信息208可用于发射。在此情况下,通信网络202可将音频数据段206及位置信息208与第一音频/视频串流204一起发射,因此使所有三个数据集204、206、208相关联。在一个实例中,音频数据段206及位置信息208可作为补充数据包含于第一音频/视频串流204内。
一旦接收装置210接收了第一音频/视频串流204、音频数据段206及位置信息208,接收装置210就可处理此信息以产生供呈现到显示器装置214的第二音频/视频串流212。图3中更具体地显示,第二音频/视频串流212包含第一音频/视频数据串流204的视频数据302以及第一串流204的音频数据304中的大部分。接着在第二音频/视频串流212中用音频数据段206替换音频数据304的位于位置信息308中所规定的经识别位置306处的部分。在图3的具体实例中,音频数据304的所替换部分是第二部分304B,如较早所描述。在其它情形下,可替换音频数据304的其它部分,包含所有音频数据304。在其它实施方案中,可取代音频数据304的多个段,可能由不同的音频数据段206取代,且由单独的位置信息208集指示。
根据一个实施例的接收装置510的更明确视图描绘于图5中。接收装置510包含通信接口502、存储单元516、音频/视频接口518及控制逻辑520。在一些实施方案中,接收装置510中还可采用用户接口522。图5中未明确地显示接收装置510中可能包含的其它组件(例如解调电路、解码逻辑等)以促进以下论述。
通信接口502可包含用以接收第一音频/视频串流504、音频数据段506及位置信息508的电路。举例来说,如果接收装置510为卫星机顶盒,那么通信接口502可经配置以经由天线从卫星转发器接收卫星节目编排,例如第一音频/视频串流402。而如果接收装置510为有线电视机顶盒,那么通信接口502可操作以经由同轴电缆接收有线电视信号等。在任一情况下,通信接口502可通过采用用于接收第一音频/视频串流402的相同技术来接收音频数据段506及位置信息508。在另一实施方案中,通信接口502可借助例如因特网、标准电话网络或其它手段等另一通信技术来接收音频数据段506及位置信息508。因此,通信网络502可采用一种或一种以上不同的通信技术(包含有线及无线通信技术)来与例如图2的通信网络202等通信网络通信。
与通信接口502耦合的是存储单元516,其经配置以存储第一音频/视频串流504及音频数据段506两者。存储单元516可包含经配置以存储一个或一个以上此类音频/视频串流的任一存储组件。实例包含但不限于硬盘驱动器、光盘驱动器及快闪半导体存储器。此外,存储单元516可包含易失性及非易失性存储器中的任一者或两者。
与存储单元516以通信方式耦合的是音频/视频接口518,其经配置以将音频/视频串流从接收单元510传送到显示器装置514以供呈现给用户。音频/视频接口518可并入有用以传送呈可由显示器装置514辨识的任一格式的音频/视频串流的电路,包含复合视频、分量视频、数字视觉接口(DVI)及高清晰度多媒体接口(HDMI)。音频/视频接口518还可并入有用以支持多个类型的这些或其它音频/视频格式的电路。在一个实例中,例如电视监视器或类似显示器组件的显示器装置514可并入于接收装置510内,如较早所指示。
与通信接口502、存储单元516及音频/视频接口518通信的是经配置以控制这三个组件502、516、518中的每一者的操作的控制逻辑520。在一个实施方案中,控制逻辑520包含处理器,例如微处理器、微控制器、数字信号处理器(DSP)或用于执行经配置以实施本文所描述的各种控制功能的软件的类似器件。在另一实施例中,代替或除处理器及相关软件外,控制逻辑520还可包含硬件逻辑电路以允许控制逻辑520控制接收装置510的其它组件。
任选地,控制逻辑520可与经配置以接收引导接收装置510的操作的用户输入523的用户接口522通信。可借助遥控装置524产生用户输入523,所述遥控装置可通过使用(例如)红外(IR)或超高频率(UHF)信号将用户输入523发射到用户接口522。在另一实施例中,可借助触摸垫或并入到接收装置510中的其它手动接口由用户接口522更直接地接收用户输入523。
借助控制逻辑520,接收装置510经配置以借助通信接口502接收第一音频/视频串流504并将音频/视频串流504存储于存储单元516中。接收装置510还经配置以经由通信接口502接收音频数据段506,也可能将音频数据段506存储于存储单元516中。在通信接口502处还接收位置信息508,所述通信接口可将位置信息508传递到控制逻辑520以供处理。在另一实施例中,可将位置信息508存储于存储单元516中以由控制逻辑520进行后续检索及处理。
在处理位置信息508之后的某一时刻,控制逻辑520产生第二音频/视频串流512并经由音频/视频接口518将其发射到显示器装置514。在一个实施例中,控制逻辑520响应于用户输入523而产生并发射第二音频/视频串流512。举例来说,用户输入523可命令接收装置510将第一音频/视频串流504传送到显示器装置514以供呈现。作为响应,控制逻辑520替代地产生并发射第二音频/视频串流512。如上文结合图2所描述,第二音频/视频串流512包含第一音频/视频串流504的音频及视频数据,但其中音频数据段506替换了第一音频/视频串流504的在位置信息508中所规定的位置处的原始音频数据,如上文相对于图2的第一音频/视频串流204结合图3所详细地描述。
根据实施方案,第二音频/视频串流512可或可不作为单独的数据结构存储于存储单元516中。在一个实例中,控制逻辑520产生整个第二音频/视频串流512并将其存储于存储单元516中。控制逻辑520可进一步用第二音频/视频串流512来盖写第一音频/视频串流504以节省存储单元516内的存储空间。否则,第一音频/视频串流504及第二音频/视频串流512两者均可驻存于存储单元516内。
在另一实施方案中,第二音频/视频串流512可不单独地存储于存储单元516内。举例来说,控制逻辑520可替代地通过将第一音频/视频串流504的音频数据及视频数据从存储单元516按呈现次序传送到音频/视频接口518而“在运行中”产生第二音频/视频串流512。在将传送由位置信息508指示的音频数据的时刻,控制逻辑520可接着致使从存储单元516发射音频数据段506,因此在音频/视频接口518处替换来自第一串流504的对应音频数据。一旦从存储单元516传送了音频数据段506的最后部分,控制逻辑520就可致使将第一串流504的原始音频数据的未由音频数据段506替换的剩余部分传送到音频/视频接口518以供呈现到显示器装置514。
在一个实施方案中,用户可借助用户输入523来选择是将第一音频/视频串流504还是将第二音频/视频串流512借助音频/视频接口518传送到显示器装置514。在另一实施例中,第一音频/视频串流504的内容提供者可借助递送到接收装置510的额外信息来阻止用户维持此控制。
如果在存储单元516中多于一个音频数据段506可用于替换第一音频/视频串流504的音频数据的规定部分,那么用户可经由用户输入523来选择音频数据段506中的哪些将在发射到显示器装置514时替换第一串流504的音频数据的对应部分。可在并入于用户接口522中且经由显示器装置514呈现给用户的菜单系统中进行此选择。
在广播环境中,例如图6的系统600中所描述的广播环境,多个接收装置610可与通信网络602耦合以接收音频/视频串流,可通过接收装置610中的任一者来全部地或部分地记录所述音频/视频串流中的任一者。结合任一数目个这些音频/视频串流,充当所述串流中的音频数据的部分或全部替换的音频数据段以及所述音频数据段中的每一者的位置信息可传送到多个接收单元610。响应于接收到音频/视频串流,接收单元610中的每一者可记录任一数目个所接收的音频/视频串流。对于经由通信网络602发射的任何音频数据段及相关联位置信息,每一接收装置610可接着审查所接收的音频数据段及位置信息是否与当前存储于装置610中的音频/视频串流相关联。如果其中未存储相关联串流,那么接收装置610可删除或忽略所接收的相关音频数据段及位置信息。
在另一实施例中,替代广播每一可能音频数据段及相关位置信息,存储于接收单元614内的音频/视频串流到相关联显示器装置614的传送可致使接收单元614针对应用于将呈现的串流的任何未完成替换音频数据段向通信网络602查询。因此,将不需要广播每一音频数据段及相关位置信息,因此潜在地减少了通信网络602上所耗用带宽的量。
本文所描述的各种实施例可提供若干个益处中的任一者。一般来说,上文所揭示的方法及系统允许在用户已记录音频/视频串流之后替换所述音频/视频串流的音频内容的全部或一部分,例如节目或商业广告消息。举例来说,最初在所记录的节目期间广播的宣布“仅本周末”促销的商业广告消息到下一周用户观看所记录的节目时可能过时。为解决此问题,可用宣布未来促销日期或其它最近信息的更新的音频数据来替换商业广告的音频部分。对于新闻、天气及体育节目以及其它类型的音频/视频串流中所呈现的信息可同样如此。
在另一情形下,一些节目可含有一些用户认为是无礼的或令人反感的语言。为再现符合更广范围观看者的口味的节目,内容提供者可使节目的音频部分的替代音频段可用。已记录节目的用户接着可选择较缓和形式的音频部分来观看。
类似地,音频/视频串流或节目的音频部分的一些或全部可以替代语言来使用。同样,用户接着可向接收装置指示语言偏好,所述接收装置接着可在向用户呈现所记录的音频/视频串流时提供针对所述语言的适当音频数据段来替代原始音频数据。
在这些实例中的每一者中,可在已记录音频/视频串流之后使替换音频数据段可用于接收装置,因此提供关于何时提供替换音频数据的显著程度的灵活性。
尽管本文已论述了本发明的数个实施例,但可能有本发明的范围所涵盖的其它实施例。举例来说,尽管主要在卫星、有线及地面机顶盒的背景内描述了各种实施例,但在其它实施例中可利用能够替换所记录的音频/视频串流的音频数据的部分的其它接收装置,例如计算机、个人数字助理(PDA)及移动通信装置。另外,本文所揭示的一个实施例的方面可与替代实施例的那些方面组合以形成本发明的其它实施方案。因此,尽管已在具体实施例的背景中描述了本发明,但提供此类描述旨在图解说明而非限制。因此,本发明的恰当范围仅由以上权利要求书及其等效内容限定。

Claims (20)

1.一种用于替换所记录的音频/视频串流内的音频数据的方法,所述方法包括:
存储第一音频/视频串流,其中所述第一音频/视频串流包括音频数据、视频数据及补充数据;
接收音频数据段;
在与所述第一音频/视频串流分离的数据文件中接收位置信息,其中所述位置信息参考所述第一音频/视频串流的所述补充数据以识别所述第一音频/视频串流内的位置;
用所述音频数据段在所述经识别位置处替换所述第一音频/视频串流的所述音频数据的至少一部分以产生第二音频/视频串流;及
传送所述第二音频/视频串流的至少一部分以供呈现。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其进一步包括:
在传送所述第二音频/视频串流的所述部分之前,存储所述第二音频/视频串流。
3.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述补充数据包括与所述第一音频/视频串流对应的文本数据。
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中在完成所述第一音频/视频串流的接收之后接收所述数据文件。
5.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述位置信息包括所述音频数据段在所述第二音频/视频串流内的开始点的指示,其中所述开始点的所述指示参考所述补充数据。
6.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中:
所述补充数据包括文本数据;且
所述位置信息包括所述文本数据的用以规定所述经识别位置的一部分的参考。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中:
所述位置信息进一步包括指示所述文本数据的所述部分与所述经识别位置之间的偏移的值。
8.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中:
所述补充数据包括时间戳数据;且
所述位置信息包括所述时间戳数据的与所述经识别位置相关联的一部分的参考。
9.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其进一步包括:
接收第二音频数据段;及
接收对所述第一音频数据段及所述第二音频数据段中的一者的选择;
其中根据所述选择用所述第一音频数据段或所述第二音频数据段来执行替换所述第一音频/视频串流的所述音频数据的所述部分。
10.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其进一步包括:
接收参考所述补充数据以识别所述位置的第二位置信息;
其中可使用所述第一位置信息及所述第二位置信息中的至少一者来确定所述经识别位置。
11.一种用于替换音频/视频数据相连块内的音频数据的方法,其包括:
经由通信网络将音频/视频数据相连块发射到接收装置,其中所述相连块包括音频数据、视频数据及补充数据;
将所述相连块存储于所述接收装置处;
经由所述通信网络将音频数据段发射到所述接收装置;
经由所述通信网络将位置信息在与所述相连块分离的数据文件中发射到所述接收装置,其中所述位置信息参考所述补充数据以指示所述相连块内的位置;
用所述音频数据段在所述所指示的位置处替换所述相连块的所述音频数据的至少一部分以产生第二相连块;及
将所述第二相连块的至少一部分从所述接收装置传送到显示器装置。
12.根据权利要求11所述的方法,其中所述接收装置包括地面电视接收器、有线电视接收器、卫星电视接收器及计算机中的一者。
13.根据权利要求11所述的方法,其中所述通信网络包括地面电视网络、有线电视网络、卫星电视网络、广域网络及局域网络中的至少一者。
14.一种用于替换所记录的音频/视频串流内的音频数据的接收装置,所述接收装置包括:
通信接口,其经配置以接收第一音频/视频串流、音频数据段及位置信息,其中所述第一音频/视频串流包括音频数据、视频数据及补充数据,且其中所述位置信息是在与所述第一音频/视频串流分离的数据文件中接收的且参考所述补充数据以识别所述第一音频/视频串流内的位置;
存储单元,其经配置以存储所述第一音频/视频串流及所述音频数据段;
音频/视频接口,其经配置以将音频/视频串流发射到显示器装置;及
控制逻辑,其经配置以用所述音频数据段在所述经识别位置处替换所述第一音频/视频串流的所述音频数据的至少一部分以产生第二音频/视频串流,并将所述第二音频/视频串流的至少一部分传送到所述音频/视频接口。
15.根据权利要求14所述的接收装置,其中所述控制逻辑经配置以将所述第二音频/视频串流存储于所述存储单元中。
16.根据权利要求14所述的接收装置,其进一步包括:
用户接口,其经配置以接收用户输入;
其中所述控制逻辑经配置以基于所述用户输入而将所述第二音频/视频串流传送到所述音频/视频接口。
17.根据权利要求14所述的接收装置,其进一步包括:
用户接口,其经配置以接收用户输入;
其中所述通信接口经配置以接收第二音频数据段;
其中所述存储单元经配置以存储所述第二音频数据段;且
其中所述控制逻辑经配置以基于所述用户输入用所述第一音频数据段或所述第二音频数据段在所述经识别位置处替换所述第一音频/视频串流的所述音频数据的所述部分。
18.根据权利要求14所述的接收装置,其中所述通信接口经配置以在完成所述第一音频/视频串流的接收之后接收所述数据文件,其中所述数据文件包括所述位置信息及所述音频数据段中的至少一者。
19.根据权利要求14所述的接收装置,其中所述补充数据包括与所述第一音频/视频串流对应的文本数据。
20.根据权利要求14所述的接收装置,其进一步包括所述显示器装置。
