被分类成区域1A的复合飞机构件需要最大程度的雷击防护。SAE ARP5416中提供了用于验证区域1A飞机构件的雷击试验程序。为了满足SAEARP 5416的要求,用来复制区域1A结构的试验台必须能够承受具有特定电流波形的人工雷击而不会穿透试验台。
目前用于非金属复合飞机结构的电流雷击防护系统,典型地包括防雷击表面膜,该表面膜具有置于复合结构外部表面上或靠近其布置的金属箔或网,以便将因雷击在受防护表面上产生的电能分散或消散掉。例如,可以将金属箔或网嵌合置于复合结构表面上的聚合材料的薄层中。例如在美国专利5,470,413号中描述了一种将金属箔或网粘结在用于雷击防护的叠层复合结构表面上的方法。可选地,在制造该结构时,可以将金属箔或网结合在叠层复合结构的表面部中。例如,在美国专利5,417,385号中描述了在叠层复合结构外表面附近设置金属箔或网的制造方法。为了提供用于涂色的光滑的动力学外表面,可以在含有金属箔或网的表面膜上设置薄的聚合物表面层。
普通类型的雷击防护包括设置在防护复合结构外部表面上或附近的铝箔或网。在一个实施例中,能够理想地保护区域1A构件的铝箔或网具有大约每平方英寸0.02磅或大约74克/平方米(gsm)的面积重量密度。术语“面积重量密度”通常与诸如纺织物、带子、箔等有关的薄层材料,本领域普通技术人员都非常了解。本文中所使用的“面积重量密度”是指材料的重量除以材料的面积(例如矩形件的长度乘以宽度)。常规雷击防护系统(铝箔或网、聚合物基体,和玻璃纤维腐蚀隔离层)总的面积重量密度可以是大约0.11磅/平方英尺或大约500gsm或以下。
尽管如上所述的铝箔或网已被证实对区域1A构件的雷击防护是有效的,然而这种金属箔或网可能会不当地增加飞机的重量。此外,金属箔或网与聚合物及其附着的增强材料之间的热膨胀系数(CTE)不同会使各组件产生热应力。因此,在服务过程中飞机在常规飞行中受到大气温度的重复变化时,受防护表面可能会产生微裂纹。在高空中,飞机(包括其外部构件)通常会暴露在较低的大气温度中,而在地面上时,飞机暴露在较高的大气温度中。温度上的这些周期性变化可能是相当大的。当金属箔或网和周围的聚合物材料具有不同的热膨胀系数时,这些温度上的变化可能会在金属和相关复合结构之间产生不同的热膨胀,而合成的热应力可能会在复合结构的表面中产生微裂纹。由于这些微裂纹可能会使湿气或化学物质进入到复合结构中并使结构功能劣化,因而是不希望出现的。
飞机制造商及其供应商基于各种原因正在不断寻求各种减轻产生产品重量的各种方法,包括提高每单位燃油的飞行距离/或提高燃油效率。因此,需要提供一种用于区域1A飞机构件雷击防护的改良的表面膜,比已有带有金属箔或筛网(screen)的表面膜在面积重量密度上更小。特别地,需要一种用于雷击防护区域1A构件的改良的表面膜,其具有小于大约500gsm的面积重量密度。此外,还需要一种改良耐久性的用于区域1A雷击防护的表面膜,并且其与带有金属箔或筛网的表面膜相比更不易产生表面微裂纹。
发明内容
在一个实施方式中,一种具有外部表面的飞机构件,包括:置于该外部表面上或附近的防雷击表面膜。该表面膜可以包括处于聚合物基体中的预成型件。该预成型件包括具有第一面积重量密度的衬底和生长在衬底上的隔开的多个碳纳米管,该碳纳米管具有第二面积重量密度。第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和可以小于大约500克/平方米,预成型件可以具有小于大约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻。
在另一个实施方式中,防雷击表面膜包括具有第一面积重量密度的衬底和生长在衬底上的隔开的多个碳纳米管,该纳米管具有第二面积重量密度。第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和可以小于大约500gsm,而其上生长有纳米管的衬底可以具有小于大约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻。
本发明的另一个实施方式包括一种具有雷击防护功能的飞机构件的制造方法。该方法可以包括提供具有外表面部的飞机构件;通过提供具有第一面积重量密度的衬底和在衬底上生长具有第二面积重量密度的多个隔开的碳纳米管来形成防雷击表面膜;将防雷击表面膜粘接到外表面部上以形成防止雷击防护的飞机构件。该方法还可以包括选择衬底的组分和衬底的第一面积重量密度,并对碳纳米管的第二面积重量密度进行控制以使第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和小于大约500gsm,并使其上生长有纳米管的衬底具有小于大约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。
另外一个实施方式包括具有至少一个层的复合飞机构件,该至少一个层包括织造或非织造衬底和生长在衬底上的多个碳纳米管。其上生长碳纳米管的衬底可以为复合飞机构件提供结构增强,此外或可选地,可以提供至少某种程度的雷击防护。
另外一个实施方式包括一种飞机构件上的纤维增强复合表面膜,其包括树脂基体中的碳纤维。所述表面膜中的碳纤维具有大于至少大约6mm的长度并且包括生长在纤维上的碳纳米管,该碳纳米管基本上均匀地分布在纤维上并且具有大约1至100微米之间的长度。

具体实施方式
下面描述一种用于区域1A、区域2A和2B,和区域3飞机构件的改良的防雷击表面膜,其具有比带有金属箔或网的常规表面膜更小的面积重量密度。与含有金属箔或网的表面膜相比,这种改良的表面膜更不易于出现表面微裂纹。
在一个实施方式中,防雷击表面膜布置在飞机构件的外部表面上或靠近其布置。在本文中,短语“靠近”是指在表面上或表面附近,其中靠近表面布置的膜位于或靠近表面。在一个实施方式中,导电表面膜距离结构外部表面不超过大约0.5毫米(mm)。表面膜可以包括具有生长在其上的多个碳纳米管(“CNT”)的衬底。表面膜可以包括具有生长在其上的多个碳纳米管的衬底,其中碳纳米管可以是单壁碳纳米管(SWCNT),双壁碳纳米管(DWCNT),多壁碳纳米管(MWCNT),或其任何组合。可选地,可以用碳纳米纤维(CNF)代替碳纳米管,或者使用二者的组合。在下文中,术语“CNT”和“碳纳米管”是指包括碳纳米管、碳纳米纤维和碳纳米管与碳纳米纤维的组合,术语“生长在其上的CNT”和“生长在其上的碳纳米管”是指包括生长在衬底上的碳纳米管、碳纳米纤维以及碳纳米管和碳纳米纤维的组合。优选地,衬底由具有较低电阻率的材料制成。可选,在仅需较低程度雷击防护的某些应用中可以使用具有较高电阻率的衬底。衬底和生长在其上的CNT共同构成相当大挠性和导电性的预成型件。在本文中,术语“预成型件”是指具有多个生长在其上的CNT的衬底。
可以利用像例如2007年5月15日提交的国际申请PCT/US2007/011577中所述的方法或者利用例如由N.Yamamoto等在49thAIAA/ASME/ASCE/AHS/ASC Structures,Structural Dynamics,and MaterialsConference,April 7-10,2008,Schaumburg,IL发表的“Electrical Properties ofHybrid Woven Composites Reinforced with Aligned Carbon Nanotubes”(“Yamamoto”)中所述的方法使CNT生长在衬底上。在此以引用方式全文并入国际申请PCT/US2007/011577和Yamamoto所公开的内容。如PCT/US2007/011577所述,使CNT生长在衬底上的一种方法可以包括将衬底表面暴露在氧化气体中而使其表面功能化,然后通过将衬底浸没在催化剂溶液中以在衬底表面上形成催化剂。可选地,催化剂可以通过对衬底进行电沉积处理而形成于衬底上。然后可以使用化学汽相沉积以使CNT易于生长在衬底的表面上。当使用电沉积在衬底上形成催化剂时,该方法例如可以包括诸如次磷酸钠的还原剂。氧化气体例如可以选自臭氧、二氧化碳及其混合。衬底可以在大约100℃和900℃之间的温度下暴露于氧化气体中。当氧化气体包括臭氧时,衬底可以在大于100℃和大约200℃之间的温度下进行暴露,当氧化气体包括二氧化碳时,衬底可以在大于400℃和大约900℃之间的温度下进行暴露。催化剂溶液例如可以包括水或酒精溶液和选自铁盐、钼盐、镍盐、钴盐及其组合的可溶盐。可以在将衬底浸没在该溶液中之后且在对衬底进行化学汽相沉积以形成CNT之前,对衬底进行干燥。化学汽相沉积可以在大约600℃和大约900℃之间的温度下进行,且可以采用选自乙炔、乙烯、甲烷及其组合的烃气。生长于衬底上的CNT的面积重量密度可以通过控制化学汽相沉积期间的反应时间来精密地控制。上述方法产生包括生长有CNT的衬底的“预成型件”,CNT基本上均匀地分布于衬底的整个外部表面使得所生长的CNT形成与衬底共同延伸的基本连续的CNT网。在一个实施方式中,所生长的CNT有很大一部分达到或处于至少另一个所生长的CNT的大约5微米之内。例如,至少大约75%的所生长的CNT能够达到或处于至少另一个所生长的CNT的大约5微米之内。
每个生长的CNT可以包括第一端和相反的第二端,基本上每个CNT的第一端都附着在衬底的至少一部分上,第二端大致离开第一端和衬底延伸。CNT可以大致是直的,也可以具有大致螺旋形或其它形状。生长的CNT的长度可以大约5微米至大约100微米,或更优选地,可以在大约10微米至大约40微米之间,所生长的CNT的直径可以为大约1纳米(nm)至大约200纳米。所生长的CNT的形态可以从堆积的、缠绕的形态变化到未束紧的捆、散乱的和螺旋状的形态。在一个实施方式中,包含具有生长在其上的CNT的衬底的预成型件具有足够的挠性以适应像在飞机(包括其各个构件)外表面上经常可见的弧形表面。在另一个实施方式中,可以将诸如镍、铜、金、银、铂等导电金属薄层沉积在衬底或预成型件(即衬底和生长在其上的CNT)上,以便通过电镀、物理汽相沉积等来减小结构的电阻率。沉积金属层的厚度例如可以从大约0.001微米至大约50微米。
在一个实施方式中,可以将预成型件嵌入聚合树脂中以形成防雷击表面膜。在固化时,聚合树脂将预成型件组成部分(即衬底和生长在其上的CNT)粘结在构件或结构体的一个表面上或附近的固定位置上。在一个实施方式中,可以使预成型件浸渍通常用来制造复合飞机结构那种类型的环氧树脂或热塑树脂,利用现有技术中已知的制造方法,在设置复合结构的过程中,将生成的表面膜结合到复合结构的表面上或附近。在一个实施方式中,将预成型件置于复合结构受保护外部表面大约0.5mm的范围内。如果复合结构的外部表面将要被喷涂以使该表面具有平滑和具有美感的外观,在对表面进行喷涂之前,预成型件可以被设置在该表面的大约0.5毫米(或更小)之内。使用公知的方法可以将表面膜与复合结构的其他部分固化在一起,使得表面膜设置在固化结构的外部表面上或靠近其设置。在另一实施方式中,预成型件可以浸渍有或浸透有聚合树脂,该树脂可以被固化以形成耐用的片或膜,且该片或膜可以结合在飞机构件的外部表面用于防雷击。例如,预成型件可以被嵌入聚氨酯膜,且最终所获得的挠性表面膜可以通过粘接剂等结合到复合结构的外部表面。结合之后,预成型件可以靠近该结构的最外表面设置。在一个实施方式中,在将预成型件嵌入聚合树脂中之前,可以用环氧树脂对预成型件进行上浆处理。环氧树脂上浆处理有助于在装运或搬运期间使所生长的CNT附着在衬底上和/或在制造过程中促进结合。
在一个实施方式中,衬底的面积重量密度和所生长的CNT的面积重量密度被选择和被控制以使得预成型件的面积重量密度,即衬底和所生长的CNT的组合的面积重量密度,小于或等于金属箔或网和与其相关的玻璃纤维隔离层的组合的面积重量密度,且能够为区域1A飞机构件提供雷击防护。例如,当与铝箔或网和与其相关的玻璃纤维隔离层具有约500gsm的组合面积重量密度相比,衬底和所生长的CNT的组合面积重量密度可以被限制或控制为小于500gsm。以下将讨论包括不同预成型件的各实施方式的具体面积重量密度。试验结果示出了根据本发明所制造的表面膜的电阻率和SAEARP 5416规范的雷击标准之间的相互关系。包括具有小于约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率的预成型件的表面膜与SAE ARP 5416的区域2A测试要求相关,根据本发明具有小于约0.5欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率的表面膜可满足SAE ARP 5416的区域1A测试要求。在本文中,表面电阻率为使用四点探测方法测得的表面电阻率,如现有技术中公知的那样,诸如在ASTM F390“利用共线四探针阵列的金属薄膜表面电阻的标准测试方法”中陈述的方法(下文中称作“四点探针法”)等。后面会详细讨论,本发明包括能够为飞机构件提供区域1A或区域2A雷击防护的预成型件的防雷击表面膜的各个实施方式,并且具有比含有金属箔或网的表面膜的面积重量密度小的面积重量密度(即小于大约500gsm)。
在一个实施方式中,衬底可以是由导电纤维构成的加长纱线制成的编织物、纺织物,或不卷曲织物。织物衬底的结构例如可以与通常用作复合飞机结构增强件的编织物、纺织物,或不卷曲织物基本相似。导电纤维可以是碳纤维(诸如标准模量碳纤维、高模量碳纤维、热处理的碳纤维、带金属覆层的碳纤维,等等),也可以是CNT增强聚丙烯腈(PAN)碳化纤维(PAN纤维内的CNT)。本发明并不局限于碳纤维,还可应用本领域技术人员公知的其它导电纤维,例如碳化硅纤维。编织物、纺织物,或不卷曲织物衬底的面积重量密度可以为大约70gsm至大约400gsm。多个CNT可以生长在如上所述的衬底上,并且可以具有大约2gsm至大约100gsm的面积重量密度。编织物、纺织物,或不卷曲织物衬底和生长在其上的CNT的组合面积重量密度可以小于大约500gsm。衬底和生长在其上的CNT提供导电的预成型件,以便用来为诸如复合飞机结构等复合结构的外部表面提供雷击防护。在用作区域1A雷击防护时,具有编织物、纺织物,或不卷曲织物衬底和生长在其上的CNT的预成型件的一个实施方式,在利用上述的四点探针法进行测量时,可以具有小于大约0.5欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。当用作区域2A雷击防护时,例如,预成型件可以具有小于大约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。

另一个实施方式包括作为衬底的CNT纸。优选地,构成纸衬底的第一组多个CNT包括具有大于大约6mm长度的CNT。在本实施方式中,CNT纸衬底的面积重量密度可以为大约15gsm至大约200gsm。可选地,第二组多个CNT可以生长在如上所述的CNT纸衬底上,并且可以具有大约2gsm至大约100gsm的面积重量密度。在本实施方式中,CNT纸衬底和生长在其上的CNT的组合面积重量密度可以小于大约300gsm。当用作区域1A雷击防护时,包括CNT纸衬底的预成型件的一个实施方式(可具有或不具有生长在其上的CNT)在利用上述的四点探针法进行测量时,可以具有小于大约0.5欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。当用作区域2A雷击防护时,例如,预成型件可以具有小于大约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。
尽管如上所述的衬底和生长在其上的CNT本身具有导电性,以满足某些雷击防护的需要,然而仍然可以对预成型件进行热处理以获得导电更好的导电性能。可以在真空或氩、氮等惰性气氛中,在大约600℃至1800℃之间的温度下在大约0.25至24小时中,对预成型件进行热处理。当用作区域1A雷击防护时,在热处理步骤之后的预成型件,在利用上述的四点探针法进行测量时,可以具有小于大约0.5欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。当用作区域2A雷击防护时,例如,预成型件可以具有小于大约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。
尽管如上所述的衬底由具有高导电性的材料制成,然而在某些应用中,根据本发明的雷击防护表面膜还可以包括由具有相对较低导电性的材料制成的衬底。如上所述,不同的飞机构件需要不同程度的雷击防护。尽管用于区域1A的雷击防护表面膜可能需要导电衬底,生长有CNT的不导电衬底提供的导电路径可能足以充分地为区域2A、区域2B或区域3飞机构件或者为诸如风涡轮叶片等非飞机构件消耗较低能级的电能。在这样的应用中,衬底例如可以包括织造或编织的玻璃纤维织物,这在成本上低于上述的导电衬底。
另外的实施方式包括织造的或延展的金属筛网作为衬底。该织造的或延展的金属筛网可以由诸如铜、铝、青铜等构成。在一个实施方式中,金属筛网可以具有大约40gsm至大约400gsm的面积重量密度。如上所述,可以在衬底上生长多个CNT。在一个实施方式中,生长的CNT可以具有大约2gsm至大约100gsm的面积重量密度。织造的或延展的金属筛网和所生长的CNT的组合面积重量密度可以小于约500gsm。当用于区域1A雷击防护时,包括织造的或延展的金属筛网和所生长的CNT的预成型件可以具有小于约通过四点探测方法测得的0.5欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。当用于区域2A雷击防护时,例如预成型件可以具有小于约1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。
可以使用现有的公知方法通过热熔或浸液涂漆使如上所述包括生长有CNT的衬底的预成型件浸渍有或浸透有热塑性树脂或环氧树脂,并且可以通过现有方法将其设置到要与衬底结合的复合结构上。公知的液体模制技术诸如树脂膜浸渍、树脂转移模制和真空助力树脂转移模制也可以用于将预成型件并入复合结构的外部表面部分。热塑性树脂或环氧树脂占据衬底之内和预成型件所生长的CNT之间的空间。预成型件可以用作单个表面层,或者两个或更多预成型件层可以叠层的方式在位于复合结构的表面处或靠近复合结构的表面处被并入复合结构中。为了提供平滑和空气动力的外表面且使表面产生微裂纹的可能性最小,诸如聚合粘接剂等聚合材料可以应用在整个防雷击表面膜上。此外,在该结构的整个外部表面上喷涂一层通常用于飞机和飞机构件上那种类型的涂料,而不会损害预成型件将由雷击所产生的电能充分地分散和消散的能力。
当衬底由诸如碳纤维、CNT增强PAN碳化纤维、CNT或由CNT构成的纤维等非金属材料制成时,防雷击表面膜可以具有与构成相关复合结构材料的平面内CTE相同数量级的热膨胀系数。在一个实施方式中,表面膜的平面内CTE在构成相关复合结构的材料的平面内CTE的大约90%至大约100%的范围内。因此,和具有相对较高CTE的金属箔或筛网相比,这种防雷击表面膜基本上不易于因温度周期性变化而在受防护表面上形成表面微裂纹。即使衬底与生长在其上的碳纳米管总的面积重量密度等于只是稍稍小于常规的金属箔或筛网,因为减小了因热膨胀差异而产生微裂纹的可能性也能获得显著技术优势。例如,设置有根据本发明所述的防雷击表面膜的飞机构件优选地能够承受处于-65℃至160℃之间的大约2,000次热循环,而基本上不会使构件的外部表面产生微裂纹。
当衬底如上所述为由铜、铝、青铜等构成且其上生长有CNT的织造或延展金属筛网时,其质量可以比雷击防护现有技术中目前所使用类型的金属筛网的质量小很多,而其仍然能够提供等效的雷击防护。与较重金属筛网相比,生长有碳CNT的较小密度的金属筛网衬底因热膨胀的不同在毗连复合材料时产生的应力相当小,因而,与具有较大密度的现有技术金属筛网系统相比,不易因具有不同的热膨胀而出现表面微裂纹。
在一个实施方式中,如上所述的膜能够在叠层复合结构中替换一个或多个结构上的预浸渍层。在这样的实施方式中,膜能够为复合结构既提供雷击防护又提供结构上的增强,或能够仅用于结构上的增强。这样的复合结构可以包括一个或更多这种膜的层,和/或可以包括比以上具体描述的表面膜更厚和更重的一个或更多的膜层。当在复合结构中用作结构增强层时,这种膜可以包括生长有CNT的衬底,该衬底具有超过以上其他实施方式中所述的面积重量密度和/或表面电阻率的具体限制的面积重量密度和/或表面电阻率。可选地,如上所述的膜可以用于叠层复合结构中的所有层。在此实施方式中,由于构件不需要单独的防雷击表面膜,因而能够实现重量的有效节约。
在一个实施方式中,具有所期望性能的纤维增强复合构件可以包括在树脂基体中包括碳纤维的一个或更多层。碳纤维具有至少大于约6毫米的长度且包括如上所述生长在纤维上的碳纳米管。该纳米管基本均匀地分布在该纤维上且长度在约1和100微米之间。优选地,生长有碳纳米管的碳纤维层靠近复合构件的外表面布置,更优选地,布置在处于构件外表面的约0.5毫米之内。更优选地,碳纳米管生长在碳纤维上使得对于纳米管总数的至少75%而言,一个纳米管处于另一个纳米管的约5微米之内。根据所期望的构件材料特性,它可以仅包括设置在复合构件外部表面或靠近其设置的一层生长有纳米管的碳纤维,或者整个构件可以由生长有纳米管的碳纤维制成,或者构件可以包括处于该范围之间的任意数量的碳纤维层。
如上所述的膜可以结合进或连接于基本上任何需要雷击防护和/或结构增强的结构上。例如,这样的膜可以结合进或连接于飞机引擎机舱、机身、机翼或垂直尾翼、直升机旋转机翼或其他直升机构件,或者具有这类结构的构件或部分。另外,它们可以结合进或连接于于诸如风轮机叶片等其他结构及其支撑结构。其他的用途对于本领域技术人员来说是明显的。

Claims (30)
1.一种飞机构件,具有外部表面并且包括:
a.置于所述外部表面上或靠近所述外部表面布置并具有预成型件的防雷击表面膜,所述预成型件包括:
i.具有第一面积重量密度的衬底;和
ii.生长在所述衬底上的多个隔开的碳纳米管,所述碳纳米管具有第二面积重量密度,所述碳纳米管减小所述预成型件的表面电阻;
b.其中第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和小于500克/平方米;并且
c.其中预成型件具有小于1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻。
2.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,其中所述预成型件具有小于0.5欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻。
3.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,其中所述预成型件设置于聚合材料内。
4.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,其中所述衬底包括多个导电纤维,并且其中所述碳纳米管的端部与所述导电纤维相连接。
5.如权利要求4所述的飞机构件,其中所述导电纤维包括碳纤维或碳纳米管增强聚丙烯腈碳化纤维,并且其中第一面积重量密度在70克/平方米至400克/平方米之间。
6.如权利要求4所述的飞机构件,其中所述衬底是纺织物、编织物或不卷曲织物,或者是非织造的毡垫、面纱或稀洋纱,或者纸。
7.如权利要求6所述的飞机构件,其中所述导电纤维是碳纳米管,其中第一面积重量密度在15克/平方米至200克/平方米之间,并且其中第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和小于300克/平方米。
8.如权利要求6所述的飞机构件,其中所述导电纤维具有大于6mm的长度。
9.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,其中所述衬底包括金属网,并且其中第一面积重量密度在40克/平方米至400克/平方米之间。
10.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,其中所述碳纳米管具有5微米至100微米的长度。
11.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,其中所述碳纳米管具有1纳米至200纳米的直径。
12.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,还包括沉积在衬底或预成型件上的金属材料。
13.如权利要求1所述的飞机构件,其中所述外部表面限定飞机发动机短舱、机身、机翼或垂直尾翼、直升机旋翼桨叶或其它直升机部件,或其组件或部分。
14.一种防雷击表面膜,包括:
a.具有第一面积重量密度的衬底和生长在衬底上的隔开的多个碳纳米管,所述碳纳米管具有第二面积重量密度,所述碳纳米管减小所述表面膜的表面电阻;
b.其中第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和小于500克/平方米,并且所述碳纳米管基本均匀地分布在纤维上且其长度在1至100微米之间。
15.如权利要求14的防雷击表面膜,其中所述膜具有小于1.0欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。
16.如权利要求14所述的防雷击表面膜,其中所述衬底和所述碳纳米管设置在聚合材料内。
17.如权利要求14所述的防雷击表面膜,其中所述衬底包括多个包括碳纤维或碳纳米管增强聚丙烯腈碳化纤维的纤维,并且其中第一面积重量密度在70克/平方米至400克/平方米之间。
18.如权利要求14所述的防雷击表面膜,其中隔开的碳纳米管生长在长度大于6mm的多个碳纳米管上,其中第一面积重量密度在15克/平方米至200克/平方米之间,并且第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和小于300克/平方米。
19.如权利要求14所述的防雷击表面膜,其中所述多个碳纳米管包括长度为5微米至100微米且直径为1纳米至200纳米的碳纳米管。
20.如权利要求14所述的防雷击表面膜,其中所述衬底包括纺织物或延展金属筛网,并且其中第一面积重量密度在70克/平方米至400克/平方米之间。
21.一种具有雷击防护的飞机构件的制造方法,所述方法包括:
a.提供具有外表面部的飞机结构;
b.通过提供具有第一面积重量密度的衬底并在所述衬底上生长隔开的多个碳纳米管来形成防雷击表面膜,所述碳纳米管具有第二面积重量密度,所述碳纳米管减小所述衬底的表面电阻;
c.将防雷击表面膜粘接到所述外表面部上以形成一外部表面部分;以及
d.选择衬底的组分和面积重量密度,并控制碳纳米管的面积重量密度,以使第一面积重量密度和第二面积重量密度的总和小于500克/平方米,并使其上生长有纳米管的衬底具有小于1欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。
22.如权利要求21所述的方法,还包括以下步骤:在纳米管生长在衬底上之后在600℃至1,800℃之间对表面膜热处理0.25至24小时。
23.如权利要求21所述的方法,其中碳纳米管的面积重量密度在2克/平方米至100克/平方米之间,其中其上生长有纳米管的衬底具有小于0.5欧姆/平方单位的表面电阻率。
24.一种复合飞机构件,包括:
a.聚合材料;
b.至少一个层,包括织造或非织造的衬底和生长在该衬底上的多个碳纳米管;和
c.其中所述衬底为所述聚合材料提供结构加固,并且其中碳纳米管为复合飞机构件的外表面提供雷击防护,
所述碳纳米管减小所述外表面的表面电阻。
25.如权利要求24所述的复合飞机构件,其中所述衬底和所述多个碳纳米管具有小于500克/平方米的组合面积重量密度。
26.如权利要求24所述的复合飞机构件,其中所述构件具有外部表面,所述层置于所述表面的至少0.5mm内。
27.一种纤维增强复合构件,包括树脂基体中的碳纤维,其中所述碳纤维具有大于至少6mm的长度并且包括生长在纤维上的碳纳米管,并且所述碳纳米管基本上均匀分布在纤维上并具有在1至100微米之间的长度,所述碳纳米管减小所述构件的表面电阻。
28.如权利要求27所述的纤维增强复合构件,其中所述构件具有外部表面并且所述碳纤维形成层,且所述层置于所述表面的至少0.5mm内。
29.如权利要求27所述的纤维增强复合构件,其中至少75%的所生长的碳纳米管接触另一所生长的碳纳米管或处于另一所生长的碳纳米管的5微米内。
30.一种飞机构件,具有外部表面并且包括置于所述外部表面上或靠近所述外部表面布置的防雷击表面膜,所述膜包括导电碳纳米管纤维的非织造的毡垫、面纱、稀洋纱或纸质衬底,所述纤维具有大于6mm的长度,所述碳纳米管减小所述表面膜的表面电阻。
