而且,扫描装置44可以可操作地连接到模具制造装置45,其可接收图像42的电子副本,并且可制成模具46(图3)。模具制造装置45可包括用于制成模具46的铣床或其他装置。更具体地,模具制造装置45可在模具46中形成对应于显示层24的升高区域36和凹入区域38的型腔47。模具46可由任何适当材料制成,例如金属、聚合物等。
如图3中所示,坯件48可施加到背景层28。如将讨论的,显示层24可通过成型坯件48来形成。在一些实施例中,坯件48可以是基本上矩形的实体材料件。另外,如图3中所示,坯件48可包含着色剂40,并且着色剂40可基本上均匀地分散在坯件48中。
而且,在图3中所示的一些实施例中,坯件48可放置在背景层28顶上而不固定到背景层28;但是,坯件48可附着到背景层28而不偏离本公开的范围。这可在背景层28结合到鞋12的其他部分之前或之后进行。而且,在设置在背景层28时,坯件48可处于室温。
于是,如图4中所示,模具46可压靠坯件48和背景层22,因此模具46使坯件48变形,并且使坯件48基本上充满型腔47(即挤压成型)。在一些实施例中,模具46可在压靠坯件48和背景层22之前,加热到高于室温,并且来自模具46的高热度和压力可使坯件48变形为型腔47的形状。应意识到,模具46的热度、由模具46施加的压力和其他制造变量可根据正被制造的各个显示装置11来调节。
而且,在一些实施例中,来自模具46的热度和压力可使着色剂40在坯件48中移动。例如,在一些实施例中,来自模具46的热和压力可使着色剂40集中在升高区域36中。这样,与凹入区域38相比较,着色剂40可在升高区域36中处于更高的浓度。因此,不同的着色剂40的浓度可使升高区域36与凹入区域38进一步形成对比。
在通过模具46变形之后,坯件48可固化(例如通过冷却、UV固化等),以再凝固,并且形成显示层24。固化也可使显示层24完全附着并且固定到背景层22,并且模具46可拔出。这样,显示层24(和图像26)可基本上在显示层24固定到背景层22上的同时形成。因此,可非常高效地以高生产量制造鞋12。
在其他实施例中,模具46可压靠背景层22,于是型腔47可被以材料填充,所述材料然后在型腔47内固化,以形成显示层24,并且将显示层24固定到背景层22。而且,在一些实施例中,模具46的型腔47被以材料填充,背景层22放置在型腔47上方,并且模具46中的材料在型腔47内固化,以形成显示层24,并且将显示层24固定到背景层22。
在其他实施例中,显示器24可与背景层22分开成形或铸造,随后将形成的显示层24固定到背景层22。
因而,鞋12可能由于由图像显示装置11显示的高细节度和独特的图像26在美观方面赏心悦目。图像显示装置11也可给鞋12提供独特的触觉品质。而且,图像显示装置11可以高效率的方式制造。
而且,鞋12可定制来包括定制图像26。例如,图像显示装置11可以是定制工艺中用户的一个选项。更具体地,用户可能通过将期望的图像42发送给鞋12的制造商来定制鞋12。制造商可然后制成用于制造模具46的图像42的电子副本,然后图像显示装置11可如上面所讨论地形成,并且包括在鞋12上。例如,该类型的系统可包括在由耐克公司(Nike,Inc.ofBeaverton,Oregon)提供的NIKEIDTM系统中。在其他实施例中,图像显示装置11可在相对短的时间段内,以零售装置形成,和/或附着到鞋10。

Claims (21)

1.一种图像显示装置,包括:
背景层,其为不透明的;和
显示层,其为半透明的,所述显示层包括面向所述背景层的内表面,所述内表面基本上是平滑的,所述显示层还包括背离所述背景层的外表面,所述外表面包括多个升高区域和多个凹入区域,所述显示层具有透过所述凹入区域的提高的光透射率,和透过所述升高区域的减小的光透射率,从而所述升高和凹入区域之间的光透射率的差异产成图像,
该多个升高区域和该多个凹入区域布置在与图像对应的预定位置处。
2.根据权利要求1所述的图像显示装置,其中,所述显示层和所述背景层为柔性的。
3.根据权利要求1所述的图像显示装置,其中,所述显示层至少部分为聚合物。
4.根据权利要求3所述的图像显示装置,其中,所述显示层包含聚氨酯材料。
5.根据权利要求1所述的图像显示装置,其中,所述显示层包含着色剂。
6.根据权利要求5所述的图像显示装置,其中,所述着色剂为染色剂和多个反射材料斑点中的至少一种。
7.根据权利要求5所述的图像显示装置,其中,与所述多个凹入区域相比较,所述着色剂在所述多个升高区域中具有较高的浓度。
8.根据权利要求1所述的图像显示装置,其中,所述内表面直接邻接所述背景层。
9.根据权利要求8所述的图像显示装置,其中,所述背景层包括外表面,所述显示层的所述内表面抵靠所述外表面,并且其中,所述背景层的所述外表面是基本上平滑的。
10.一种显示图像的方法,包括:
在显示层上产生图像,所述显示层包括基本上平滑的内表面,所述显示层还包括外表面,所述外表面包括多个升高区域和多个凹入区域,该多个升高区域和该多个凹入区域布置在与图像对应的预定位置处,所述显示层具有透过所述升高区域的提高的光透射率,和透过所述凹入区域的降低的光透视率,从而升高和凹入区域之间的光透射率的差异产生图像;和
将所述显示层操作地支撑在不透明的背景层上,从而所述内表面面向所述背景层,并且所述外表面背离所述背景层。
11.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中,产生所述图像和操作地支撑所述显示层基本上同时进行。
12.根据权利要求11所述的方法,还包括在模具和所述背景层之间引入坯件,将所述模具压靠所述坯件和所述背景层,以使所述坯件变形,并且形成多个升高和凹入区域,以及固化所述变形的坯件来将所述变形的坯件固定到所述背景层。
13.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中,产生所述图像包括铸造和热成型所述显示层中的一种。
14.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中,产生所述图像包括扫描所述图像来生成所述图像的电子副本,和从所述电子副本制成模具,以及使用所述模具形成多个升高和凹入区域。
15.根据权利要求10所述的方法,还包括在所述显示层中包含着色剂。
16.根据权利要求15所述的方法,还包括使所述着色剂集中在所述多个升高区域中,与所述多个凹入区域相比较,所述着色剂在所述多个升高区域中具有更高的浓度。
17.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中,所述显示层至少部分为聚合物。
18.根据权利要求10所述的方法,还包括将所述显示层固定到鞋类物件,所述鞋类物件包括所述背景层。
19.一种鞋类物件,包括:
鞋面,其包括柔性背景层,所述背景层为不透明的,所述背景层包括基本上平滑的外表面;和
柔性显示层,其固定到所述背景层的外表面,所述显示层为半透明的和聚合物的,所述显示层包括面向并且直接邻接所述背景层的所述外表面的内表面,所述内表面基本上是平滑的,所述显示层还包括背离所述背景层的外表面,所述显示层的所述外表面包括多个升高区域和多个凹入区域,所述显示层包含着色剂,与所述多个凹入区域相比较,所述着色剂在所述多个升高区域中具有更高的浓度,所述显示层具有透过所述凹入区域的提高的光透射率,和透过所述升高区域的降低的光透射率,从而所述升高和凹入区域之间的光透射率的差异产生图像,其中该多个升高区域和该多个凹入区域布置在与图像对应的预定位置处。
20.根据权利要求19所述的鞋类物件,其中,所述背景层一体连接到所述鞋面。
21.根据权利要求19所述的鞋类物件,其中,所述背景层布置在所述鞋面的侧镶片和鞋舌中的至少一个上。
