背景技术
存储设备制造商通常会测试所制造的存储设备是否符合一系列要求。存在串行或并行测试大量存储设备的测试设备和技术。制造商倾向于同时测试大量存储设备。存储设备测试系统通常包括一个或多个测试器支架,所述一个或多个测试器支架具有接纳要进行测试的存储设备的多个测试槽。在一些情况下,存储设备设置在托架中,所述托架用于将存储设备装载至测试支架和从测试支架卸载存储设备。

发明内容
总体上,本发明涉及接合测试槽以及相关的设备、系统、方法和装置。
在一个方面,测试槽与自动化机械接合以抑制测试槽的移动,从而抑制将振动从测试槽传输至其周围。当自动化机械与测试槽接合时,致动自动化机械以将存储设备插入测试槽内,或从测试槽移除存储设备。

具体实施方式
系统概览
如图1所示,存储设备测试系统10包括多个测试支架100(如,示出的10个测试支架)、转运站200和机器人300(有时称为“自动化输送器”)。如图2A和2B所示,各个测试支架100通常包括底座102。底座102可由多个结构构件104(如成形的金属片、挤出的铝、钢管材、和/或复合构件)来构造,所述多个结构构件104被紧固在一起并且共同限定多个托架容器106。
各个托架容器106均可支承测试槽托架110。如图3A和3B所示,各个测试槽托架110均支承多个测试槽组件120。测试槽托架110中的不同者可被构造为进行不同类型的测试和/或测试不同类型的存储设备。测试槽托架110彼此也可在测试系统10内的多个托架容器106中互换,由此允许基于测试需要来修改和/或定制测试系统10。

如图4所示,各个测试槽组件120包括存储设备输送器400、测试槽500、和相关的鼓风机组件700。存储设备输送器400可用于捕集存储设备600(如从转运站200)以及将存储设备600输送至测试槽500中的一个来进行测试。测试槽包括后部500B和前部500A。前部500A限定用于接纳存储设备输送器400中的一者的测试室526。后部500B携带连接接口板520,所述连接接口板520携带有连接接口电路182(图9)。

参见图9,在一些具体实施中,存储设备测试系统10还可包括至少一台与测试槽500连通的计算机130。计算机130可被构造为提供存储设备600的库存控制和/或提供用于控制存储设备测试系统10的自动化接口。测试电子器件160与各个测试槽500连通。测试电子器件160与设置在各个测试槽500内的连接接口电路182电气连通。这些连接接口电路182被设置为与接纳在相关的测试槽500内的存储设备600电气连通,并由此提供测试电子器件160与测试槽500内的存储设备600之间的连通(如)以便执行测试程序。测试程序可包括功能测试,所述功能测试可包括测试存储设备600接收的功率、工作温度、读写数据的能力以及在不同温度下读写数据的能力(例如在热的时候读取数据并在冷的时候写数据,或反之亦然)。功能测试可以测试存储设备600的每个存储扇区或仅随机采样测试。功能测试可以测试存储设备600的工作温度以及与存储设备600通信的数据完整性。
如图9所示,电力系统170为存储设备测试系统10供电。电力系统170可监控和/或调节对测试槽500中接纳的存储设备600的电力供应。
接合测试槽
如上所述,存储设备(如,存储设备600)在操作和测试期间易受震动和振动的影响。例如,将存储设备插入测试槽500或者从中移除存储设备时也可发生震动和振动事件。在测试期间,当周围的存储设备正在运行或正被测试时,频繁地将存储设备换成不同存储设备。在一些例子中,可能难以将存储设备插入测试槽500或从测试槽500移除存储设备,并且不使测试槽500的框架(如,框架502)撞击测试支架100的底座102(图2A和2B)。采用这种方式生成的冲击可形成传输至其他测试槽中的相邻存储设备的震动或振动事件,其会使测试支架100的隔离方案降级。这一问题可通过测试支架100的高密度而放大,因为测试槽可紧邻彼此设置以节省空间。
在一些例子中,紧贴设置在测试槽500中的一个或多个电连接元件推压存储设备600或使其脱离所述元件时可形成额外的震动或振动事件。为了使存储设备500与电连接元件配合或解除配合,必须对存储设备600施加某种程度的力(如,45牛顿)。该力可大于将存储设备600插入测试槽500内所需的力。
降低引起震动或振动事件的可能性的一种方式为使用精密自动化。如上所述,与人相比,在用适量的力精确插入或移除存储设备方面,自动化输送器(如,机器人300(图3))可更精确。然而,在一些例子中,测试槽500的位置可随负载以及随温度而变化,因为与测试槽500相连的隔离器会根据应力或随温度而改变形状。自动化输送器可由此需要增加相机、激光位置传感器等以感测框架的位置。这些传感器可减慢操作,并且可能仍不足,因为安装框架可沿三个线性方向和三个旋转方向移动,并且难以迅速有效地测量和补偿所有这些。
在一些例子中,机器人300的一部分可接合(如,抓取、夹住、缠紧、稳固、附连到等)测试槽500的框架以便减少因插入或移除存储设备而引起的震动和振动事件。通过紧紧抓住测试槽500,机器人300可相对于测试槽500推压或拉引存储设备而无需移动测试槽500。因此,对测试槽500施加的力会传输到机器人300,而不是底座102和相邻的存储设备。
测试槽500或机器人300的某些特征可让机器人300更容易或更有效地接合测试槽500。这些特征也可让机器人300与测试槽500大致对齐,并且随后在将测试槽500移至与机器人300精确对准时接合测试槽500。
图10A和10B示出了测试槽500的相对侧(为清楚起见,仅示出测试槽500的前部500A)。测试槽500包括其上安装有接合元件506、508和510的侧壁502、504。接合元件506、508和510被构造为协助机器人300在插入或移除存储设备之前、期间或之后暂时接合测试槽500。接合元件506、508和510被构造为接合位于与机器人300相连的致动器516、518(图11)上的对应接合元件512、514(图11)。在这个例子中,接合元件512、514为致动器516、518的表面513、515中的凹槽。

通过在将输送器400插入测试槽500之前夹持测试槽500,输送器400或存储设备600对测试槽500的框架的任何冲击将不会向底座102传输振动能量。相反,由于致动器516、518与测试槽500接合,因此任何震动或振动能量均会由致动器516、518、机械手312和机器人300吸收。如果机器人300、机械手312和致动器516、518与测试支架100机械地隔离,则不会将该能量输送至测试支架100或在其中测试的其他存储设备。
可使用类似技术从测试槽500移除输送器400和/或存储设备600。在那种情况下,机器人300首先将测试槽500与致动器516、518接合以使测试槽500稳固。一旦致动器516、518成功接合测试槽500,机械手312就可开始从测试槽500移除输送器400和/或存储设备600(如,机械手可开始接合输送器400,或者可开始移除机械手312已经与之通过接口连接的输送器400)。
