在图3所示的示例中,语义挖掘模块302向视频观看环境传感器检测到的各种行为和其他表达数据(例如,生理数据)分配各情绪标识。语义挖掘模块302还根据与广告同步的时间序列来对观众情绪表达进行索引,例如按在广告内发生的各事件、场景、以及动作的时间。在图3所示的示例中,在广告的时间索引1处,语义挖掘模块302基于生理数据(例如,心率数据)和人类感情显示数据(例如,身体语言分数)来记录观众是厌烦且分心的。在稍后的时间索引2,观众情绪反应简档304指示观众很愉快并且对广告感兴趣,而在时间索引3,观众很恐惧但她的注意力专注于该广告。
在一些实施例中,情绪反应简档302可以包括观众对广告的注意力的记录。由于记录了,视频内容传递链中的各种实体(例如视频内容创建者和提供者、广告内容创建者和提供者等等)可以个别地参考观众的注意力,或者结合多个其它观众的注意力评估作为广告的效力的反馈。
在一些实施例中,观众注意力可以被用于在两个或更多这样的实体之间改变广告的支出值。例如,如果第一观众对特定广告的注意力如在该观众的对该广告的情绪反应简档302所记录那样是相对地高于第二观众对同一广告的注意力,从广告商给视频内容提供者和/或广告内容创建者的支出在第一实例中就可能比在第二实例中相对地更高。因此,可以使用来自观众对广告的情绪反应来确定给广告投放的价格,但这不需要请求来自观众的反馈。而且,由于可以相对于基于其它观众对特定广告的反应所确定的价格来确定该广告的广告投放的价格,所以,就能以相对于将注意力排除在估价之外的现有的模型来说更加有效地确定广告投放的价值。
在一些实施例中,语义挖掘模块302可被配置成区分观众对广告的情绪反应和观众的一般性情。例如,在一些实施例中,语义挖掘模块302可忽略(或可报告观众在期间分心)在观众的注意力没有集中于显示设备时检测到的那些人类感情显示。这样,作为示例场景,如果观众因为源于视频观看环境外部的喧闹噪音而可视地被惹恼,则语义挖掘模块302可被配置成不将检测到的恼怒归咎于广告,并且可不将该恼怒记录在观众对该广告的情绪反应简档内的该时间位置处。在其中图像传感器被包括作为视频观看环境传感器的实施例中,合适的眼睛跟踪和/或脸部位置跟踪技术可被采用(可能结合视频观看环境的深度图)以确定观众的注意力集中于显示设备和/或广告上的程度。图3在306处还以图形形式示出广告的情绪反应简档304。情绪反应简档可按这样的形式向例如寻求理解观众对该广告的反应的广告客户显示。
观众对广告的情绪反应简档304可被分析以确定引起观众的积极或消极反应的各类型的场景/对象/发生的事情。例如,在图3所示的示例中,广告信息(包括场景描述)与传感器数据和观众的情绪反应相关。这样的分析的结果随后可被收集在广告兴趣简档308中。广告兴趣简档308将观众对广告的喜好和厌恶编成目录,如根据观众对过去媒体体验的情绪反应所判断的。广告兴趣简档可从多个情绪反应简档中生成,其中广告中描绘的对象、设置以及其他图像被链接到检测到的情绪状态。在观众观看更多广告时,观众的广告兴趣简档可被更改以反映观众的改变的喜好和兴趣,如在观众对最近观看的广告的情绪反应中表达的。
而且,观众广告兴趣简档可以包括关于观众个人兴趣(例如习惯)、观看兴趣(例如视频历史和偏好)、因特网浏览兴趣以及改变观众的人口统计信息(例如年龄、性别、位置、职业等)的程度的信息。
通过对观众所观看的其他广告执行这样的分析,如在图3的310处所示,然后确定引起类似情绪反应的不同内容项的各部分之间的相似度,观众的潜在的喜好和厌恶可被确定并随后可被用来确定广告建议以供将来观看。例如,图3示出了对观众来说相比产品A和C更偏好产品B,并且相比位置类型A更偏好位置类型B。
转回到图2A,方法200包括,在212,对于多个广告,接收来自多个观众的每个观众的情绪反应简档。一旦接收到,情绪反应可被分析和/或被存储以供稍后分析,如下所述。

此外,在一些实施例中,已聚集的情绪反应简档314可被图形化地呈现(例如,作为直方图或作为热图),从而将情绪刺激的相对程度和/或类型作为广告内的时间位置的函数来描绘。这样的图形描绘可帮助广告内容创建者在任何合适的粒度水平上(例如,通过按照社交、人口统计、以及其他合适的准则来过滤情绪反应)标识广告的对一组观众而言在情绪上有刺激和/或其感兴趣的部分。以此方式,一大组观众对广告的情绪反应可被分类并过滤以针对较窄子组的观众来标识广告的在情绪上重要的方面。
在一些实施例中,可以基于该广告将其作为目标的观众(例如“目标观众”)的情绪状态来进一步选择一个特定的广告。这样,回到图2A,方法200包括,在216,从视频观看环境传感器收集目标观众情绪状态的传感器数据,并在218,将传感器数据发送给媒体计算设备,所述媒体计算设备接收了传感器数据。在图2A示出的示例中,在目标观众视频观看环境传感器处发生传感器数据收集,并被发送给目标观众的媒体计算设备。然而,可以理解,本示例不是限制性的,并且任意合适的视频观看环境传感器都可以收集目标观众的人类影响显示的数据并将其传送给任意合适的计算设备(例如媒体计算设备和/或服务器计算设备)以供处理。

转向图2B,方法200包括,在226,为目标观众标识一组潜在的确实相关的观众。如上所述,由与目标观众社交上联系和/或人口统计上类似的人们所推荐的品牌可以包括目标观众倾向于相信的品牌。因此,分析与目标观众社交上相关联的人们对各种广告的情绪反应可以指示目标观众可能喜欢观看哪些广告。
在一些实施例中,潜在的确实相关的观众可能对应于属于目标观众的社交网络的观众。这样,226可以包括,在228,标识目标观众的社交网络。可以理解,社交网络可以是具有与目标观众的社交联系的人的任何合适的集合,从而目标观众的兴趣可能与各网络成员的总体兴趣特别相关。这样的网络可以是用户定义的或由用户之间的共同特征来自动定义的(例如,校友关系)。附加地或可替换地,在一些实施例中,潜在的确实相关的观众可能对应于属于所述目标观众所属于的人口统计分组的观众。可以明白,可以基于任意合适的特征来定义人口统计分组,所述特征导致在分组成员之间比在所有用户之间更加高度相关的兴趣。
在230,方法200包括过滤多个广告的已聚集的情绪反应简档以定位从潜在的确实相关的观众的分组中接收到的那些简档。基于目标观众社交网络过滤已聚集的情绪反应简档可以帮助选择目标观众的亲密社交联系和/或其它人口统计上类似的用户被先前发现的感兴趣的商品和服务的广告,并且因而这些广告可能也是目标观众感兴趣的。
在232,方法200包括基于经过滤的已聚集的情绪反应简档来从多个广告中选择一个特定的广告以供呈现。例如,可以使用该广告的经过滤的已聚集的情绪反应简档以基于该组潜在的确实相关的观众对该广告在整体上的情绪反应的量级来做出广告选择决策。如果情绪反应量级超过预选的阈值,则可以选择该广告以向目标观众显示。
另外地或可替换地,这样的广告选择决策可基于这些广告的与相对更高量级的情绪反应相关联的各方面(例如,主题、产品、位置、概念,等等)来做出。例如,如果一组观众的已聚集的情绪反应简档示出对描绘强烈的户外娱乐的广告的相对较高的情绪反应,则可以选择其它产品的类似广告来进一步向目标观众显示。
如上所述,在一些实施例中,广告选择决策可以部分基于目标观众的当前情绪状态。这样,232可以包括,在234,基于目标观众的情绪状态和经过滤的已聚集的情绪反应简档的相关性来选择一个特定的广告以供呈现。例如,如果目标观众注意力是恍惚的,则可以如从目标观众的广告兴趣、社交网络和/或人口统计分组中所判断的那样来选择目标观众可能感兴趣的产品的广告。或者,如果目标观众的注意力已经被吸引,则可以选择相比较而言更加精细和/或有细微差别的广告。在另一个示例中,如果传感器数据指示目标观众是焦虑的,则可以选择抚慰的广告以期望使得目标观众的潜在愿望达到慰藉。可以以任意合适的方式来确定目标观众的情绪状态,包括但不限于如上所述的语义挖掘方案。
在一些实施例中,关于目标观众的情绪状态以及经过滤的、已聚集的情绪反应简档的信息可以被用于从特定品牌的广告活动中的一系列广告中选择一个特定的广告。例如,可以基于目标观众和一组与目标观众通过活动在社交上相关的其它观众的相对进展以及在目标观众对活动的情绪反应和该组其它观众的反应之间的关系来做出关于目标观众是否准备好被呈现来自广告活动的不同阶段的广告的决策。因此,所述活动可以针对目标观众的投放频率以及情绪反应水平来个性化。例如,如果确定了目标观众的兴趣正逐渐减弱,则可以修改投放频率和/或广告的选择。
可以通过随时间跟踪传递给目标观众的广告的各种方面并通过基于这些被跟踪的方面中的一个或多个方面上的特定广告的选择为基础来管理这样的活动。例如,在一些实施例中,可以随时间跟踪目标观众被呈现和/或观看一个或多个广告的频率。跟踪广告展示以及在一些情况下(例如通过目标观众的情绪表达、通过点进响应等)目标观众注意到的广告的投放或可检测地被吸引的广告的部分可以向广告客户和内容提供商提供期望的信息。
这样,过程232可以包括,在236,选择特定的广告,以便该特定广告的各个目标观众的频率匹配预选的该特定广告的观看频率。预先的观看频率可以是要显示所述广告的任意合适的频率。可以明白,预选频率随广告活动的过程可以改变,并且可以基于一个或多个因素(例如广告活动内的位置、日期时间、观看频道、随广告一起发送的视频内容的类型和/或身份等等)来修改。
另外地或可替换地,在一些实施例中,可以随时间跟踪在其中目标观众观看广告的上下文。“目标观众的上下文”描述了在其中将广告示出给所述目标观众的环境。目标观众上下文的非限制性示例包括随广告呈现的视频内容的视频内容身份、广告出现在视频内容中的广告插入时隙(ad break slot)以及广告出现在广告插入时隙内的广告位置。在一些这样的实施例中,232可以包括,在238,基于目标观众上下文来选择特定的广告。
可以明白,可以通过使用诸如由目标观众提供的搜索术语和/或兴趣之类的观众提供的过滤器来实现进一步的个性化。例如,在一些实施例中,广告的选择还可以基于目标观众广告兴趣简档(例如,如图3所示的广告兴趣简档308)。而且,可以跟踪对非广告视频内容的情绪反应以确定观众的兴趣。
可以明白,正如同可以通过依据目标观众的情绪状态来选择特定广告来管理包括与整体品牌概念相关的几个广告的广告活动那样,个别的广告也可以针对目标观众被相类似地定制。例如,广告的第一部分可以被提供给目标观众,并且可以监视目标观众的情绪反应。作为响应,可以基于对第一部分的情绪反应选择该广告的一个或多个第二部分以向目标观众呈现。这样,如果判断目标观众的情绪表达是喜欢在第一部分广告的开放场景中表演的戏剧性的山景,则可以选择包括附加的崎岖的山脉景色的第二部分,而不是包括动态办公环境的替换的第二部分。这样,在一些实施例中,232可以包括,在244,选择要发送给目标观众的特定广告的第一部分。

在254,方法200包括生成目标观众对特定广告的情绪反应简档。如果目标观众已经具有了对该特定广告的情绪反应简档(例如,因为目标观众之前已经看过该广告),现有的简档可以被覆盖或作为新实例保存(例如与不同于先前上下文数据的新上下文数据一起保存)。可以明白,可以以任意合适的方式来执行情绪反应简档的生成,包括如上所述的语义挖掘方案。在256,方法200包括将情绪反应简档发送给服务器计算设备用于进一步处理。
对特定广告的目标观众情绪反应可以被用于调整将来广告选择的选择标准。这样,在258,方法200包括用对该特定广告的目标观众的情绪反应来更新已聚集的情绪反应简档。用对该特定广告的目标观众的情绪反应简档来更新该广告的已聚集的情绪反应简档可以有助于保持与观众当前兴趣相符合的广告选择。
可以调整选择标准的另一种方式包括改变该组潜在的确实相关的观众的成员。例如,对于特定广告的目标观众的情绪反应和通过潜在的确实相关的观众所过滤的已聚集的情绪反应简档之间的差异(超过可接受的容忍度),可以指示对该组潜在的确实相关的观众的成员进行细化,可以相比较而言地增强目标观众的广告选择的定制。
这样,在260,方法200包括基于目标观众对特定广告的情绪反应与该组已聚集的情绪反应简档中的情绪反应简档的相关性程度来更新该组潜在的确实相关的观众的全体成员()。在一些实施例中,可以将具有不同的但相关的广告兴趣简档的新成员加入以引入对该组潜在的确实相关的观众的改变。另外地或可替换地,在一些实施例中,当目标观众广告兴趣简档偏离现有成员时可以从该组中退出这些成员。
目标观众对特定广告的情绪反应可以单独地或与上述的一个或多个示例的选择标准的修改相结合地被用于提供附加广告内容给目标观众。
作为一个示例,在使用目标观众对特定广告的第一部分的情绪反应的实施例中,在显示广告期间,为了选择广告的第二部分,方法200可以包括,在262,基于目标观众对特定广告的第一部分的情绪反应来选择特定广告的第二部分,并且,在264,将特定广告的该第二部分发送给另一个计算设备以输出以向目标观众显示。在这样的实施例的266处,方法200包括输出特定广告的第二部分以供显示。

Claims (10)
1.在一个计算设备上,一种选择广告以向目标观众显示的方法,所述方法包括:
对于多个广告的每个广告,聚集来自该广告所对应的多个先前观众处的多个情绪反应简档,以生成该广告的已聚集的情绪反应简档,其中每个情绪反应简档包括:在由先前观众观看该广告时,所述先前观众对该广告的情绪反应的时间记录;
标识所述目标观众的一组潜在的确实相关的观众;
基于该组潜在的确实相关的观众来过滤所述多个广告的所述已聚集的情绪反应简档;
基于经过滤的已聚集的情绪反应简档来从所述多个广告中选择一个特定的广告以供呈现;
发送所述特定的广告以向所述目标观众显示。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括跟踪所述目标观众观看所述多个广告的目标观众频率,其中,选择所述特定的广告包括选择所述特定的广告以使得所述特定广告的各自目标观众频率与所述特定广告的预选观看频率相匹配。

跟踪在所述目标观众观看所述多个广告期间所述目标观众的上下文;以及

基于要从视频内容递送链中的一个实体向所述视频内容递送链中的另一个实体付出的注意力来确定支付值。
7.如权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:根据所述目标观众对所述特定广告的情绪反应和所述已聚集的情绪反应简档的相关性来更新该组潜在的确实相关的观众的全体成员。
8.如权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:基于所述目标观众对所述特定广告的情绪反应选择第二广告,并发送所述第二广告以输出来向所述目标观众显示。
9.如权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,其中选择所述特定的广告包括选择所述特定广告的第一部分,
其中发送所述特定广告以供显示包括发送所述特定广告的所述第一部分以显示给所述目标观众;以及
其中接收所述目标观众对所述特定广告的情绪反应的输入包括接收所述目标观众对所述特定广告的第一部分的情绪反应的输入,并且其中,所述方法还包括:
基于所述目标观众对所述特定广告的第一部分的情绪反应和经过滤的已聚集的情绪反应简档的相关性来选择所述特定广告的第二部分;以及
发送所述特定广告的第二部分以输出来向所述目标观众显示。
10.一种用于向目标观众传递所选广告的服务器系统,所述系统包括:
逻辑子系统;以及
保持指令的数据保持子系统,所述指令可由所述逻辑子系统执行以:
对于多个广告的每个广告,聚集来自该广告所对应的多个先前观众处的多个情绪反应简档,以生成该广告的已聚集的情绪反应简档,其中每个情绪反应简档包括:在由先前观众观看该广告时,所述先前观众对该广告的情绪反应的时间记录;
基于所述目标观众所属的社交网络来过滤所述多个广告的所述已聚集的情绪反应简档;
接收所述目标观众的情绪状态;
基于所述目标观众的所述情绪状态和经过滤的已聚集的情绪反应简档来从所述多个广告中选择第一广告以供呈现;
发送所述第一广告以向所述目标观众显示;
接收所述目标观众对所述第一广告的情绪反应;以及
基于所述目标观众对所述第一广告的情绪反应选择第二广告,并发送所述第二广告以向所述目标观众显示。
