Abstract

Description

包含模件式插座和发光二极 管的组合件
本发明涉及电连接,更具体地讲,涉及包含显示接头状态的指示装置的电连接。
在现有技术中有各种指示电接头状态的方法。连接器中可应用发光二极管(LED)来显示它已与其配对部件啮合、已向接头提供信号、或接头可以使用。在连接器上应用LED的一个缺陷是应用LED可能造成干扰供给接头信号的所不希望的有害噪声量。
因此,需要有一种模件式插座,它可以采用LED,但不会从该LED接受有害量的噪声。
本发明是一种组合件,它包括一块具有相对的第一和第二平面表面的印刷电路板(PCB)。至少一个诸如LED的发光装置固定至所述PCB上。插座固定至PCB所述平面表面之一上。此插座包括一个绝缘壳体,该壳体包括第一和第二轴向壁,所述第二轴向壁平行相间地位于所述第一轴向壁之上,至少有一对侧壁插入第一和第二轴向壁之间,以至少构成一个从所述插座的基本开口的前侧面伸展至所述插座后侧面的横向插头接受腔。光线引导装置最好为光线衍射装置,配置在邻近插座前侧。

参照图1-2,图中模件式插座总体用数字10表示。此模件式插座具有一个绝缘壳体,它包括顶壁12、底壁14、侧壁16和18、前侧面20和后侧面22。从开口的前侧面20起有一个插头接受腔24,可与插座接合,如美国专利5456619所示的那样,插入插头该专利的内容已引作参考。在顶壁上有若干如凹槽26和28的导体接受凹槽,它们接受诸如电线30和32的导体。这些电线平行于后侧面向上伸展,然后在顶壁的凹槽中水平地伸展,接着从顶壁的前部向下、向后进入腔24中。模件式插座还包括金属屏蔽板34和如销钉36和38的安装销钉。在金属屏蔽板34上还有一个附加的、向下伸展的金属安装突起40,在侧壁18中有一个相邻腔42。在侧壁16中有另一相似的腔(未表示)。在这些腔的前方相应有用粘接、热焊或任何其它本技术普通技术人员熟知的方法固定至壳体上的透镜44和46。LED 48和LED 50安装在PCB 52上。此PCB还包括常规的金属的中间屏蔽板53。如图2所示,LED 50安装在腔42中。从LED 50发出的光线被透镜46所折射,这样,用户就可获知插座的状态信息。同样,从LED 48发出的光线则通过透镜44折射。在PCB上设置了适当的电路以使LED 48和/或50在某些状态条件下发光。

参照图6-8,这是模件式插座的又一最佳实施例,总体用数字210表示。此模件式插座具有一个绝缘外壳,它包括顶壁212、底壁214、侧壁216和218、前侧面220和后侧面222。从开口的前侧面220起有若干诸如插头接受腔224的插头接受腔,插入插头在腔中与插座接合。于屏蔽板之下,在顶壁上有若干接受诸如电线230和232导体的导体接受凹槽(未表示)。这些电线平行于后侧面向上伸展,然后在顶壁的凹槽中水平地伸展,接着从顶部的前部向下、向后伸展进入腔224中。模件式插座还包括一块金属屏蔽板234和如销钉226和228的安装销钉。还有一个附加的、向下伸展的屏蔽板安装突起240,以及在侧壁128中的相邻腔242。在侧壁216以及在其余每一侧壁中都有另外相似的腔(未表示)。在这些腔的前方分别有固定在壳体上的透镜244和246。LED250安装在PCB 252的底表面上。如图8具体所示,LED250安装在腔242中。此PCB还包括一块常规的金属的中间屏蔽平板253。从LED 250发出的光线被透镜246所折射或引导,这样,用户就可获悉插座的状态情况。还将看到,分片透镜246叠置在面板254上,而在插座之上为另外的面板部分256。
参照图9-11,这是模件式插座的又一最佳实施例,总体用数字310表示。此模件式插座具有一个绝缘外壳,它包括顶壁312、底壁314、侧壁316和318、前侧面320和后侧面322。从开口的前侧面320起有插头接受腔324,插入插头则与腔中插座接合。屏蔽板之下,在顶壁上有若干接受诸如电线330和332导体的导体接受凹槽(未表示)。这些电线平行于后侧面向上伸展,然后在顶壁的凹槽中水平地伸展,再从顶部的前部向下、向后伸展进入腔324中。模件式插座还包括一块金属屏蔽板334和如销钉326和328的安装销钉。面板部分354和356放置在插座之下和之上,而如透镜344和346的透镜则安装在下面板部分354的孔中。LED 350安装在PCB 352的底表面上。如图11具体所示,透镜346悬挂在PCB 352上。从LED 350发出的光线被透镜346折射或引导,从而用户可获悉插座的状态。
参照图12,模件式插座总体用数字410表示。此模件式插座具有一个绝缘壳,它包括顶壁412、底壁414、侧壁416和418、前侧面420和后侧面422。从开口的前侧面420起有插头接受腔424,在腔中可与插座接合。于屏蔽板434之下,在顶壁上有若干接受诸如电线430和432导体的导体接受凹槽(未表示)。这些电线平行于后侧后向上伸展,然后在顶壁的凹槽中水平地伸展,再从顶部的前部向下、向后延伸进入腔424中。诸如LED 450的LED安装在PCB 452上。此PCB还包括一块常规的金属屏蔽板(未表示)。LED与诸如光导管458的光导管相接,光导管向上,然后水平地伸展以与面板436中的孔,如孔460接合。
据此可知,所述插座利用LED,由于它是安装在PCB上而不是与插座本身制成一体的,因此馈给LED的信号离馈给接头的那些信号相当远,从而与接头信号的相互干扰也要相当小。
虽然本发明是结合各种形状的最佳实施例加以说明的,但应理解,其它相似的实施例也可采用,或者只要不与其偏离,对所述实施例可进行修正和补充以实现本发明相同的功能。因而,本发明并不局限于任何单一实施例,而是应根据所附权利要求陈述的幅度和范围加以解释。

Claims (20)

1.一种组合件,其特征在于:它包括:
(a)一块具有相对的第一和第二平面表面的印刷电路板(PCB);
(b)一个固定至所述PCB上的发光装置;
(c)一个固定至PCB所述平面表面之一上的、并包括一个绝缘壳体的插座,该壳体包括第一和第二轴向壁,且所述第二轴向壁平行、间隔地配置在所述第一轴向壁之上,且至少有一对侧壁插入第一和第二轴向壁之间,从而至少构成一个从所述插座的基本开口的前侧面伸展至所述插座后侧面的横向插头接受腔;以及
(d)配置在邻近插座前侧的光线引导装置。
2.如权利要求1所述的组合件,其中光线引导装置是一个光线衍射装置。
3.如权利要求2所述的组合件,其中光线衍射装置是一个透镜。
4.如权利要求1所述的组合件,其中光线引导装置是一个光导管。
5.如权利要求1所述的组合件,其中,有一腔介于插座的第一轴向壁和邻近插座前侧面的PCB的第一表面之间。
6.如权利要求10所述的组合件,其中插座叠置在发光装置之上。
7.如权利要求11所述的组合件,其中发光装置是固定在PCB的第一侧面上的。
8.如权利要求7所述的组合件,其中位于插座和PCB之间的腔具有一个前面,而衍射装置覆盖所述腔的前端部。
9.如权利要求5所述的组合件,其中发光装置固定在PCB的第二侧面上,而光导管则连接发光装置及位于插座和PCB之间的腔。
10.如权利要求9所述的组合件,其中位于插座和PCB之间的腔具有前侧面,而光线衍射装置位于所述腔的所述前侧面上。
11.如权利要求5所述的组合件,其中发光装置固定在PCB的第二侧面上,位于插座和PCB之间的腔具有前侧面,光线引导装置则位于所述腔的所述前侧面上。
12.如权利要求1所述的组合件,其中发光装置固定在板的第二侧面上,插座的前侧面叠置于面板之上,而在所述面板上有孔,光线引导装置则设置在所述孔中。
13.如权利要求1所述的组合件,其中发光装置设置在PCB的第一表面上,面板叠置于插座的前侧面之上,面板上有孔,光线引导装置在发光装置和孔之间延伸。
14.一种包括绝缘壳体的插座,该壳体包括第一和第二轴向壁,且所述第二轴向壁有间距、平行地位于所述第一轴向壁之上,在第一和第二轴向壁之间至少插入一对侧壁以至少构成一个从所述插座的基本开口的前侧面伸展至所述插座后侧面的横向插头接受腔,在所述第一轴向壁中构成有第二小腔,此小腔适用安放发光装置,并具有前端部,而所述前端部至少部分被光线引导装置所覆盖。
15.如权利要求14所述的插座,其中发光装置是发光二极管(LED)。
16.如权利要求14所述的插座,其中光线引导装置是光线衍射装置。
17.一种组合件,其特征在于:它包括:
(a)一个固定至印刷电路板(PCB)相对两平面表面之一上的、且包括一个绝缘壳体的插座,该壳体包括第一和第二轴向壁,且所述第二轴向壁有间距、平行地配置在所述第一轴向壁之上,在第一和第二轴向壁之间至少插入设置一对侧壁以至少构成一个从所述插座的基本开口的前侧面延伸至所述插座的后侧面的横向插头接受腔。
(b)相对插座向后有一定间距设置的发光装置;
(c)从发光装置向插座前侧面延伸的光线引导装置。
18.如权利要求16所述的组合件,其中发光装置是发光二极管(LED)。
19.如权利要求16所述的组合件,其中光线引导装置是光导管。
20.如权利要求16所述的组合件,其中插座邻近具有主开口和小孔的面板设置,插头接受腔总是与所述面板的主开口对准,而光线引导装置则通过面板中所述小孔延伸。
