发明领域
本发明涉及一次性吸湿制品，具体地涉及到包含多层吸湿件的卫生巾。更确切地说，本发明涉及沿X-Y平面具有改进了芯吸本领的吸湿芯。
发明背景
一般，一次性吸湿制品的结构包括位于透液罩和不透液阻挡层之间的吸湿芯。罩料一般设计成可使体排出物渗过它而让吸湿芯能将该液体吸收。阻挡层料一般是不透液的，并位于远离身体处。这里用到的术语“吸湿制品”是指这样的产品，如尿布、卫生巾、训练短裤、失禁衣着、过夜垫、短裤衬里、腋下屏挡，以及医用的其他吸湿装置，如外科用吸湿件。这类制品是设计成用来吸收体液如尿、月经、血、汗和由身体排出的其他排泄物。为便于说明但也仅仅是用于说明目的，这里所述的实施例将取卫生巾形式，卫生巾也称作为月经垫、女用垫、过夜垫、短裤衬里以及其他为妇女在经期前后这段时间内穿着用来吸收月经和排出的体液的内裤屏挡。这类制品是外部装置，它们通常用衣着粘合剂或机械式连接件保持就位并与相邻的内衣连接。
在吸湿制品成形中的一个老问题是，体排出物通常引向到吸湿垫的一部分，而吸湿能力则分布到一较大的区域上。在由多层纤维素料制备的传统卫生巾中，当木浆绒或类似的纤维素料吸收体液时，毛细管壁常倾向朝内塌缩。这种塌缩阻碍了体液向下导引，而且显著地削弱了纤维素料的固有弹性。
上述结果使得早期就会出现失效问题，这是由于要被吸收的液体不能有效地布散到整个吸湿料件上所致。要是液体不能布散到整个吸湿件上，它就会从饱和区的边缘漏出。
有关的一个问题是，在毛细管塌缩后，通常本应向下导引的流体会滞留于卫生巾的顶面上或其附近。这就会产生所谓再润湿现象，即液体被解吸而与使用者接触，或导致液体透过罩料而形成湿润的不舒适的卫生巾表面。
现下已发明了这样的吸湿制品，它所采用的吸湿件特别是对于血经具有很高的芯吸能力，并能在卫生巾的吸湿能力已被安全利用后能向使用者提供已用完的视觉信号。
发明概述
本发明主要涉及吸湿制品如尿布、训练短裤、失禁衣着、过夜垫、内裤衬里、腋下屏挡和卫生巾。仅出于方便说明的目的，把最佳实施例作为设计成在行经期间来吸收月经和其他排出物的卫生巾进行描述。为此，本发明的吸湿制品包括的吸湿芯具有主吸湿件和副吸湿件。副吸湿件叠层到至少一部分主吸湿件上，并可以定位成与主吸湿件面对面关系。副吸湿件包括显著量的不吸湿聚合物组分，其通常是热塑塑料。主吸湿件是无皱折的全干燥的毛巾，其沿X-Y方向具有的液体分配率比副吸湿件的大1.8倍。液体分配率表示为吸湿芯污损预定量5分钟后主吸湿件中的污染区对副吸湿件的污染区之比。
本发明的总的目的是提供用于吸收体液如尿、月经、血等的吸湿制品。本发明更具体的目的在于提供具有至少两种吸湿件的吸湿制品，其中的主吸湿件沿X-Y平面具有较第一吸湿层更大的芯吸率。
本发明的另一目的在于提供这样的吸湿制品，它具有两个相分开的不同的吸湿件，其中的副吸湿件包括一个或多个低密度区例如孔口，可以由目视检查主吸湿件。
至于本发明的其他目的和优点，内行的人士在通过阅读下面的描述和附图后将会获得进一步的理解。

最佳实施例的详细描述
参看图1，其中以卫生巾形式所示的吸湿制品10可以为女性穿着，用来在行经期间吸收体液如月经、血、尿以及其他的排出物。吸湿制品的长度可为约150-约300mm而宽度约50-150mm。卫生巾10呈卵形。其他的形状包括砂漏形、哑铃形和跑道形都在本发明设想的范围内。在最佳实施例中，吸湿制品10的厚度可小于15mm，更好小于约10mm，而最好小于约5mm。
吸湿芯10包括透液的体侧罩12、不透液的挡层14、位于罩12和挡层14之间的吸湿芯16。透液罩12设计成用来与使用者的身体接触，可以由织造或非织造的、天然或合成的易为体液渗透的材料制成。合适的材料包括聚酯、聚丙烯、聚乙烯、尼龙或其他可粘合纤维的粘合的粗梳织物。其他的聚烯烃类如聚丙烯和聚乙烯的共聚物、线型低密度聚乙烯、细孔膜的织物和网状织物也都能用于此目的。特别理想的是聚合物和非织造材料的复合料。为便于体液流入吸湿芯16，罩12可以包含有孔(未示明)。这种孔必要时可沿纵中央轴线X-X排列，用来加速体液向下渗入吸湿芯16的速率。当存在有孔时，沉积在或靠近孔的体液能快速迁移入吸湿芯16。这样与无孔可利用的情形相比有助于保持可感知的较干燥的表面，虽然这些孔并非是必不可少的，但使用它们可取得某些功能上的优点。
透液罩12也可用表面活性剂处理，以使其更具有亲水性而有助于液体的吸收。这种活性剂可以包括典型的添加剂或外加材料如聚硅氧烷。
不透液挡件14设计成位于远离罩12且一般地面向内裤(未示明)的裆部的内表面。挡件14允许空气或蒸汽通过卫生巾10而阻止体液通过。挡件14可以由微凸凹的聚乙烯或聚丙烯的聚合物膜或是双组份膜形成。较理想的材料是厚0.025-约0.15mm的聚乙烯膜。
如图所示，透液罩12、不透液挡件14和吸湿芯16是共同延伸的。或者，罩12和挡件14可以相结合地围住吸湿芯16。罩12和挡件14在它们面对面接触的区域中可以用任何适当的不留下刺激使用者的硬的不舒适的残余物的方法进行粘合。典型的密封方法包括热密封、粘合剂密封和超声粘合，沿着一条从吸湿芯16的边缘向外的线，形成一种材料的缘饰。结果便形成了一条整齐的粘合线，与热密封相比，较少有可能使材料穿孔。
吸湿芯16包括主吸湿件18和副吸湿件20。主吸湿件18和副吸湿件20可以以基本上平行和共延伸地准直方式结合到一起，使此主吸湿件18的主面与副吸湿件20的主面紧密接触，由此允许主吸湿件18和副吸湿件20液体连通。主吸湿件18沿X-Y方向的液体分配速率一般要比副吸湿件20的快约1.8倍，较好的是主吸湿件18的液体分配速率比副吸湿件20的快约2倍。而更好是主吸湿件18的液体分配速率比副吸湿件20的快约3倍。液体分配速率表示为在给定量的试验液一般是牛血污染吸湿芯16五分钟后，主吸湿件18的污染区对副吸湿件20的污染区之比。
主吸湿件18是不皱折的全干燥的毛巾(UCTAD)，基重为约30-约120克/米2。一般，本发明的主吸湿件是根据1991年9月17日授予Crook等的美国专利NO.5048589、1995年3月21日授予Sudall等的美国专利No.5399412、1995年5月23日提交的美国专利No.08/447578中公开的方法制备的，这几项专利已共同转让给Kimberly-clarkCorporation，它们每个所公开的全部内容已综合于此并构成了本申请的一部分。此方法一般包括下述步骤：形成纤维素纤维、水和化学去粘剂的配料；将此配料置放于行进中的成形带上，由此在行进的带的上面形成纤维织物；使此纤维织物经不加压干燥处理以从中除去水份，从此行进的成形带上取下干燥的纤维织物。包括此主吸湿件18的不皱折的全干燥的薄绢具有高水平的吸湿本领、吸湿率、强度与柔软性。在最佳实施例中，主吸湿件18具有的干燥抗拉强度小于约11000克、更好是小于约6000克、最好是小于约2200克。在一特别最佳的实施例中，主吸湿件18是不皱折的全干燥的毛巾，具有湿对干的抗拉强度比大于约0.1。上述湿/干比不过是湿抗拉强度除以干抗拉强度的结果。它可以用机器方向(MD)抗拉强度、横截机器方向(CD)抗拉强度或几何平均抗拉强度表示。
主吸湿件18可以有凹凸或带孔(未示明)以减小UCTAD毛巾的硬挺度、使主吸湿件18凹凸或带孔的方法是本技术中周知的。当主吸湿件18有许多孔时，孔直径不应超过2mm，因为那会影响到主吸湿件18吸收体液的本领或是影响到能有效地利用主吸湿件18的吸湿本领的能力。较好是上述孔直径应小于1mm而更好是小于约0.5mm。除了孔直径外，重要的是这些孔的总的开口面积不得超过主吸湿件18的朝向罩12设置的表面积的40％。这种孔还可以采用其他的构型如方形、矩形、三角形等。
副吸湿件20是熔喷纤维和短切纤维的一般称之为共形的混合物。制造这种共形混合物的方法基本上包括；通过模头将熔融非吸湿性聚合物料挤压成细的流束，并由喷嘴供给的高速加热气体的会聚流将上述细的流束减薄，把这些聚合物流束断开成小直径的不连续的微纤维。一般，所得的微纤维的平均纤维密度直径达到约10微米。这种主气体流与包含单一化的木浆纤维的副气体流汇合，这样就将两种不同的纤维集合成单一的形式。多种热塑性聚合物用于成形熔喷微纤维。这类热塑性聚合物包括聚烯烃如聚丙烯、聚乙烯、聚酰胺、聚酯，以及热塑弹性体如聚氨酯。相应的工艺较详细地描述于1978年7月11日授予Anderson等并转让给共同受让人的美国专利No.4100324中，它所公开的内容已综合于此并构成本申请的一部分。本发明的关键是此副吸湿件的显著部分是由不吸湿的聚合物组分构成。此副吸湿件20包括约50-约95％，更好是约50-约80％，而最好是约50-约75％不吸湿聚合物料。第二副吸湿件20具有的平均密度为约0.015-约0.1克/厘米3，更好是约0.02-约0.09克/厘米3。业已发现，当不吸湿聚合物组分少于50％时，污染罩料并向下迁移的液体将被吸入芯吸较慢的副吸湿件20中，这样就会导致上述问题并且减弱了吸湿芯16的有效性和利用率。
卫生巾10可以包括一转移层(未示明)。这种转移层是设计成用来促进体液从罩往下的运动，同时提供使罩12与吸湿芯16隔开的装置，以给使用者以干燥感和增进其舒适感。当采用时，此转移层最好位于罩12和副吸湿件20之间，并可取与吸湿芯相应的构型。转移层的说明已公开在授予Meyer等的美国专利No.4798603中，该项专利已转让给本受让人，并构成本申请的一部分。
参看图2，所示吸湿制品50具有罩52、挡件54、主吸湿件56和副吸湿件58。副吸湿件58有朝向罩52设置的预定表面区。副吸湿件58包括一区域60，后者所具有的密度低于周围的副吸湿件58或主吸湿件56。区域60的密度可以小于约0.01克/厘米3，而更好是小于约0.005克/厘米3。区域60最好是一个孔或腔。理想上说，孔60的构型和尺寸设置成适当地让使用者能用视觉观察主吸湿件56。因此，相对于副吸湿件58，孔60的开口面积要大于朝向罩52设置的副吸湿件58的表面积的20％，更好是大于其30％，而最好是大于其50％。孔60穿过副吸湿件58，从而使主吸湿件56暴露。这就使液体迅速吸入主吸湿件56，且对该主吸湿件56进入视觉观察。
参考图3A，孔60可以贯穿主吸湿件56和副吸湿件58。这样就能使流体快速地进入卫生巾50。有利的是，这样可使卫生巾50以倒置的形式装满获得的液体，从而减少了再湿润。这一实施例还显示出，由于允许要吸收的体液吸入主吸湿件56时并不解吸来自副吸湿件58的液体，就能提高吸湿料的利用率。
参看图3，相邻的主面62和64分别确定出主吸湿件56和副吸湿件58的相邻主表面。主面62和64可通点粘合而粘合到一起形成单一结构，或者可以用本技术中的其他装置如内行的人士所熟悉的结构粘合剂粘合到一起。主面62和64是以这样的方式固定到一起，使之不阻碍液体流过副吸湿件58或形成刚硬的不舒适的产品。
参看图4，所示的吸湿制品100包括罩102、挡件104、主吸湿件106和副吸湿件108。副吸湿件108包括多个低密度区110。这些低密度区110最好是一些孔或腔，它们的直径大于约3mm，贯穿副吸湿件108而暴露出主吸湿件106。孔110的结合起的开口表面面积大于朝向罩102设置的副吸湿件108的总表面积约20％，较好大于其约30％而最好大于其约50％。
卫生巾10、50和100可以包括横向延伸件(未示明)，这为本技术中内行的人士称之为翼片、叶片和板片。这种翼片设计成用来包绕到使用者的内衣的裤裆部的外表面。通常，至少有一个翼片具有接附于一个表面上的粘合剂带，而这个表面最好是一个翼片的上表面。为使粘合剂不会在计划使用之前过早或不经意地粘合到表面上，可以用可松释的剥离带盖住此粘合剂。
根据本发明，给出了下面仅仅用作解释目的的例子。在这些例子中，卫生巾的吸湿性是通过把它铺在一平的水平面上进行测定的。通过测定此组合件的上下表面区所污染的表面积来评估此吸湿件的功能。
用于评估这种功能的材料包括20cc盐水、用来将在后面加以描述的试验液导向吸湿制品的丙烯酸块、停表以及牛血，后者可购自Cocallico Biologcals Inc.，Stevens Road，Reamstown，PA 17567，用作试验液体。丙烯酸块为4英寸宽×4英寸长，厚1英寸，中央有一1/2英寸宽×2英寸长的卵形孔。孔口的两侧的中心处有一指示标志。此指示标志帮助布设盐水位置和试验液的输出。
用来评估卫生巾的试验方法包括首先调节卫生巾，即使它置于21±1℃和50±2％相对湿度的室中2小时。然后将丙烯酸块置于卫生巾的中央，使孔的长部平行于卫生巾的纵边。将试验量的牛血抽入到盐水内，在指示标志处按约0.6～0.7mm/sec的速率分配到上述孔内。总共用6cc的牛血来污染例1-24中的吸湿制品。这些吸湿制品的结果列示于表1(比较例)和表2中。总共用10立方厘米(cc)的牛血来污染例25-28中的吸湿制品。这些吸湿制品的结果列示于表3(比较例)和表4中。当孔中无试验液时，撤出丙烯酸块，加以清洗供试验下一个吸湿巾用。经5分钟后，仔细分开污染的卫生巾各层，在各吸湿层上测量污染面积。
用于本试验中的牛血具有血球比容33-47、比重1.046-约1.058、固体物质约19.1％、胶体渗透液约260-约300mm水柱。

根据上述方法试验了市售的产品。参看表1，测量了牛血污染达6mm经5分钟所污损的面积。
