Abstract

Description

尤其用于汽车的催化 排气净化装置及相关的补偿层
本发明涉及一种按权利要求1前序部分所述的尤其用于汽车的催化排气净化装置和一种按权利要求9前序部分所述的相关的补偿层。
人们要求由于结构和/或催化有效的表面涂层的类型而有所不同的排气净化装置即用于柴油机驱动的汽车,其中主要涉及炭烟后燃,也用于汽油机排气消毒。在所有情况下的一个重要问题是将在排气净化装置中大量采用的易断裂的陶瓷蜂窝体持久、可靠和尤其阻尼冲击地支承在一金属外壳内,再加上与蜂窝体相比外壳在受高温时膨胀量要大得多这一事实使此问题更加突出。
当在外壳与蜂窝体之间的补偿层内采用所谓的膨胀垫时使排气净化装置有非常有利的特性,因为这样一来上述巨大的热膨胀差能非常有利地被吸收。膨胀垫有能力通过膨胀填充由于外壳与蜂窝体性质不同以及由于制造公差引起的空腔,并因而保证在长的工作期间可靠地支承。膨胀垫通常含有云母片,它们在如果其周围存在位置的情况下吸水并与此同时膨胀。
但这类如在这些情况下优选地采用的以铝-硅酸盐为基的垫子完全一样的膨胀垫的缺点在于,由于脉冲式的排气流它们很容易被剥蚀。
为防止剥蚀已提出了一系列方案建议,以便借助于这些建议化解由于脉冲式排气带来的问题。例如,为了使这种膨胀垫稳定化,已在DE8019813U1中建议,将一波纹状金属丝网层组合在膨胀垫内。为保护膨胀垫在蜂窝体端面处受剥蚀,应在蜂窝体端面设气密环,以覆盖由膨胀垫充填的间隙。
另一种防止剥蚀的方案采用金属的所谓屏蔽罩,它们设在陶瓷蜂窝体端面前由于温度使长度改变后造成的最小距离处。这种方案的一种有利的进一步发展规定,屏蔽罩用陶瓷材料制造,因此由于膨胀系数相同它以其端面直接贴靠在陶瓷的蜂窝体上。
按DE29709180U1已知一种支承垫,它有一个用“膨大(intumeszierend)”材料,亦即含有泡胀剂的材料制的层,为防止剥蚀,支承垫采用至少一种弹性、柔性、强度低或不膨大的物质组成的添加剂。
此外,由于排气设备中的蜂窝体工作时被加热到900℃或更高以及应保护设在排气净化装置附近的构件免受此高温的影响,还已知在外壳与蜂窝体之间设一隔热层。
这种隔热层可以是一个空气层,由于空气的热传导和热对流特性差,所以它对外壳隔离了在催化排气净化装置使用时在蜂窝体内产生的高温。
已知作为替换形式或除空气层隔热外附加地设一个用陶瓷材料制的隔热层。在这里同样由于所采用的陶瓷材料差的热传导和热对流特性而存在着外壳与蜂窝体之间的隔热。因为上面曾提及的用于固定蜂窝体的膨胀垫在很高的例如超过800℃的环境温度时将水排出并与此同时收缩,因而蜂窝体会在外壳内松动,故在某些高负荷排气净化装置中膨胀垫必须相对于蜂窝体隔热,对此已知蜂窝体首先设一所谓的隔热垫,亦即优选地用陶瓷材料制的隔热层,然后才用膨胀垫围绕。
当然仍存在保护膨胀垫免受脉冲式排气流剥蚀的问题,按上面已说明的先有技术看来只有借助于昂贵的覆盖装置和/或组合入增强或添加物才能足以保证这种保护。
因此本发明的目的是,在一种更为简单的结构中做到使膨胀垫即使在很高的环境温度下也能可靠屏蔽强烈脉冲的排气流。
此目的借助于按权利要求1的排气净化装置或按权利要求9的补偿层达到。在各从属权利要求中说明了有利的设计和进一步发展。
通过使隔热垫在蜂窝体的至少一个端面区有比其余内部区更厚的边界,与此同时与隔热垫内部区背对蜂窝体一侧相邻地按这样的方式设一膨胀垫,即,使隔热垫边界较厚的区域覆盖住膨胀垫有被剥蚀危险的边界面,从而以有利的方式使膨胀垫屏蔽强烈脉冲的排气并隔离热传导和热对流。
除了以有利的方式通过膨胀垫封闭外壳与蜂窝体之间可能在制造时留下的或在工作中形成的空腔外,膨胀垫在吸水时通过膨胀封闭其相邻的空腔。其结果是达到持久可靠地尤其是阻尼冲击地支承易断裂的陶瓷蜂窝体。
本发明的一项特别有利的进一步发展规定,边界较厚的区域可通过折叠隔热垫制成。
包括一个膨胀垫和一个隔热垫的补偿层的一项从制造技术看特别有利的设计在于,有较厚边界的隔热垫和膨胀垫设计为复合材料。此补偿层可沿周向例如围绕蜂窝体优选地至少卷绕一次,或在隔热要求更高时也可卷绕多次。作为替换形式,此设计为复合材料的补偿层可由与预制的圆柱形、椭圆形或其他轮廓形状的外壳相配的一些分段尤其半壳状分段组成。
下面借助于附图说明本发明其他特征、优点和设计。附图表示:

图1表示按本发明的排气净化装置1局部剖切的一部分。其中,被补偿层4缠绕的蜂窝体2装在外壳3中。
蜂窝体2优选地是一种尤其是由所谓薄壁陶瓷构成的整体式陶瓷蜂窝体。但用薄金属板构成的蜂窝体2也可以类似地固定,其中,相对于优选的金属外壳3同样要求隔热。在本实施例中,固定和隔热借助于补偿层4实现,补偿层4包括一个陶瓷材料层,优选地一个膨胀垫5,以及另一个隔热层,所谓的隔热垫6。这两层共同构成此补偿层4,它一方面将蜂窝体2可靠地固定在外壳3中,另一方面造成非常良好的隔热。隔热垫6用陶瓷材料制造并有很低的热导率,从而防止从蜂窝体2向外壳3热传导和热对流。膨胀垫5含有云母片,只要在其周围存在位置它们便吸水并与此同时膨胀。换句话说,膨胀垫5填充由于外壳3与蜂窝体2性质不同以及由于制造公差造成的空腔,并因而保证在长的工作期间蜂窝体2可靠地支承在外壳3内。膨胀垫5和陶瓷材料的隔热垫6典型地是如由先有技术已知的用于固定陶瓷蜂窝体2的那种纤维垫,它们的厚度取决于为了补偿外壳3及蜂窝体2的加工公差以及用于在长的工作期间进行固定的需要。还应当指出,为了改善隔热,尤其在排气净化装置1布置在离内燃机出口很近的地方因而处于很高的工作温度的情况下,可采用沿径向彼此相继的多个补偿层4和/或也可以只是附加一些隔热层6。
因为众所周知脉冲式热排气剥蚀含有云母片的膨胀垫5,所以在蜂窝体2的至少一个端面区内,优选地在蜂窝体2的两个端面区内,采取针对性的保护措施。为此,将本身很耐剥蚀的隔热层6朝外壳3的方向折叠,亦即制成一厚的边界,它覆盖住膨胀垫有剥蚀危险的边界面。对于制造按本发明的排气净化装置1特别有利的是,将如此结构的补偿层设计为一种复合材料。
图2表示设计为由隔热垫6和膨胀垫5组成复合材料的补偿层4,它优选地可沿周向绕蜂窝体2至少卷绕一次。在一种图中未表示的作为替换的实施形式中,设计为复合材料的补偿层4由与预制的圆柱形、椭圆形或其他轮廓形状的外壳3相配的一些分段尤其半壳状分段组成。若隔热垫6,亦即隔热层,至少在其边界7的较厚区内由长的陶瓷纤维构成,则它很不容易受脉冲式排气的剥蚀,因此借助于此隔热垫6边界7的较厚区便足以保护膨胀垫5有剥蚀危险的边界面9。
本发明的特征在于一种非常简单而同时极为有效的结构方式,以及也适合于在离发动机近的汽车催化排气净化装置1内使用。它能可靠地支承蜂窝体2、同时造成蜂窝体2在外壳3内良好地隔热、并充分保护补偿层4中含膨胀材料的层5免遭脉冲式排气流的剥蚀。

Claims (16)

1.尤其用于汽车的催化排气净化装置(1),包括至少一个整体式陶瓷蜂窝体(2),它装在金属外壳(3)内,其中,在外壳(3)与蜂窝体(2)之间设补偿层(4),补偿层包括-一个有被剥蚀危险的边界面(9)的膨胀垫(5),以及-一个有边界(7)和内部区(8)的隔热垫(6),其特征为:-隔热垫(6)的边界(7)在蜂窝体(2)至少一个端面所在的区内比其余的内部区(8)厚;以及-与隔热垫(6)的内部区(8)背对蜂窝体(2)的一侧相邻地按这样的方式设膨胀垫(5),即,使隔热垫(6)边界(7)较厚的区域覆盖住膨胀垫(5)有被剥蚀危险的边界面(9)。
