Abstract

一种超声波密封装置,具有带细长平坦密封面的加热臂和相向钳爪,与该加热臂的密封面共同动作推压包装材的相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,设有积存溶融树脂的槽,在相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与切断侧相邻区域,设有积存溶融树脂的槽和使溶融树脂从密封区域流出到切断侧的倾斜。把包含热可塑性树脂的叠层体构成的包装材形成为管状,在液面下对该管状包装材横断地进行超声波密封,能把果汁浆等夹杂物与溶融热可塑性树脂一起从密封区域排出,实现良好的密封。

Description

超声波密封装置
本发明涉及充填包装机中的超声波密封装置,该充填包装机用于制造可长期保存的纸容器包装液体饮料。更具体地说,该超声波密封装置备有相向的钳爪,该钳爪具有控制溶融热可塑性树脂的流动、提高密封性的特定形状的作用面。
现有技术中,对充填着果汁的长方体状包装容器用的包装材料板进行杀菌用的包装机,有图1所示的充填包装机。该充填包装机备有卷绕机2、杀菌装置3、纵密封部4、供液管5、横密封装置7、容器整形装置。上述卷绕机2将叠层包装材料板1呈卷筒状地支承着。上述杀菌装置3对被卷绕机依次卷回的板状叠层包装材料板进行杀菌。上述纵密封部4将杀菌后的叠层包装材料板的长度方向两端部密封,形成管状叠层包装材料板。上述供液管5将流动性物充填到形成为管状的板内。上述横密封装置7一边把充填着饮料的管往下方运送相当于一个容器的长度,一边在与管状叠层包装材料板的长度方向直交的方向,在液面下横断地密封,同时连续地成形为断面为矩形的枕状容器6。上述容器整形装置将枕状容器6的端部弯折,成形为最终形态的长方体状容器8。上述横密封装置7由密封装置、固定该密封装置的密封钳爪和驱动该密封钳爪的驱动机构构成。
另外,作为超声波密封装置,有日本特开平7-2231号公报揭示的超声波密封装置,该密封装置具有带压电陶瓷板的压电驱动单元或磁致伸缩驱动单元和备有细长密封表面的加热臂,还备有与加热臂一起形成半波长的一个或一个以上的反作用体。除了该公报外,还有一些公知的超声波密封装置,例如日本特公昭62-22784号公报、特开平2-72024号公报、特开平7-33121号公报、特开昭56-92046号公报、特开平6-15741号公报等。
另外,在日本实开昭63-147408号公报、实用新型第3004786号中,揭示了一种液体容器的超声波密封装置。该密封装置中,与加热臂的密封面协同动作并推压叠层包装材料的相向钳爪的作用面形状具有特征,在加热臂和砧座构成的筒部的中央,把具有重合粘接部的方筒状液体容器的上下端开口部密封住,在上述加热臂的被密封部相接面的中央,设有带状凸条,在砧座的被密封部相接面中央,设有与上述凸条直交的凹槽,该凹槽的底部做成为二级构造,其台阶部分和两端部分呈锥状,并且在底部中央的端部,设有向侧方伸出的锐角状突出倾斜面。
日本特开平8-230834号公报揭示的高频热封装置中,在其长度方向的作用面上设置凸部,在该凸部的两侧,采用具有与该凸部平行的槽的高频线圈,这样,即使包材的树脂溶融、被凸部推压,溶融树脂也不流出密封区外,而积存在上述槽内。另外,日本特开平8-244728号公报揭示的高频热封装置中,采用的高频线圈是,密封区形成部越到外侧(容器内面侧)越朝远的方向倾斜,在液面下的管的加压时,从密封区朝着容器内侧,顺利地排除液体和溶融树脂,进行热封。
对充填着液体饮料等的管状包装材料,在液面下、即在液体存在的状态下,横断状地进行热密时,为了良好地进行热封,对管进行加压及加热的密封时,必须尽可能地将液体从管的密封区排除。但是,与液体接触着的管内面并不是完全平坦的,细看时有一些微小的凹凸。特开昭58-134744号公报、特开平5-269854号公报、特开平7-164523号公报、特开平9-240607号公报、特开平8-230834号公报记载的高频热封装置中,采用的是不使溶融树脂流出密封区外、而是使其积存在密封区内的密封方式,所以,不能使进入了管内面微小凹凸的液体或污物流出密封区外,所以其密封性不能说是很充分的。
本发明者发现,为了排除密封时进入了该凹凸的液体和污物,只要使密封区内的液体与溶融树脂一起流出到密封区外即可,从而完成了上述特开平8-244728号公报记载的发明。但是,采用该热封装置的方法中,虽然能完全排除进入了凹凸内的液体和污物,得到很好的密封性,但流出到容器内侧即接液侧的溶融树脂有时不均匀地溢出,如图2所示,在容器内侧的边缘部形成波浪状的溶融树脂波纹9,在密封工序后用成形机等进行的二次工序中,压力作用在容器上时,从波纹部9的波顶部10产生龟裂,产生少量的液漏。该高频密封装置中的问题,即使考虑到超声波密封装置的特殊性,可能也会有同样的问题。
关于超声波密封装置的特殊性、即与高频热封装置的差异,本发明者根据实验得到以下的认识。与超声波密封装置中的超声波加热臂相向的钳爪的共同动作对管状包装材料进行推压时,如果在超声波加热臂的密封面上附加提高密封性的槽或倾斜等的形状,则由于附加了凹凸等,使振动的均匀性难以保持,不能对管状包装材料的预定密封部分施加适当的压力。另外,超声波密封与高频热封不同,在高频热封中,对被未加压的部分也可以加热,而在超声波密封中,仅由超声波切实传递振动的被加压部分被加热,所以,溶融热可塑性树脂的一部分必然地流出到容器内部即接液侧。
本发明的目的是提供一种超声波密封装置,该装置中,可将超声波发送机的振动切实付与要密封的区域,对纵密封部附近的台阶部也能充分加热,可将存在于应密封区域的果汁浆等夹杂物,与溶融热可塑性树脂一起从密封区域排出,并且,通过控制流出到接液侧的溶融热可塑性树脂的厚度和宽度,可防止波纹状溶融树脂的波纹的形成,具有优良的密封性。
为了实现上述目的,本发明者经锐意研究发现,如果不是在加热臂的密封面上、而是在相向钳爪的作用面上,附加能控制溶融热可塑性树脂流动的构造,则能将超声波发送机的振动切实地付与要密封的区域,并且,在相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,通过设置可积存溶融热可塑性树脂的槽,可以把夹杂物与溶融热可塑性树脂一起从密封区域排出,并且,可控制流出到接液侧的溶融热可塑性树脂的厚度和宽度,从而完成了本发明。
即,本发明方案1记载的超声波密封装置,把至少含有热可塑性树脂层的叠层体构成的包装材做成为管状,在液面下横断地对该管状包装材进行超声波密封;其特征在于,具有加热臂和相向钳爪,该加热臂具有细长且平坦的密封面,该相向钳爪备有作用面,该作用面包含与加热臂的密封面共同动作并推压包装材的推压部分,在该相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,至少设有积存溶融热可塑性树脂的槽。
本发明方案2记载的超声波密封装置的特征是,在方案1记载的超声波密封装置中,在相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与切断侧相邻区域,设有积存溶融热可塑性树脂的槽。
本发明方案3记载的超声波密封装置的特征是,在方案1记载的超声波密封装置中,在相向钳爪的作用面上,设有使溶融热可塑性树脂从密封区域流出到切断侧的倾斜。
本发明方案4记载的超声波密封装置的特征是,在方案1至3中任一项记载的超声波密封装置中,借助槽和/或倾斜,推压部分的宽度比密封面的宽度窄。
本发明方案5记载的超声波密封装置的特征是,在方案1、2或4记载的超声波密封装置中,槽的断面为圆弧状,其深度尺寸小于其宽度的1/2。
本发明方案6记载的超声波密封装置的特征是,在方案1至5中任一项记载的超声波密封装置中,叠层体含有纸层。

根据本发明,能将超声波发送机的振动切实付与密封区域,对纵密封部附近的台阶部也能充分加热,可把存在于密封区域的果汁浆等夹杂物与溶融热可塑性树脂一起从密封区域排走,并且控制流出到接液侧的溶融热可塑性树脂的厚度和宽度,防止形成溶融树脂的波纹,结果,可实现优良的超声波热封。

本发明中的至少包含热可塑性树脂层的叠层体构成的包装材,并无特别限制,只要是在其内面能用加热装置热封的聚乙烯等热可塑性树脂层的叠层体均可,但为了保持容器的刚性,最好备有纸板等的纸层。另外,也可以采用空气或微生物不能透过进入容器内的铝箔层或氧不透过性的合成树脂薄膜层的叠层体。另外,本发明中的管状包装材,除了将上述包装材卷成管状外,也可以采用用密封带把上述包装材形成为管状的包装材。
本发明的密封装置,将包装材做成为管状,在液面下对管状的包装材横断状地进行超声波密封,只要具有以下构造的装置均可,即,装置中具有加热臂和相向钳爪,该加热臂具有细长而平坦的密封面,该相向钳爪备有与加热臂的密封面共同动作、包含推压包装材的推压部分的作用面。在该相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,设有溶融热可塑性树脂积存槽。除了在该相向钳爪作用面上设有槽外,也可包含上述现有公知超声波密封装置。
例如,本发明者开发出的、如图3所示的超声波密封装置中,备有一个加热臂12和若干个变频器13。该加热臂12备有在长度方向对包装材进行密封的2个细长且平坦的密封面11。该变频器13立设在该加热臂12的密封面的相反侧,使加热臂共振。该超声波装置还备有密封钳爪,该密封钳爪的长度是一波长的长度,固定位置(安装法兰)14是波节平面。另外,图4所示的超声波装置(见PCT/JP99/101428)中,在一个加热臂和固定架的一体成型体15上,立设着若干变频器13。该加热臂备有在长度方向对包装材进行密封的一个细长且平坦的密封面11,通过采用具有若干变频器13的超声波密封装置,对包含两端部的细长密封面全面可均匀地进行热封。
本发明中所说的密封区域,是指借助设在加热臂端部的细长平坦的密封面和存在于相向钳爪的作用面上的、与上述加热臂的密封面共同动作而推压包装材的推压部分,对包装材的最内面的热可塑性树脂层,通过压力和机械振动付与热负荷而被热封的部分。另外,为了方便起见,有时也把预定要热封的部分称为密封区域。因此,密封区域通常与上述推压部分一致,在密封区域的两外侧,形成接液侧相邻区域和包装容器被切离的切断侧相邻区域。该密封区域是用本发明的超声波密封装置连续形成的。即,备有超声波密封装置的此种充填包装机中,通常采用2组由密封钳爪和相向钳爪构成的一对加压部件,用各一对加压部件的热封依次形成2个密封区域,在该2个密封区域间,成形为枕状的包装容器被依次切离。
本发明的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,在相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,至少设有积存溶融热可塑性树脂的槽。即,借助设在相向钳爪作用面上的槽,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,形成溶融热可塑性树脂的积存。换言之,该槽是沿着推压部分(该推压部分设在与作用面推压部分的接液侧相邻的非推压部分上)长度方向的槽。作为较好的实施例,除了在接液侧非推压面部分的槽外,在相向钳爪作用面上,在密封区域的与切断侧相邻区域,设有可积存溶融热可塑性树脂的槽。另外,作为较好的实施例,在相向钳爪作用面上,在密封区域的与切断侧相邻区域,设有使溶融热可塑性树脂朝远离密封区域方向流出的倾斜。
在相向钳爪作用面上,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域或与切断侧相邻区域,设置可积存热可塑性树脂的槽,在超声波热封时,被加压、加热而溶融了的密封区域内的热可塑性树脂从密封区域被推向密封区域外,不仅在密封区域能实现无夹杂物的良好密封,而且流出到接液侧密封区域外的溶融热可塑性树脂,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,形成具有一定宽度和厚度的溶融热可塑性树脂积存,可防止形成波浪状的溶融树脂波纹。另外,流出到切断侧密封区域外的溶融热可塑性树脂,在密封区域的与切断侧相邻区域,形成具有一定宽度和厚度的溶融热可塑性树脂积存,不流到切断部,所以切断容易。
设在相向钳爪作用面上的槽的形状无特别限定,只要是溶融热可塑性树脂不越过该槽流出到接液侧的形状即可,但是,溶融热可塑性树脂积存的接液侧端部最好是直线构造。例如,该槽可以是U字形断面、V字形断面、圆弧形断面等。最好是圆弧形断面,其深度尺寸小于其宽度的1/2、例如为宽度的1/3。另外,槽被流出的溶融热可塑性树脂埋没,为了形成密封边缘均匀宽度的溶融热可塑性树脂积存,最好预先设定上述槽的宽度和深度。在该均匀宽度的溶融热可塑性树脂积存不产生龟裂,可防止因容器内压造成突出树脂的开裂。
另外,也可以在上述作用面的推压部分的切断侧外侧不设置槽,而是在相向钳爪作用面上,设置使溶融热可塑性树脂朝远离密封区域方向流出的倾斜。这样,使溶融的密封区域内的热可塑性树脂从密封区域朝切断侧密封区域外顺利流出,可在密封区域实现无夹杂物的良好热封。通过设置该倾斜,溶融热可塑性树脂的朝接液侧密封区域外的流出量被抑制,尤其是在密封带溶融的纵密封部的流出量被抑制,可防止溶融热可塑性树脂越过设在作用面的接液侧上的槽流到充填液中。
用本发明的超声波密封装置进行热封时,其密封区域的宽度,如前所述,通常与相向钳爪作用面的推压部分的宽度一致,但是有两种形态,一种是该推压部分的宽度与加热臂的密封面宽度一致。另一种是借助上述树脂积存用槽和/或上述倾斜等,推压部分的宽度比密封面的宽度窄。备有该两种形态的超声波密封装置也包含在本发明内。另外,在本发明超声波密封装置的相向钳爪作用面上,在与密封区域对应的推压部分,也可设置连续或非连续的突条。非连续的突条,设在产生台阶、密封容易不均匀的纵密封部分附近或设在作为包装材折返部的两外侧部分,这样,可防止由于管道造成的密封不良。
如前所述,在超声波密封装置中,由加热臂构成的密封钳爪和相向钳爪构成一对加压部件,在由该一对加压部件的热封形成的2个密封区域间,成型为枕状的包装容器被切离,因此,在本发明的超声波装置中,通常在相向钳爪上,设置由切断刃及其驱动机构构成的切断机构。如上所述,该切断机构的切断,通常在2个密封区域间进行,为了能在宽度大的密封区域的约中央切断,也可以在超声波密封装置的下方设置切断装置。
下面,参照图5和图6说明本发明的热封装置。图5和图6所示本发明的超声波密封装置,采用具有热可塑性树脂层和纸层的叠层包装材料板1作为包装材,由加热臂12和相向钳爪18构成。加热臂12具有细长且平坦的2个密封面11。相向钳爪18备有细长作用面16(该细长作用面16包含与该加热臂的密封面共同动作推压包装材的推压部分)和切断机构17。在图5所示超声波密封装置的相向钳爪18的作用面16上,设有槽20和槽22。槽20设在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,用于积存溶融热可塑性树脂19。槽22设在密封区域的与切断侧相邻区域,用于积存溶融热可塑性树脂21。如图6所示,在超声波密封装置的相向钳爪18的作用面上,设有槽20和倾斜23。槽20设在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,用于积存溶融热可塑性树脂19。倾斜23使溶融热可塑性树脂从密封区域流出到切断侧。

Claims (8)

1.超声波密封装置,把至少含有热可塑性树脂层的叠层体构成的包装材做成为管状,在液面下横断地对该管状包装材进行超声波密封;其特征在于,具有加热臂和相向钳爪,该加热臂具有细长且平坦的密封面,该相向钳爪备有作用面,该作用面包含与加热臂的密封面共同动作并推压包装材的推压部分,在该相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与接液侧相邻区域,至少设有积存溶融热可塑性树脂的槽。
2.如权利要求1所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,在相向钳爪的作用面上,在密封区域的与切断侧相邻区域,设有积存溶融热可塑性树脂的槽。
3.如权利要求1所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,在相向钳爪的作用面上,设有使溶融热可塑性树脂从密封区域流出到切断侧的倾斜。
4.如权利要求1至3中任一项所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,借助槽和/或倾斜,推压部件的宽度比密封面的宽度窄。
5.如权利要求1、2或4所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,槽的断面为圆弧状,其深度尺寸小于其宽度的1/2。
6.如权利要求1至5中任一项所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,叠层体含有纸层。
7.如权利要求1至6中任一项所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,相向钳爪备有切断机构。
8.如权利要求1至7中任一项所述的超声波密封装置,其特征在于,管状的包装材,是在将包装材形成为管状时,采用密封带形成为管状的管状包装材。
