Description

宽格式纸宽打印机的打印组件
技术领域
本发明涉及大容量纸宽打印。更加特别地,本发明涉及一种宽格式纸宽打印机的打印组件。
背景技术
公众可购到宽格式打印机多年了。流行的宽格式打印机是惠普(HP)1000/5000、HP3000/3500,Epson7000/1000以及许多其它型号。
这些打印机都有在打印介质上喷墨时垂直于打印介质移动的横移打印头。本申请人认为这些打印机都有内在缺点,特别是企图利用这些打印机设计为达到更快速度打印时。
实现高打印速度的核心问题是实现能够以适当的速度产生需要数量的墨点的打印头的能力。而且为了实现精确打印,希望在尽可能小的打印周期中,并且优选地在单个周期中,产生图像的条或者带。因此,企图达到高的打印速度时使用横移打印头是不适宜的,并且要求内装适当数量的喷墨嘴的单个打印头。
也称作泡式打印头的热打印头以及压电打印头已经使用一定时间了。这些都有过度的热积聚和过度的能耗的问题,因此,本发明人发现不适合用于纸宽结构。与这些打印头相关联的一些缺点在美国专利申请09/625,504号中指出。
本申请人研发了一种能够产生分辨率高达1600dpi的图象的打印头芯片。这些芯片使用集成电路制造技术制造。所述芯片的细节在上述申请和专利中提供。本申请人认为这些打印头芯片极为适用于宽格式打印机。其理由是,由于在单个芯片中要求的大数量喷嘴,并且由于这样的芯片可以用极高的周期率驱动的事实,这样的芯片以极高的速度工作。
为了实现在宽格式打印机中有效地利用这样的打印头芯片,本申请人面临过许多困难。本发明人认识到的一个特殊困难是有效地控制若干这样的打印头芯片以实现准确的打印。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于实现产生具有高分辨率的图象的打印头在宽格式打印机中的有效应用。
根据本发明的第一方面,提供一种用于宽格式打印机的打印组件,所述打印组件包含
一个支座,所述支座可以安装在所述宽格式打印机的支承结构上、位于一个相对于宽格式打印机的平台的工作位置内;
若干布置在所述支座上的打印头芯片,所述打印头芯片集合了至少五万个喷嘴排列,所述打印头芯片布置得使打印头芯片能够向所述平台确定的一个打印区中喷射墨滴;以及
一个控制电路,所述控制电路也布置在所述支座上,并且构成得控制打印头芯片工作。
根据本发明的第二方面,提供一种宽格式打印机,所述宽格式打印机包含:
一个支承结构;
一个布置在所述平台上的打印组件,所述打印组件包含
一个支座,所述支座安装在一个相对于宽格式打印机的平台的工作位置内;
若干布置在所述支座上的打印头芯片,所述打印头芯片集合了至少五万个喷嘴排列,所述打印头芯片布置得使打印头芯片能够向所述平台确定的一个打印区中喷射墨滴;和
一个控制电路,所述控制电路也布置在所述支座上并且构成得控制打印头芯片工作;以及
一个布置在所述支承结构上的馈给机构,用于向打印组件中馈给打印介质。
由于在单个芯片中具备了大量喷嘴排列,并且由于这样的芯片可以用极高的周期率驱动,进而芯片以极高的速度工作,进行打印,从而实现产生具有高分辨率的图象的打印头在宽格式打印机中的有效应用。

具体实施方式
在图4中,标号10总体上指代一个根据本发明的打印机。
打印机10具有一个在一个基底上方支承一个打印组件14的支承结构12。支承结构12包括一对间隔开的支脚16和各从每个支脚16伸出的一个支腿18。打印组件14安装在支腿18上跨越支腿18。
介质盘20置于支腿18之间。介质盘构成得储存适当的打印介质,譬如纸22。
纸22从一个以介质辊166形式的介质馈给机构经打印组件14馈给,并且馈给到卷取轴24上。一个电子盒26也置于支腿18之间以封装下文说明的各种电子部件。
打印组件14包括一个带有一个手柄30的盖28,以及一个前罩32。盖28和前罩32置于一对端部模件34之间。
打印组件14还包括一个有触摸屏导航的彩色TFT LCD36。还设有一个停止钮38让用户能够停止打印组件14的工作。
打印组件14以及其各种部件进一步详细地示于其余的图中。
在图1至图3中,标号40总体上指代打印组件14的打印机构。如图所示,所述打印机构40是分段的。特别是,打印机构40包括用对应的接插件块44相互连接的九个印刷电路板(PCB)42。
打印机构40还包括一个具有七十二个打印头模块46的打印头41。每个PCB42构成得控制八个打印头模块46。因此设有九个PCB42。打印头46在下文中详细地说明。
每个PCB42包括一个打印引掣控制器(PEC)48。PEC48也在下文中详细地说明。
每个PCB42还包括464Mbit的外DRAM芯片50形式的存储器芯片。DRAM芯片50以下文说明的方式与PEC48配合。
而且,每个PCB42包括一个质量认证(QA)芯片52。适用的QA芯片在上述美国专利申请09/113,053号中指出并因此不在本说明书中说明。除了确保打印机10使用的打印介质的质量之类的其它功能以外,QA芯片52还起禁止以美国专利申请09/113,053号中说明的方式末经授权地重灌打印墨的作用。
最末端的PCG42包括一个串行接插件54,所述串行接插件54使串行数据线56能够连接到PCB42上。
每个PCB42用一个挠性PCB58连接到其相关联的打印头模块46上。
打印机构40包括一个在一对侧模块61之间延伸的金属机架60,所述一对侧模块61置于端部模件34中。所述PCB42安装在机架60上。机架60具有一个总体上U字形的截面。一个镍铁合金的槽板62置于机架60上。
一个塑料的机架模件64置于机架60和槽板62的外侧。每个PCB42都安装在机架模件64上。
机架模件64界定一对在机架模件64的外侧上的凹处66。凹处66伸展一个机架模件64的长度。在每个凹处66中各布置一个总线汇流条68。总线汇流条68构成得向PCB42提供电能。
一个储墨容器组件70置于镍铁合金槽板62中。储墨容器组件70包括一个墨分配装置72。每个打印头模块46被设置在各自的油墨分配装置72上。特别地,每个打印头模块46都可拆卸地安装在其墨分配装置72上以在需要时便于拆卸和更换。
储墨容器组件70包括多个储墨容器模件76。每个储墨容器模件76对应一个相关联的打印头模块46。储墨容器模件76端对端地沿镍铁合金槽板62布置在其内。每个储墨容器模件76确定多个细长的墨槽74,每个墨槽74容纳不同颜色的墨。从而,有效的细长墨槽延伸一个镍铁合金槽板62的长度。
一个端帽模件78置于最末端的储墨容器模件76上。所述端帽模件78具有多个确定于其上的连接器80,并且当端帽模件78置于所述的最末端的储墨容器模件76之上时与对应的墨槽74对齐。连接器80可以连接到一个墨软管连接器82上。所述墨软管连接器82转而连接到多个墨软管84的每一个上。因此,每个软管84与对应的墨槽74液体连通。每个软管84用特定颜色的墨供给储墨容器组件70。例如,软管84可以分别地载运青(C)、洋红(M)、黄(Y)、和黑(K)颜色的墨。在此情况下,设有四个软管84。还有,每个储墨容器模件76确定四个墨槽74。变通地,软管84可以分别地载运青(C)、洋红(M)、黄(Y)、红(R)、绿(G)和蓝颜色的墨。在此情况下,设有六个软管84。还有,然后每个储墨容器模件76确定六个墨槽74。取代于六种不同颜色的墨,六个软管84可以载运CMYK和红外(IR)墨和一个用于高速打印定色剂(F),使墨可以快速干燥。
每个软管84连接到对应的墨容器86(图5)上,从而每个软管84连接在墨容器86和一个特定的墨槽74之间。软管84用图1中所示的三通管连接器94连接到其相应的容器86上。
打印组件14包括对应于相应的打印头模块46的加盖装置88。每个加盖装置88可以在一个操作位置与一个不操作位置之间移位,在所述操作位置,它起盖住其相应的打印模块46以防止墨干燥的作用,在所述不操作位置,墨可以从打印头模块46喷出。一个凸轮轴90置于机架60之中。一个移动构件92相互连接凸轮轴90和加盖装置88,从而凸轮轴90的旋转运动导致加盖装置88在其操作位置和不操作位置之间往复运动。
凸轮轴90用一个在图5中用96总体地指代的适当的马达驱动。
打印组件14的进一步细节示于图7中。如在此图中可见,前罩32、盖28和后罩98一起确定一个打印组件14的壳100。
多个墨盒102布置在盖28下面。每个墨盒102储存上述的墨之一。每个墨盒102布置在一对夹具104之间,从而它可以在需要时更换。当把墨盒102容置在夹具104之间时,每个墨盒102和一个相应的储墨容器86相互地液体连通。
上平台106和下平台108形式的一对平台置于壳100内。设有一对以一个上主辊110和一个下主辊112形式的间隔主辊,用于经过打印组件14移动纸22。上辊110布置在平台106、108的上端,而下辊布置在平台106、108之间。辊110、112构成用于相继地在下平台108的内表面和上平台106的外表面上驱动一页纸22。从而,在下辊布置在纸22的上向移动的部分和下向移动的部分之间时,纸22在上辊110上通过。
一个刷子114枢转地安排在壳100的116处。刷子114具有与上主辊110相应的弧形横向轮廓。刷114布置在壳100中,从而纸22可以在刷子114和壳100之间通过。
一个压紧辊118布置在刷子114的下游用于支靠上主辊110。从而,当从刷子114与上主辊110之间移动纸22时,压紧辊118使纸22不作横向运动。
上平台106确定一个上打印区120和一个下切割区122。在上和下打印区120、122之间确定一个间隙124。多个带尖齿的轮126部分地经间隙126收入,用于接合纸22和下主辊122。一个横臂128工作地相对带尖齿的轮126布置,以把带尖齿的轮126保留在适当的位置。带尖齿的轮126和压紧辊118构形得当纸22在上平台106的打印区120上方通过时在纸22中建立适当的张力。
机架60和槽板62布置在上平台106的打印区120的上方。机架60和槽板62连接到一个移位机构129上,从而当需要时可以把机架60和槽板62从打印区120移开。特别地,机架60和槽板62可以在一个操作位置与一个不操作位置之间位移,在所述操作位置,打印头模块46与打印区120有适于打印的距离,在所述不操作位置,可以从打印区120松开纸22。
机架60和槽板62用适当的金属件130连接到打印辊118。而且,机架60和槽板62连接到横臂128上。因此,当操作位移机构129时,压紧辊118和带尖齿的轮126与机架60和槽板62一起从上平台106移动开。
位移机构129包括一个凸轮轴132和一个推杆134。推杆134连接到机架60和槽板62,从而当凸轮轴132旋转时,一起朝向和离开上平台106地移动机架60和槽板62。
上空转辊136可旋转地安装在上平台106上方,从而使纸22收在上平台106和上空转辊136之间。
一个下回弹空转辊138安装在下平台108的上方,使得能够经过一个界定在下平台108中的间隙104部分地容置。回弹空转辊138构成并且布置得压靠在下主辊112上。从而,纸22的上向运动部分紧夹在下主辊112和回弹空转辊138之间,并且在其间通过。
打印组件14包括一个在壳100中安装在上平台106的切割区122的上方的切割机构142。该切割机构包括一个切刀146,所述切刀146横向纸22以切纸22。所述切割机构142包括一个光传感器144,从而当切刀146在达到切割行程终端时可以停止切刀146。切割区122界定一个切割结构148,所述切割结构148与切刀146配合以方便切纸22。
如从图6中可见,打印组件14包括一个空气推进器150和一个用于驱动空气推进器150的马达152。空气推进器150起在壳100内产生冷却用气流的作用。一个空气过滤器153也布置在壳150中,以过滤流经壳100的空气。空气推进器150还起产生气流在充分的程度上把打印头模块46上的尘土聚积降到最小的作用。
如在图6中进一步可见,主辊110、112连接到安装在一个支架156上的一个变速箱154上。变速箱154和支架156布置在一个支腿18上并且用一个端部模件34盖住。从而,主辊110、112起经打印组件14驱动纸22的作用。
一个打印头支架157置于壳100中并且在支腿18之间延伸。打印头支架157为机架60和槽板62提供一个支承结构。打印头支架157还为上空转辊136提供一个支承结构。
壳100形状做得界定一个开口158,用作纸22进出打印组件14的通道。馈给辊162可旋转地安装在一个延伸在支腿18之间的系杆160上。馈给辊162布置得使当向打印组件14中馈纸时使纸22在馈给辊162上方通过。系杆160还起一种对打印机10提供结构上的刚性的作用。
导出辊164可旋转地安装在上平台106上。导出辊164布置使得当从打印组件14馈出纸时经导出辊164上方通过。
介质辊166和卷取轴24分别地用介质辊驱动马达168和卷取轴驱动马达170驱动(参见图5)。
打印机10包括一个置于电子盒26中的电源单元172。电源单元172构成得既可以用110V供电也可以用220V供电。而且,电源单元172还构成得可以从电源单元172给出达90安培的电流。电源单元172连接至打印机10的各种部件的电源线173,以供给这些部分所要求的工作电能,所述的部件譬如是各种驱动马达。
打印机10包括一个ATX母板174,所述ATX母板174也置于电子盒26中。一个打印头接口卡176安装在母板174上。打印头接口卡176用适当的数据线178连接到所述九个PCB42上。从而从母板174提供到接口卡176的常规打印数据可以转换成适当的形式,以用各个PCB42读取。
打印头10包括一个硬驱单元180。常规地,硬驱单元180可以具有40G字节的容量。这便于存储整个要打印的图像。硬驱单元180用常规的方式连接到母板174上。硬驱单元180是常规的硬驱单元,并且因此能够用任何数量的格式存储图象,譬如众所公知的JPEG格式。从硬驱单元180读取图象数据的方式也是常规的。如下文指出,由于在本发明中利用的技术,图象的打印也数字控制。因此经打印头接口卡176从硬驱单元180向PCB42转移图象数据,可以不需要重要的数据变换地进行,特别是,不需要数字—模拟信号转换。
接口卡176还连接到马达和LCD控制器PCB182,以控制各种驱动马达和TFTLCD的工作。这样控制的细节在以上所引的申请中指出,因此不在本说明书中说明。马达和LCD控制器PCB182连接到截止开关184,所述截止开关184转而连接到停止钮38上,从而可以停止打印机10的工作。
如在图14中可见,打印头模块46可以各包括一个打印头芯片186。所述打印头芯片186可以是前文引述的申请/专利中所述任何打印头芯片的形式。每个打印头模块46包括一个支座187,打印头芯片186置于其中。支座187确定一个用于与打印头芯片186相关联的挠性PCB58的适当连接区。图13示出一个适用于打印机10中的打印头芯片186的部分的示意图。每个打印头模块46都包括公知的片上准标258。片上准标258基本上是标志形式,用于方便准确地把打印头模块46对齐在打印组件14中。
打印头芯片186在前文引述的美国专利申请09/112,767中详细地说明,从而不在本说明书中详细地说明。然而,简而言之,芯片186包括一个晶片基底188。一个CMOS驱动电路层190置于晶片基底188之上并且连接到挠性PCB58上。
多个喷嘴排列210置于CMOS驱动电路层190之上。为了方便,在图13中示出一个这样的喷嘴排列210。打印头芯片186包含在晶片基底188上的多重复制。如在前文引述的申请和专利中所述,打印头芯片186是集成电路制造技术的产品。复制部件以得到产品是这样的制造技术的公知特征。因此芯片制造业的领域内普通技术人员容易理解打印头芯片186。

一个叶片构件212安装在致动器臂196上,以伸入进喷嘴室206中。叶片构件212构形和布置在喷嘴室206中,从而,在致动器臂196如前文所述位移时,墨从喷嘴室206喷出。
致动器臂196经支柱194连接到CMOS层190,使得加热层198能够从CMOS层190接收电信号。
如在图3和图9中可见,打印头芯片186每个都对沿打印区120纵向的直线成角度地布置。这方便了在打印头芯片186的邻接端部的重叠测量,以保证打印连续性。
从上述美国专利申请和专利可以看出,包括上述打印头芯片的宽纸打印头可以内装达84000个喷嘴排列。因此,通过使用打印头芯片186,打印组件14可能具有多达200000个喷嘴排列以上。因此,可以在打印区120在纸22上打印200000个点以上。在一个特定示例中,七十二个打印头芯片186用552960个喷嘴排列210提供57.6英寸的打印宽度。
每个芯片186的喷嘴排列210以交错的方式并排布置。因此可以用打印头芯片186实现真正的1600dpi的打印。

每个喷嘴排列210的特征是使得它能够用与其相关联的PEC48以达80KHz的周期率驱动。这使之能够每秒打印达216亿个墨滴,这以1600dpi提供每小时三万五千平方英尺。
每个打印头芯片186用挠性PCB58连接到与其相关的PCB42。因此每个挠性PCB58连接到与其相关的打印头芯片186的CMOS层190。
每个PCB48都是一个页再现引擎应用专用集成电路(ASIC),所述集成电路从打印头接口176接收与压缩的页图象相关的输入数据。PCE48产生达六通道双层面点数据的解压的页图像作为输出。应当理解,在此示例中,每个PEC48与八个打印头芯片186通信。然而,每个PEC48能够与多达十六个这样的打印头芯片186通信。特别地,每个PEC48可以以1500行/秒的速度寻址达六个彩色通道中的十六个打印头芯片。因此每个PEC48使12.8英寸打印头宽度能够用于A3、A4和信函纸的全幅打印。
每个PEC48都是不认彩色空间的。这意味着PEC48可以以任何颜色接受打印数据。尽管每个PEC48可以接受X是供选择的第四通道的作为CMYX或者RGBX的同色调数据,它还可以接受任何打印彩色空间中的同色调数据。因此,每个PEC48用于确定一个用于从输入通道向输出通道任意映射的机构。PEC48还构成得结合点以进行墨优化,以及在任何数量的其它通道的基础上产生通道。在此示例中,数据输入典型地基于用于同色调打印的CMYK通道,基于用于双层面输入的K通道、固定剂通道,以及供选择的其它墨通道。PEC48还构成用于产生快速打印应用的固定剂通道。
每个PEC48还构成得不认分辨率。这意味着每个PEC48简单地通过各种比例系数提供输入分辨率与输出分辨率之间的映射。在此示例中,期望的输出分辨率是1600dpi。然而,对此作用,PEC48不存储任何数据。
每个PEC48还构成得不认页长。每个PEC48一次操作一个打印带,而一页可以有任何数量的带。因此一“页”可以具有任何合理的长度。
每个PEC48确定一个接口,从而它可以如本发明所要求地与其它PEC48同步。这使之可能有同时复式打印A3/A4/信函纸的两个PEC方案。也允许每个PCB48仅响应于一页部分打印。应当理解,把同步功能与局部页再现结合使之可以使多个PEC能够结合用于其它打印要求,包括同时复式打印、宽格式打印、商务打印、专业高同色调分辨率打印,以及要求六个墨通道以上的打印应用。

在图10中示出PEC48的方框图。PEC48包括一个高速接口214,经所述高速接口214,一个外部微控制器216可以对64Mbit的DRAM芯片50写入。PEC48还包括一个低速的串行接口220,经所述低速串行接口220,微控制器216可以访问PEC48和DRAM芯片50的寄存器。
PEC48还包括一个接收相关于压缩的页的数据和把相关于压缩的页的数据再现成相关于双层面的点的数据的页扩展单元(PEU)222。还设有一个行下载装置/格式化装置单元224,所述行下载装置/格式化装置单元224对与每个打印头模块46的打印头芯片186直接通信的打印头接口226指定目标的一个给定的行的点进行格式化。
可见,PEC48完成三个基本任务。这些任务有:
a)经过低速接口220(或者从外部DRAM芯片50)接收寄存器和DRAM访问指令。
b)经高速接口214接收DRAM写访问(典型地压缩的页带和寄存器指令字块)。
c)从外部的DRAM芯片50向打印头芯片186再现页带。
这些任务是独立的。然而它们共享外部的DRAM芯片50。因此要求仲裁。PEC48构成得使再现页带所需要的DRAM访问总是具有最高的优先权。
PEC48包括一个PEC控制器228,所述PEC控制器给外部用户提供用单个32位数据分块读和写PEC寄存器、以及读和写DRAM的手段。
DRAM芯片50连接到一个SDRAM控制器234。转而,SDRAM控制器34再连接到一个DRAM接口单元236。
PEC48包括一个数据总线230和一个低速串行总线232。SDRAM控制器234和DRAM接口单元236连接到低速串行总线232。PEC控制器228连接到数据总线230。PEC控制器228还经低速接口220连接到低速串行总线232。高速接口214、PEC222和行下载装置/格式化装置单元还连接到数据总线230。
在使用中,因为PEC48从DRAM打印页带,给定的带B在可以开始打印以前经高速接口214加载进DRAM。然后,在PEC48经PEU再现带B的同时,带B+1可以加载到DRAM,同时带B+1被扩展和打印,带B+2可以被装载,并且可以如此继续。
下表中简短地说明上述的PEC的各个部件。

页扩展的第一阶段沿由CDU238/CRU24、LD250和TE254确定的一个流水线发生。CDU238扩展一个JPEG压缩的同色调(典型地CMYK)层。LBD250扩展一个压缩的双层面层(典型地K),而TE254为在较后的阶段再现(典型地用红外线墨)编码数据标签。CLBI240,SLBI252和TLBI256从此阶段起接收输出数据。
HCU248进行第二阶段。HCU248混色一个同色调层并且在得出的双层面混色的层上复合定位标签和双层面点0层。调节一个由HCU248产生的数据流以跨重叠段或者打印头芯片186产生平滑的过渡。HCU248构成得使对于发生复合的方式存在若干可提供的选择。这个阶段可以产生达六个通道的双层面数据。应当注意到不是在打印头芯片186上要有所有六个通道。例如,打印头芯片186可以只是CMY,同时K推进到CMY通道中而不用IR通道。变通地,如果得不到IR墨或者用于检测的目的,上述定位标签可以用K打印。
DNC244进行第三阶段。在此阶段,DNC244在错误地向周围的点内扩散失效喷嘴数据时补偿打印头芯片186中的失效喷嘴。
以上阶段中产生的双层面、六通道点数据(典型地CMYK-IRF)经DWU246缓冲寄存并且写出到一组存储在芯片外DRAM中的行缓冲寄存器中。
在最后阶段,从点数据DRAM加载回、对打印头格式化,并且经点FIFO(未示)传递到打印头接口226。点FIFO以pclk速度从行加载装置/格式化装置单元224接收数据,同时打印头接口226从FIFO删除数据并且以pclk/4、pclk/2或者pclk速度之一向打印头芯片186发送。
图12简单地示出内装所述分解的PEU222的PEC48。
与打印头芯片186相关联的打印长处在前文引述的申请和专利中详细说明了。然而,当用于宽打印格式时有些长处特别重要。
一个特别的长处是每个打印头芯片186大数量的喷嘴排列210。这方便了极快速的打印,在单个打印周期可以达到一个图象带。因此不必要象扫描打印头中那样使用其它打印周期以填充“漏失”点。
如上所述,PEC48提供打印头芯片必要的同步控制。而且,如可以从若干前文引述的申请和专利,例如09/113,053中清楚,打印头芯片186使得能够从模拟的打印过程转换成全数字的过程。这使得能够有相当大的灵活性和速度。打印头芯片186的数字控制借助于PEC48。PEC48数字地控制打印头芯片186的事实使得能够达到每秒216亿滴的高打印速度。特别地,不再需要独立的打印头驱动器,这是芯片186高打印速度的关键。
装入CMOS层190起把采用MEMS技术的CMOS技术综合到每个打印头芯片186上的作用。它使之至少不需要为每个喷嘴排列210有一个芯片外连接。应当理解这样的芯片外连接要求会使打印头不可靠并且对制造商来说成本过高。
与打印机10相关联的另一个重要优点是与长度比较,打印区120的宽度极小。在一个特定的示例中,打印区120可以小到0.5mm厚。应当理解,为保证在打印区产生精确的打印,需要达到经过打印区120的极稳定的纸移动。打印区120窄的宽度方便了纸22通过打印区时对纸22微小控制。
在提供相当宽的打印区的情况下,会提供经这样的打印区纸22的进一步控制。这要求真空平台之类的装置持定纸22,在纸22经打印区运动时对抗任何形式的枢转运动或者横向运动。这会大大地增加宽格式打印成本。
这高度地概括了一些为什么企图达到打印机10的打印特征时热或者泡式喷射或者压电打印头不是合乎实际的选择的原因。如前文引述的申请和专利中所指出,这样一些打印头不适用于提供用以上指出的方式达到的高密度喷嘴排列。因此,如果企图把热和压电打印头应用于宽格式打印机时,会需要有相对宽的打印区,从而会在必要的程度上发生打印头的重叠。这会直接引起上述的问题。还有,特别是用热打印头,就会需要适当的冷却系统把打印区中的温度保持在合理的水准。这会把成本提高到不可接受的程度。
为了达到对打印机在1600dpi的分辨率时的打印速度的评价,列出下面的比较表。应当注意到下表只是表示打印速度,而不是打算贬低用作比较对象的各种打印机。

Claims (10)

1.一种用于宽格式打印机的打印组件,所述打印组件包含
一个长支座,所述长支座可以安装在打印机的一个支承结构上、位于一个相对于宽格式打印机的平台的工作位置内;
若干布置在所述支座上的打印头芯片,所述打印头芯片集合了至少五万个喷嘴排列,所述打印头芯片布置得使所述打印头芯片能够向所述平台界定的打印区域中喷射墨滴;以及
一个控制电路,所述控制电路也布置在所述支座上并且构成得控制所述打印头芯片工作。
2.如权利要求1所述的打印组件,其中,所述打印头芯片集合了至少十万个喷嘴排列。
3.如权利要求2所述的打印组件,其中,所述打印头芯片集合了至少二十万个喷嘴排列。
4.如权利要求3所述的打印组件,所述打印组件包括布置在支座上的四十个至一百个之间的打印头芯片。
5.如权利要求1所述的打印组件,其中,每个打印头芯片包括一个晶片基底和一个置于所述晶片基底上的CMOS驱动电路层,同时喷嘴排列置于晶片基底和CMOS驱动电路层上。
6.如权利要求5所述的打印组件,其中,每个喷嘴排列都是一个微电机械系统,所述微电机械系统电连接到所述CMOS驱动电路层上。
7.如权利要求1所述的打印组件,其中,所述打印组件包括多个打印头模块,每个打印头模块内装一个打印头芯片,所述打印头模块安装在所述支座上。
8.如权利要求7所述的打印组件,其中,一个挠性印刷电路板安装在每个打印头模块上,并且连接在每个打印头芯片的CMOS驱动电路层与所述控制电路之间。
9.如权利要求7所述的打印组件,其中,打印头模块构成得使打印头芯片每个都以对一个延伸于打印区的一个长度的直线呈大于0度且小于九十度的共同角度布置,从而相继的打印头在其端部重叠。
10.一种宽格式打印机,所述宽格式打印机包含
一个支承结构;
一个置于所述支承结构上的打印组件,所述的打印组件包含:
一个支座,所述支座安装在一个相对于宽格式打印机的平台的工作位置内;
若干布置在所述支座上的打印头芯片,所述打印头芯片集合了至少五万个喷嘴排列,所述打印头芯片布置得使打印头芯片能够向由所述平台确定的一个打印区中喷射墨滴;和
一个控制电路,所述控制电路也布置在所述支座上并且构成得控制打印头芯片工作;以及
一个布置在所述支承结构上的介质馈给机构,用于向打印组件中馈给打印介质。
