本发明的又一个目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供用于相对涂层材料分配器而更精确地调准至少一个条材的新型条材涂布方法和系统。
本发明的又一个目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供不易于未对准的新型条材涂布方法和系统。
本发明的再一个目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供具有可调式条材导向机构的新型条材涂布方法和系统。
本发明的另一个目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供其涂层材料分配器与条材导向机构相连的新型条材涂布系统和方法。
本发明的另一个目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供其涂层材料分配器与可调节地绕基板转动的条材导向机构相连的新型条材涂布方法和系统。
本发明一个更特别的目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供新型条材涂布方法和系统,所述系统包括一个具有相对活动基板成一个角度的导向面的条材导向机构,许多移动条材并排设置在条材导向机构的导向面上,涂层材料分配器设置在这些条材附近。
本发明的另一个很特别的目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供新型条材涂布方法和系统,所述系统包括可转动地安装在支座上的涂布头、安装在涂布头上的涂层材料分配器、安装在涂布头上的条材导向机构,由此一来,通过转动涂布头,可以协调地并可调节地定位条材导向机构与涂层材料分配器。

本发明的再一个很特别的目的是在本发明的一些实施例中提供新型条材涂布系统和方法,所述方法包括:在靠近基板的条材导向机构上方彼此间隔地并排拉过许多条材;在条材导向机构下游侧从涂层材料涂布器中将涂层材料涂布到许多条材上;将其上涂有涂层材料的这些条材堆放在基板上;通过改变条材导向机构相对基板的方位来调节这些条材在基板上的间距。
当仔细地考虑了以下对本发明的具体说明和附图时,本发明的这些和其它目的、方面、特征和优点将变得更加一清二楚,为了便于理解,这些附图可能是不成比例的,其中通常用对应的数字和标记提及相同的构件和步骤。
图1是根据本发明的一个示范实施例的条材涂布系统。

在图1中,条材涂布系统包括一个把涂层材料如热熔粘结剂或雾化材料涂覆到集中由20表示的并相对其移动的至少一个条材上的涂层材料分配器10。
条材20例如可以是加工尿布、失禁护垫和医用服装所用的来卡材料或弹性橡胶。条材也可以是缆线如光纤缆或者其它需要涂布涂层材料的细长条件。
在图3中,示范性分配器10包括许多导管12(只用虚线画出了局部),导管的末端是间隔成列地设置于分配器一侧14上的对应孔。示范性分配器的这些孔分别从中向一个对准该孔的对应条材喷出对应的涂层材料流16,所述材料流可以是基本上连续的或断续的且摇摆不定的丝线或喷雾。
在图3中,在成单行地等间隔设置在分配器上的对应流体16的源区内,示意地画出了一些孔13。这些孔可以内缩或从分配器侧面14中突出来。在其它实施例中中,相邻孔之间的间距不一定是一样的。或者,可以设置一行或一列以上的且对准条材的孔,从而一个以上的孔把涂层材料涂覆到每个条材上。在其它实施例中,相邻行的孔可以是错开的。
适用于本发明的涂层材料分配器例如在其名称为“熔吹法和装置”的US5902540中以及其名称为“改进的熔吹法和系统”的US5904298中披露了。优选的示范性装置能够生产出主要是不平行于条材轴线地摇摆的丝线和喷雾图形并且对所分配的涂层材料进行精确控制。
在一个实施例中,如图3所示,涂层材料分配器10从其孔中配送出基本上连续的且具有大致成Ω形的重复图形的涂层材料17,其中只画出了一个,这与未结案的且名称为“Ω喷射图形及其方法”的美国专利申请09/143883详细描述的一样,这份专利申请与本申请同时被转让并且在此作为参考引入。
在其它实施例中,涂层材料分配器可以是具有单个孔的螺旋喷嘴,所述孔将适当的螺旋丝线分配到至少一个条材上,或者,所述涂层材料分配器可以是其它涂层材料分配装置。
在图5中,示范性的涂层材料分配器10与涂布头40相连或被安装在该涂布头上,涂布头例如通过本领域普通技术人员众所周知的喷嘴组件41把涂层材料并在一些实施例中把热空气供给涂层材料分配器。
在某些场合中,涂有涂层材料的条材粘附在或覆在一个通常与条材一起相对涂层材料分配器移动的基板上。但是,涂层材料分配器可以相对至少一个条材或任何基板移动。
具有导向面的条材导向机构最好设置在涂层材料分配器附近并优选地在其上游侧,以便引导经过涂层材料分配器的条材。所述条材通常在条材导向机构的导向面上方拉过,所述导向机构相对涂层材料分配器的对应孔调准间隔并列的条材,以便从中把涂层材料分配到条材上。
在图1的示范实施例中,条材导向机构是可转动的辊50,其条材导向面包括许多个开设于其周围的间隔槽52。条材分别安设在对应槽52内。至少一些槽的间距通常对应于分配器孔的间距。在示范实施例中,辊在涂层材料分配器的对应孔附近调准并引导条材,如图3所示。在替换实施例中,条材导向机构可以具有出槽辊外的其它结构。
条材导向机构最好相对其固定地与涂层材料分配器相连。在示范实施例中,涂层材料分配器和条材导向机构都与涂布头相连,由此消除或至少基本上减少了它们未对准的情况,例如因震动机械造成的未对准,这种未对准通常出现在其条材导向机构与除涂层材料分配器外的机械相连的现有技术装置中。
在图1、2、5中,示范的导辊50可转动地与最好带辊轴承的辊轴或轴54相连。在图1、2中,示范性导辊50通过轴肩56卡在辊轴54上,所述轴肩通过固定螺栓或其它固定件与之相连。
在图2、5中,辊轴54从可调节地与涂布头40相连的辊臂58中伸出。辊轴也最好如通过与辊臂58的螺纹口59的螺纹连接而可调节地与辊臂相连。在示范实施例中,导辊50和/或辊轴54可以沿轴54的轴向进行调节,以便相对至少一个涂层材料分配器孔来调准辊50的导槽。
在图2、5中,辊臂58可转动地通过一个从一侧伸出的转销64与导向臂62相连。导向臂62也最好是例如通过从安装其上的托架63中伸出的转销66可调节地与涂布头相连。
在图5中,导辊50可以是可调节地相对涂布头40底侧42靠近和远离地定位。导辊50也可以是可调节地定位在条材的上游和下游,靠近分配器或远离分配器。
在图5的示范实施例中,辊轴54通过穿过其尖头61的螺栓60被固定在辊臂58的开口59中,在拧紧螺栓时,所述尖头被夹紧在轴54上。导向臂62相似地被固定在转销66上,辊臂58相似地被固定在导向臂62上。在其它实施例中,导辊通过其它构件可调节地与涂布头相连。
在本发明的一些实施例中,条材导向机构可调节地安装在一个枢转件上,以便改变条材导向机构的导向面的方位,从而改变了条材相对基板的距离。涂层材料分配器最好例如通过调节涂布头的位置或方位而与条材导向机构一起进行调节,以便帮助将涂层材料涂覆到条材上。
在图3、4的示范实施例中,通过改变条材导向机构的方位来改变堆放在基板30上的条材20之间的距离。条材20所在平面大致对应于条材导向机构的导向面相对基板表面32的方位。
在图1的实施例中,条材导向机构50的带槽导向面平行于基板32表面,从而条材20所在平面也平行于基板表面32,如图3所示。因此,相对基板表面32的相邻条材之间距离大致等于条材在其上方拉过的条材导向机构上的槽的间距。在图3中,例如最外条材之间的距离为D1。
在图4中,已使条材导向机构转动,从而使其带槽导向面相对基板倾斜一个角度地定位,结果,条材所在平面相对基板有一个相同的角度。因而,相对基板表面32的相邻条材间距与基板和在其上拉过条材的条材导向机构导向面之间的角度成比例。在图4中,安放在倾斜条材导向机构上的最外条材之间距离为D2,这小于图3的间距D1。
图1、2示出了转动安装在枢轴或螺栓轴70上的涂布头40,所述枢轴或螺栓轴的轴线基本上横向于并列布置的多个孔,这允许调节涂层材料分配器和条材的方位,如图3、4所示。在图3、4中,涂层材料分配器和条材导向机构的转动轴线大致在活动基板方向上被对准,这个方向移入或移出图面。
在图1、2中,枢轴70穿过由支承件(在示范例子中是杆)支承的安装座72。在图2中,安装座72包括至少一个开设于枢轴70上的弓形槽76。螺栓77穿过对应槽76并伸入涂布头40的螺纹孔中。
螺栓77与槽76的相反端部的配合限制了涂布头40绕轴70的转动,螺栓77的头部与安装座72的连接在拧紧螺栓77时限定了涂布头40相对其的方位。
尽管本发明的上述说明书能够是本领域普通技术人员实现和利用目前被认为是最佳的本发明实施方式,但本领域普通技术人员将理解和认识到存在所述特定示范实施例的变形、组合和等同实施例。因此,不应有本发明中的示范实施例来限定本发明,而是应由所有在本发明的精神和范围内的实施例来限定本发明。

Claims (3)

1.一种条材涂布器,它包括:一个支承件;一个可转动地安装在支承件上的涂布头;一个安装在涂布头上的涂层材料分配器;一个安装在涂布头上的条材导向机构;条材导向机构与涂层材料分配器可以协调地通过使涂布头转动而可调节地定位。
2.如权利要求1所述的涂布器,其特征在于,涂层材料涂布器具有许多个并列开设于其上的孔,条材导向机构具有许多个条材导向槽,涂层材料分配器的每个孔对准了条材导向机构的对应槽。
3.如权利要求2所述的涂布器,其特征在于,涂布头通过一个枢转件可转动地与支承件相连,所述枢转件的轴线不平行于涂层材料分配器孔列。
