发明背景
例如尿布、儿童锻炼裤、成人失禁用衣物、游泳穿的等类似吸收用品通常包含至少一个与使用者直接接触的液体可透过的顶层、一个吸收芯层、和一个液体基本不可透的外覆盖材料。吸收芯置于顶层与外覆盖材料之间。当吸收用品暴露于液体污物中时,液体将通过顶层而进入吸收芯中。外覆盖层可防止吸收芯中的液体从衣物中渗出。
现在许多吸收用品都使用了透气的外覆盖材料。透气的外覆盖材料对液体是基本上不可透的,而它对于水蒸汽是可透的。透气的外覆盖材料允许水蒸汽从吸收用品中溢出,以增加衣物的舒适感、降低皮疹发病率、还可减少淤积于衣物中且受到使用者身体加热的水蒸汽所造成的其他刺激。许多当今的吸收用品具有高度透气的以最大限度地增加使用者的舒适感。
透气的吸收用品的一个缺点是:衣物外侧也就是外覆盖材料的外侧常常会有冰冷、潮湿、粘湿感觉。当吸收芯中的液态水蒸发并通过外覆盖材料时,所带来的蒸发冷却就会降低吸收芯及邻近外覆盖材料处的温度,从而使得外覆盖层会产生粘湿感。在吸收用品工业中存在有一种生产具有如下特性的吸收用品的需要或愿望:在保持低程度皮肤水化的同时可降低或避免由蒸发冷却所造成的潮湿感的具有高可透气性的吸收用品。
发明概述
本发明涉及一种包含有透气的外覆盖材料且可降低外覆盖层潮湿感的吸收用品。所述吸收用品包含至少一个液体可透顶层、一个可透气但液体基本不可透的外覆盖材料、以及一个设置于顶层与外覆盖材料之间的吸收芯层。根据本发明,所述具有低到中度透气的包含有至少一个低到中度可透气薄膜及一无纺长丝网面的薄层介于吸收芯与透气的外覆盖材料之间。所述透气的内薄层具有比透气的外覆盖材料更低的可透气性(也就是说:更低的蒸汽透过率)。优选的情况是:内薄层布置成薄膜层朝向吸收芯、其无纺网面层朝向外覆盖材料。

本发明的另一个特性及优点是保持了湿气离开皮肤的通道,也保持了可能比常规高透气的尿布更低的皮肤水化程度。
本发明的另一个特性及优点是在吸收芯与外覆盖层之间提供更干燥的空气间隙,这样可提供更好的隔离,也可降低外覆盖层的潮湿感。

名词定义
术语“透气的薄膜”、“透气层”或者“透气的外覆盖材料”是指采用本发明中所述的WVTR测试过程而测得的蒸汽透过率(WVTR)至少为约300克/平方米-24小时的薄膜、薄层或外覆盖材料。表示相对概念的术语“透气性高10%”是指第二种材料的WVTR比第一种材料的WVTR高10%。术语“更好的透气性”是指第二种材料具有比第一种材料更高的WVTR。透气材料主要是指蒸汽分子可扩散通过而液体基本上不可透的。
术语“液态水可透材料”是指一种例如薄膜、无纺织物或者开孔泡沫等有孔的一层或多层材料,由于水及其他水状液体可流过其中的孔隙,所以这些材料是可透水的。薄膜或泡沫中的孔隙、或纤维之间或无纺网中的细丝之间的空隙都足够大以使液态水可渗过或流过这些材料。

本发明优选实施例的详细描述
参见附图1,本发明中所述的吸收裤2为尿裤、小孩锻炼裤、小孩游泳穿的、成人失禁用品等类似的裤状结构。吸收裤2包含有一个具有前部5及通过中央(裆部)15与前部5相连接的后部7的废物收纳部(底架)4、还包含有两个侧部6、8,其中每个侧部在其边缘处与前部及后部相连接。侧部6包含有可延伸的布条18和20,它们沿缝30彼此相连接,它们还分别沿缝29和31与废物收纳部相连接。所述缝29、30和31都是沿纵向延伸的,且是从腰部开口10的顶端延伸到腿部开口12处。侧部8包含有可延伸的布条24和26,它们沿缝33处彼此相连接,它们还分别沿缝32和34与废物收纳部相连接。所述缝32、33和34都是沿纵向延伸的,且是从腰部开口的顶端延伸到腿部开口14处。

可采用但并不限于下述常规方法来形成纵向缝29-34:超声焊接、热连接、粘接、缝接等类似方法。超声焊接是目前优先选用的工艺。各种连接工艺并不是本发明中的高要求或专用的方法,而都是常规方法。
可采用各种弹性可延伸聚合物形成的常规的纺织或无纺材料制得可延伸侧面6和8。所述“弹性”及“可延伸”材料包括任何可伸展的、将其松开后将恢复到其原始形状的材料。合适的聚合物包括但并不限于:聚苯乙烯、聚异戊二烯及聚丁二烯的嵌段共聚物;乙烯、天然橡胶及尿烷的共聚物;以及上述这些物质的混合物。特别适合的是ShellChemical公司出售的商标为KRATON的苯乙烯-丁二烯嵌段共聚物。其他合适的聚合物还包括:乙烯共聚物,具体包括但并不限于:乙烯醋酸乙烯酯、乙烯丙烯酸甲酯、乙烯丙烯酸乙酯、乙烯丙烯酸、可伸展的乙烯丙烯共聚物、以及上述物质的混合物。前述物质的复合材料以及通过将聚丙烯、聚酯、棉及其他材料的人造短纤维复合到弹性熔喷网面中而形成的弹性体纤维复合材料也是适合的材料。某些弹性单点或茂金属催化的烯烃类聚合物及共聚物也适合用于制作侧面。可延伸侧面最好为三角形,最好从腰部开口10的顶端延伸到腿部开口12和14处。侧面也可以是由多层组成的层状物,它最好呈现出水蒸汽可透过但液体不可透过的性能。
波状层13及体侧衬里21是由具有高液体透过性的前述材料制成的。这些层的功能是使液体从使用者处转移到吸收层17处。合适的材料包括带孔纺织材料、带孔无纺材料以及带孔薄膜。可选用的材料包括但并不限于:任何弹性带孔的例如聚丙烯、聚乙烯或聚酯纤维的聚烯烃类纤维薄片;聚丙烯、聚乙烯或聚酯纤维的纺粘网面;尼龙纤维网面;合成或天然纤维或其混合物的粘接梳理网面。上述两层也可以是开孔塑料薄膜。吸收裤2的不同层的尺寸取决于使用者的尺寸及体形。
可用木桨绒毛或木桨绒毛与超吸收材料的混合物或木桨绒毛与经表面活性剂处理的热塑性塑料吸收材料的集合物来制作吸收层17。可在绒毛与超吸收材料层间或其混合物中使用例如商标为Pulpex的热粘结剂。吸收层17可以采用熔喷合成纤维絮、合成或天然纤维或混合物的粘接梳理网面、熔喷纤维复合物等类似材料。合成纤维可以是但并不限于:聚丙烯、聚乙烯、聚酯以及这些或其他聚烯烃类共聚物。
术语“超吸收”或“超吸收材料”是指一种遇水可膨胀的、不溶于水的有机或无机材料,在最理想状态下,这种材料可吸收至少约20倍于其自身重量、更好情况下可吸收至少约30倍于其自身重量的0.9%的氯化钠水溶液。超吸收材料可以是天然的、合成的以及变型的天然聚合物和材料。另外,超吸收材料可以是例如二氧化硅凝胶等无机材料、或者例如交联聚合物等有机材料。术语“交联”是指可使通常溶于水的材料变成基本上不溶于水但可膨胀的材料的任何有效方式。这种方式包括例如:物理缠结、结晶域、共价键、离子络合作用及缔合作用、例如氢键结合等亲水缔合作用、以及疏水缔合作用或范得瓦尔斯力。
合成超吸收材料聚合物的例子包括碱性金属及聚合(丙烯酸)及聚合(甲基丙烯酸)铵盐、聚合(丙烯酰胺)、聚合(乙烯基醚)、乙烯基醚α烯烃顺丁烯二酸酐、聚合(乙烯基吡咯烷酮)、聚合(乙烯基吗啉)、聚合(乙烯乙醇)、以及这些物质的混合物及共聚物。另外超吸收材料还包括以下天然及变型天然聚合物:水解丙烯腈接枝淀粉、丙烯酸接枝淀粉、甲基纤维素、脱乙酰壳多糖、羧甲基纤维素、羟丙基纤维素、以及例如藻酸盐、黄原胶、槐树豆胶等类似的天然树胶。天然与全部或部分合成超吸收聚合物的混合物也可以用于本发明中。在下述专利中公开了其他合适的吸收胶凝材料:于1975年8月26日授予Assarsson等人的第3901236号美国专利。在下述专利中公开了用于准备合成吸收胶凝聚合物的工艺过程:于1978年2月28日授予Masuda等人的第4076663号美国专利、于1981年8月25日授予Tsubakimoto等人的第4286082号美国专利。
内薄层材料50是可透过水蒸汽的。通常内薄层50具有至少约300克/平方米-24小时的采用本发明中所述测试过程而测得的WVTR值,优选的WVTR值处在约1000-5000克/平方米-24小时范围之间,更加优选的WVTR值处在约1500-4000克/平方米-24小时范围之间。外覆盖层16也是水蒸汽可透过的,它具有比内薄层50更高的可透气性。例如,如果内薄层50的WVTR值为1000克/平方米-24小时,那么外覆盖层16的WVTR值就应该至少为1001克/平方米-24小时。优选的情况是:外覆盖层16的WVTR值应该至少比内薄层50的WVTR值高约5%。更加优选的情况是:外覆盖层16的WVTR值应该至少比内薄层50的WVTR值高约10%,最优选的情况是:外覆盖层16的WVTR值应该至少比内薄层50的WVTR值高约20%。大体上,薄层的WVTR值相当于形成薄层的透气的薄膜成分的WVTR值。无纺网面结构更加开放,只要细丝之间的粘接处所占面积不大于整个无纺网面平面面积的25%,那么无纺网面结构对整体WVTR值基本上不产生影响。
外覆盖层16可由一种或多种纺织或无纺材料、薄膜、或者在无纺材料上层压有例如聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚酯或其中混合有特殊填充剂的混合物及通过伸展使之具有可透气性的注模或吹制薄膜的透气的微孔薄膜。外覆盖层16也可以是一种粘接梳理或纺粘或熔喷材料的复合物,例如纺粘-熔喷的热塑性塑料复合材料或者纺粘-熔喷-纺粘热塑性塑料材料,其中纺粘层可提供象衣物一样的纹理,而熔喷层可提供液体不透气的。可用于制作外覆盖层16的材料包括具有例如约0.4盎司每平方码或更高的基准重的无纺织物。
外覆盖层16最好包含由聚烯烃类聚合物或共聚物制得的挤压薄膜、或其他其中混合有填充剂且经延伸使之具有可透气性的热塑性塑料材料。通常外覆盖层16的长度为约12英寸至约30英寸,其宽度为约3英寸至约20英寸,这些尺寸都取决于使用者的尺寸。在附图2所示实施例中,外覆盖层16可包含有纺织或无纺布外层35及液体不可透的透气薄膜内层37,它们是采用热或超声连接或者粘接剂进行连接的。例如层35可以是聚丙烯纺粘网面。层37可以是一层通过对由一种或多种聚烯烃与特殊无机填充剂的混合物所形成的薄膜进行延伸磨薄而得到的透气微孔薄膜。
附图3表示出了本发明中所述的内薄层50的一个实施例。根据本发明所述,内薄层50是位于外覆盖层16与吸收层17之间的。内薄层50包含有可透气薄膜52和无纺纤维层54。优选的情况是:内薄层50的透气薄膜52朝向吸收层17,而无纺纤维层54朝向外覆盖层16(例如朝向附图2中所示的外覆盖层16的可透气薄膜部分37)。
可透气薄膜部分52包含至少一个微孔层58。可采用各种公知技术来形成微孔层58。微孔层58最好包含有聚合物基体62、基体内的被相对薄的限定弯曲通道的微孔膜63所包围的多个空隙64、以及一个或多个处在每个空隙64内的填充剂颗粒66。层58是带有微孔并透气的,其中空隙之间的微孔膜63是允许水蒸汽分子在薄膜层58的第一表面68到第二表面70之间进行扩散的。
可采用任何合适的薄膜成形热塑性塑料聚合物来形成聚合物基体62。合适的聚合物的例子有但并不限于:聚乙烯、聚丙烯、主体为乙烯与C3-C12-α-烯烃共聚物(公知的如线性低密度聚乙烯)、主体为丙烯与乙烯和/或C4-C12-α-烯烃共聚物、包含有在主聚丙烯链中既有无规立构又有全同立构丙烯组的以丙烯为基体的聚合物的弹性聚烯烃。其他合适的基体聚合物包括但并不限于弹性体,例如聚氨酯、共聚聚醚酯、聚酰胺聚醚嵌段共聚物、乙烯醋酸乙烯酯共聚物、具有通式A-B-A或A-B的例如(苯乙烯/乙烯-丁烯)共聚物、苯乙烯-聚(乙烯-丙烯)-苯乙烯、苯乙烯-聚(乙烯-丁烯)-苯乙烯、聚苯乙烯/聚(乙烯-丁烯)/聚苯乙烯、聚(苯乙烯/乙烯-丁烯/苯乙烯)等类似嵌段共聚物。也可采用例如在第5571619、5322728及5272236号美国专利中所描述的茂金属催化的聚烯烃,上述这几个专利所公开的内容应作为参考结合到本发明中来。
采用茂金属催化的聚合物具有很窄的分子量范围。对于茂金属催化聚合物来说,多分散性数值(Mw/Mn)可能会低于4甚至会低于2。与其他类似的齐格勒-纳塔型聚合物相比,这些聚合物也具有可控的短链分支分布。也可以利用茂金属催化系统来紧密地控制聚合物的全同规整度。
填充剂颗粒66包括任何合适的无机或有机填充剂。填充剂颗粒66优选小的以使蒸汽最大可能地透过空隙。通常,填充剂颗粒应具有平均约为0.1-7.0微米的直径、优选约为0.5-5.0微米的直径、最好约为0.8-2.0微米的直径。合适的填充剂包括但并不限于:碳酸钙、不膨胀的粘土、二氧化硅、氧化铝、硫酸钡、碳酸钠、滑石、硫酸镁、二氧化钛、沸石、硫酸铝、硅藻土、硫酸镁、碳酸镁、碳酸钡、陶土、云母、碳、氧化钙、氧化镁、氢氧化铝及聚合物颗粒。其中碳酸钙是目前优选的填充剂。线性低密度聚乙烯(齐格勒-纳塔或茂金属催化、或者是它们的混合物)是目前优选的聚合物基体材料。
填充剂颗粒66上可涂敷少量(例如可达重量的2%)的脂肪酸或其他材料以使其易于在聚合物基体中进行扩散。合适的脂肪酸包括但并不限于:硬脂酸、或例如二十二酸等更大链的脂肪酸。填充剂颗粒66在层52中的量应处在其重量约为层58重量的30-80%之间、优选在约40-70%之间、最好在约50-65%之间。类似地,聚合物基体62重量应占层58重量的约20-70%、优选约30-60%之间、最好约35-50%之间。
聚合物成分、填充剂成分、填充剂颗粒尺寸及延伸程度都是影响微孔薄膜层58的可透气性的因素。通常,微孔薄膜层58的厚度小于约50微米、优选小于约30微米、最好小于约20微米。透气的薄膜52可单向延伸到原长度的约1.1-7.0倍、优选延伸到原长度的约1.5-6.0倍、最好延伸到原长度的约2.5-5.0倍。或者可采用本领域技术人员所熟悉的常规技术来对薄膜进行双向延伸。
在附图3所示实施例中,微孔透气的薄膜层58紧临有一层或两层相对薄的外表层60以形成两或三层结构的薄膜52。设置一或两层表层可改善薄膜的可加工性,也能改善透气的薄膜52的热密封性。可采用如下技术来制得透气的薄膜52:各层注模或吹制薄膜的复合挤压、挤压涂膜、或任何常规的层压工艺。外覆盖层60中的聚合物可以与微孔层58中的聚合物相同也可不同。优选的情况的是:外覆盖层中的聚合物比微孔层58中的聚合物具有更低的软化点,以有助于改善薄膜52的热密封性。为了改善可透气性,外层60可包含有与微孔基层58大体相同数量的特殊填充剂,外层60也可以是微孔的。
而且,可选择外覆盖层60的厚度和构造,以致于基于上不会妨碍湿气透过透气薄膜52。这样,微孔层58可决定整个薄膜的可透气性。所以,外层60通常厚度小于约10微米,厚度优选小于约5微米,并优选为整个薄膜厚度的约10-25%,优选的外层聚合物包括乙烯与C3-C20-α-烯烃共聚用单体的非晶形茂金属或齐格勒-纳塔催化的弹性体共聚物,其密度约小于0.89g/cc。非晶形聚合α-烯烃(APAO)聚合物也是适合的,其可以是无规则的共聚物或是乙烯、丙烯和丁烯的三聚物,和其它基本上为非晶形或半结晶的丙烯-乙烯聚合物。还包括乙烯醋酸乙烯酯、丙烯醋酸乙烯酯、乙烯丙烯酸甲酯和上述聚合物的任何混合物。
无纺网面54可以是纺粘网面、熔喷网面、粘接梳理网面、气流成网网面、纤维素或木桨网面、或者任何其他纤维状无纺或纺织网面。优选的情况是:由热塑性塑料聚合物纤维来制得无纺网面54。用于制作无纺网面的聚合物包括:上述列出的用于透气的微孔薄膜52的聚合物、聚酰胺以及聚酯。优选使用聚烯烃来制作无纺网面54,更好的情况是使用聚乙烯或聚丙烯均聚物或共聚物来制作无纺网面54。无纺网面54应具有约0.1-4.0盎司每平方码(osy)的基准重、优选具有约0.3-2.0osy的基准重、最好具有约0.4-1.0osy的基准重。无纺网面54也可以具有多于一层无纺网面层的层压结构。例如:网面54可以具有在授予Brock等人的第4041203号美国专利中所公开的纺粘-熔喷-纺粘结构。通常,网面54具有足够高的可透气性以便于不会阻碍湿气通过薄膜52。因此,网面54通常具有开放式的结构。
可采用热压延连接、超声连接、粘接剂连接、或其他任何合适的连接技术将无纺网面54及透气的薄膜52连接到一起以形成透气的层结构54。为了保持具有低到中度的高透气性,网面54及薄膜52不应该以层间的可透气性被完全阻挡的方式进行连接。优选的情况是:网面54与薄膜52间的连接区域面积应小于它们之间重叠面积的约30%,更优选的情况是小于它们间重叠面积的约20%。
在一个优选实施例中,内薄层50及外覆盖层16均包含有连接到无纺网面上的具有多层结构的薄膜成分。例如:内薄层50及外覆盖层16各自包含有如前所述的具有两层结构的透气的薄膜52。
弹性条19每个侧边可以采用单条或者多条的形式。可采用多种弹性材料来制作弹性条19。例如可采用:利用丁二烯、异戊二烯、苯乙烯、乙烯-甲基丙烯酸酯、乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯、乙烯-乙基丙烯酸酯或其混合物的嵌段或接枝共聚物薄膜或熔喷网面。一种优选的弹性体是苯乙烯-乙基丁二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物。可用于制作弹性条19的专门材料可以是Shell Chemical公司出售的例如Kraton G-1650、Kraton G-1652、Kraton G-1657、优选Kraton G-2740X等KratonG系列产品。也可使用Kraton D系列产品,还可使用聚酯弹性体材料、聚氨酯弹性体材料及聚酰胺弹性体材料。也可采用弹性单点或茂金属催化烯烃聚合物及共聚物。也可采用以非延伸状态应用的当受到热、光或潮湿或辐射等刺激时便引起收缩和弹性变形的可激活材料来制作弹性条19。可从3M公司获得可激活弹性材料。
在使用期间,内薄层50以下述方式来工作以降低到达外覆盖层16外表面上的潮湿感。朝向吸收芯17的内薄层50的薄膜成分52可起到液体屏障的作用,这将有助于使内薄层50的无纺网面成分54(及其周围的空气)保持干爽。无纺网面54的细丝之间具有空气间隙,这可作为吸收芯17与外覆盖层16之间的充有空气的热隔离层。热隔离层中的液体或水蒸汽越少,则它的热传导性就越低。这一热隔离层可阻止大部分来自手的热量到达经冷却的吸收芯处,也就是说它可起到热沉作用。因此,当接触外覆盖层16的外表面时,会感觉到它更加干爽且更加温暖,大大降低了它冰冷、湿粘的感觉。通过设置具有比外覆盖层16更低可透气性的内薄层50,阻止外覆盖层的潮湿感。换言之,外覆盖层的构造及其可透气性控制着内薄层的构造及可透气性,以便于外覆盖层与内薄层可作为一个系统协同作用以提供可接受的潮湿感程度,同时通过使皮肤附近的湿气透过尿布来最大程度地保证皮肤健康。
薄膜52可设置在无纺网面54与吸收芯17之间。薄膜52可起到降低来自吸收芯17的湿气从尿布的溢出量。如果薄膜52是可透气的,它只能部分地降低来自吸收芯17的湿气从尿布的溢出量。不论薄膜52的可透气性如何,均保持有湿气离开皮肤的直接通道。这些通道围绕着吸收芯17从皮肤外通过无纺网面54所提供的空气间隙而从透气的外覆盖层16溢出。这样不但保持而且提高了湿气从皮肤通到外覆盖层16外的性能,这是由于减小了吸收芯17中湿气离开尿布与皮肤处湿气离开尿布之间的竟争。换言之,由于吸收芯17中更少的湿气被传送到无纺网面54所提供的空气间隙处,所以空气间隙就变得更加干燥;这样就从邻近湿度高的皮肤处的空气到湿度较低的空气间隙处就形成了更强的浓度梯度。这就会加强水分子沿着前述通道从皮肤到空气间隙的(普通的)扩散。相类似,由例如婴儿呼吸等运动所引起的传送力也会有驱使湿气离开皮肤而进入空气间隙的另外的效果。
如附图4所示,薄膜52设置在无纺网面54与吸收芯17之间。在附图4中用点划线表示出了湿气离开皮肤的通道。一些湿气扩散通过透气的薄膜52、一些围绕吸收芯17运行。点A表示邻近皮肤的高湿度区域、点B表示空气间隙处的低湿度区域。如前所述,将会加强围绕吸收芯运行的水分子沿如附图4中点划线所示的通道从皮肤到空气间隙的扩散。
在附图5所示的另一个实施例中,吸收芯17是开孔的,这将会大大增加湿气离开皮肤的通道数量。为了防止尿进入无纺网面54中的空气间隙内,薄膜52覆盖住了无纺网面54的整个内表面。薄膜52在开孔56处是具有透气的,而在邻近吸收芯17的区域内可以具有透气的、更低的透气的、或者根本不可透。而且,薄膜52具有在潮湿状态下封闭的孔。在附图5所示实施例中,孔56延伸通过吸收芯17和薄膜52。在另一个相似的实施例中,薄膜52无需开孔、只需要具有透气的。
然而在本发明的另一个实施例中,去掉了无纺网面54。薄膜52及吸收芯17均是开孔的。薄膜52可以是不可透的、也可以具有比外覆盖层16更低的透气的。无纺网面54几乎是不必要的,这是由几乎没有液体离开邻近外覆盖层区域的吸收芯17。那里有少量的蒸发冷却,从而使外覆盖层16摸起来感觉到不太粘湿。在附图6所示的本发明的实施例中,其中没有设置无纺网面54,而薄膜52及吸收芯17是开孔的。
在本发明的另一个实施例中,波状层13延伸填充在吸收层17的孔隙56中,以使波状容量最大化,同时还可使淤积在皮肤表面上的部分最少化。在附图7所表示的本发明的实施例中,波状层13延伸填充到吸收层17的孔隙56中。
在本发明的另一个实施例中,参见附图3,在内薄层52上特别是在无纺网面成分54中合并有很多气味吸收和/或湿气吸收颗粒。气味吸收颗粒包括:活性碳、沸石、粘土、小苏打、或类似物、或这些物质的混合物。湿气吸收颗粒包括:超吸收聚合物、干燥剂和/或湿润剂。或者或另外,也可使用气味和/或湿气吸收物质来对无纺网面54中的纤维进行处理。气味吸收颗粒或其他物质也可吸收湿气。使用这些物质的目的是保持无纺网面54中空气更干燥和异味减少。
水蒸汽透过率(WVTR)的测试程序
下述程序是用于测试透气的薄膜及薄层的水蒸汽透过率的。WVTR测试方法类似于下述的E-96-80标号的材料水蒸汽透过的ASTM标准测试方法。对于本发明的目的而言,从测试材料及对照标准材料CELGUARD2500(购自Hoechst Celanese公司)中切下直径为3英寸(76mm)的圆形样品。CELGUARD2500是由微孔聚丙烯制成的厚0.0025cm的薄膜。对于每种材料而言要准备两或三块样品。
用于测试的杯子是铝铸带有凸缘的2英寸深且带有机械密封及氯丁橡胶垫圈。所用杯子购自宾夕法尼亚州费城的Thwing-Albert仪器公司出售的标号为Vapometer cup #681的产品。100毫米的蒸馏水倒入各个Vapometer杯中,再将各测试及对照标准材料样品放置于各个杯子的顶部区域处。螺旋拧紧凸缘从而沿杯子边缘形成密封,而将其它的相关测试材料或对照标准材料置于62毫米直径的圆形区域上(一个开放的、面积约为30平方厘米的暴露区域),且使之暴露在周围空气中。然后将各个杯子称重,置于托盘上,放入温度设定为100°F(38℃)的加压空气烘箱中。
所用烘箱是恒温箱外部空气通过它以防止水蒸汽积聚在其内。例如伊利诺斯州Blue Island的Blue M Electric公司出售的Blue MPower-O-Matic 60烘箱就是一种合适的加压空气烘箱。24小时之后,将杯子从烘箱中取出再称重。就可用下式来计算基本的WVTR测试值:
测试WVTR=[(24小时所损失的克数)×7571]/24
烘箱内的相对湿度没有受到特殊控制。在预设100°F及周围相对湿度条件下,CELGUARD2500的WVTR值为5000克/平方米/24小时。因此,CELGUARD2500作为每次测试的对照标准样品,可以按照对照标准样品根据其已知WVTR值的误差值来对测试结果数值进行校正。
尽管这里已描述了本发明的一些优选实施例,但在不背离本发明精神和范围的前提下还可进行各种变型及改进。本发明的保护范围由所附的权利要求书来确定,而且任何等同意义及等同范围的变换也将包含在本发明所附权利要求书中。

1.一种吸收用品,包含:
液体可透过的顶层;
吸收芯层;
透气的外覆盖材料;及
包含有至少一个无纺网面及一个透气的薄膜的置于吸收芯层与透气的外覆盖材料之间的具有至少为约300克/平方米-24小时的WVTR值的内薄层;
透气的外覆盖材料的WVTR值高于内薄层的WVTR值。
2.如权利要求1所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:外覆盖层的WVTR值要比内薄层的WVTR值至少高约5%。

22.如权利要求1所述的吸收用品,还包含设置在无纺网面中的湿气和/或气味吸收物质。
23.一种吸收用品,包含:
液体可透过的顶层;
吸收芯层;
包含有至少一个层压到无纺网面上的第一透气的薄膜的内薄层,所述第一透气的薄膜的WVTR值在约1000克/平方米-24小时至约4000克/平方米-24小时之间;及
包含有至少一个层压到无纺微纤维网面上的第二透气的薄膜的透气的外覆盖层,所述第二透气的薄膜的WVTR值高于内薄层的第一透气的薄膜的WVTR值;
其中,内薄层置于吸收芯层与透气的外覆盖层之间。
24.如权利要求23所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:内薄层配置成其中内薄层的透气的薄膜朝向吸收芯。
25.如权利要求23所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:外覆盖层配置成其中外覆盖层的透气的薄膜朝向内薄层。
26.如权利要求23所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:外覆盖层的透气的薄膜与内薄层的无纺网面彼此相对。
27.一种吸收用品,包含:
液体可透过的顶层;
吸收芯层;
包含有至少一个层压到无纺网面上的透气的薄膜的透气的内薄层,所述透气的薄膜的WVTR值至少为约300克/平方米-24小时;及
包含有至少一个层到无纺网面上的透气的薄膜的透气的外覆盖层;
其中,内薄层置于吸收芯与透气的外覆盖层之间,透气的外覆盖层的WVTR值高于内薄层的WVTR值。
28.如权利要求27所述的吸收用品包括尿布。
29.如权利要求27所述的吸收用品包括锻炼裤。
30.如权利要求27所述的吸收用品包括成人失禁用衣物。
31.如权利要求27所述的吸收用品包括游泳穿吸收用品。
32.如权利要求27所述的吸收用品包括医用吸收用品。
33.一种吸收用品包含:
液体可透过的顶层;
带有孔隙的吸收芯层;
透气的外覆盖材料;和
包含有至少一个无纺网面和一个设置于吸收芯层与透气的外覆盖材料之间的薄膜的内薄层,所述内薄层具有一定的WVTR;
透气的外覆盖材料具有高于内薄层的WVTR值的WVTR值。
34.如权利要求33所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜完全覆盖住无纺网面的一侧。
35.如权利要求33所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜包含有潮湿时会封闭的孔隙。
36.如权利要求33所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜在吸收芯层的孔隙处是透气的。
37.如权利要求33所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜在邻近吸收芯层的区域内是透气的。
38.如权利要求33所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜在邻近吸收芯层的区域内是不透气的。
39.如权利要求33所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜在邻近吸收芯层的区域处的透气性低于在吸收芯层孔隙处的透气性。
40.一种吸收用品,包含:
液体可透过的顶层;
吸收芯层;
透气的外覆盖材料;及
包含有置于吸收芯层与透气的外覆盖材料之间的薄膜的内薄层;
其中,薄膜及吸收芯层均有孔隙。
41.如权利要求40所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜的透气性低于外覆盖材料的透气性。
42.如权利要求40所述的吸收用品,其特征在于:薄膜是不透气的。
43.如权利要求40所述的吸收用品,还包含一设置在顶层与内薄层之间的波状层,其中波状层延伸进入吸收芯层的孔隙中。
