背景技术
全世界范围内,成千上万的用户在使用当朋友、家庭和同事在线时能够通知他们的软件用作实时的消息交换。这类实时交换的通常使用的术语是即时传信。即时传信很便宜,大多数卖主分送该产品,其它的收取正常的注册费。同时它是强大的,允许用户在一个窗口通信,同时例如在另一个窗口浏览一个文件。在不同地方的工作组成员可以建立重要的会谈,发表观点和互相谋略。它提供了快速和直接的协作,很少要买什么和建太多东西。
最有名的即时系统是最初被设计作为AOL的付费服务的一个特点的美国在线的Instant Messenger(AIM)。AIM是一种只要有Internet连接的任何人都能下载的软件,不管他们是否是AOL成员。在注册一个屏幕名字后,用户可以保持AOL成员和其它AIM用户的列表,并且无论何时列表中的这些人中的一个上线,都会被告知。当列表中的这些人中的一个上线时,相应的屏幕名字出现在屏幕上的一个AIM界面窗口中。通过点击AIM界面窗口中出现的名字,之后用户可以发送一个即时消息并发起一次会谈通话。用户同时可以将他们的伙伴分成组。例如,一个律师可以为同伴、合伙人、内部辩护人和对手创建各自的组。

具体实施方式
本发明是一种集成的无线和传统的即时传信的系统和方法。如图1所示,系统20包括一个包括一个路由服务器24和一个用于存贮每个预订用户简表的数据库26的即时消息路由系统22。每个用户简表包括一个其中每个名字分配一个地址(电话号码)的即时消息名的列表。路由服务器24与一个或多个与一个或多个无线移动载波34通信的短信服务中心(SMSC)32通信。每个无线移动载波34支持操作移动单元装置36,例如手持蜂窝电话,背包电话或车载电话的预订用户。路由服务器24同时连到一个公共或私人数据网络30上,例如Internet。同时连到公共或私人数据网络30上的是一个即时消息服务器40和一个或多个传统系统42,例如个人计算机。

一种数据运载协议定义了在移动单元装置36、移动载波34和短信服务中心32之间通信的数据消息的结构。被作为欧洲主要的数字无线标准的全球移动通信系统(GSM)环境,使用短信服务(SMS)标准数据运载协议用于在移动单元装置36、无线移动载波34和短信服务中心32之间传递的格式化数据。SMS协议描述了被称作SMS包的在系统中发送或接收的数据的格式。遵照本发明,从移动单元装置发出的数据消息的格式,即SMS包,包括移动单元装置的电话号码,目的地电话号码,短信服务中心地址(最好是一个号码),一个有效性周期值和消息内容。有效性周期值通知短信服务中心32试图传递多长时间。每个数据消息(SMS包)最好是一个单个的信息块。如在无线通信领域的那些熟练人员所容易理解的,SMS包可被分成多个数据包并以不同间隔发送。
图2示意一种用于为蜂窝电话远程建立一个即时消息名的列表的方法。首先,一个预订到即时消息服务的用户使用连到网络30的一个传统系统42来登录到由路由服务器24支持或产生的一个网址上。用户通过完成可在与服务器24或40在线通信期间执行的或通过其它途径,例如e-mail,传统邮件或电话通信执行的一个注册过程后,成为一个预订者。一旦用户通过最好是用密码确认来完成注册或登陆进入路由服务器的网址,用户开始用于用户的移动单元装置36的即时消息名列表(即伙伴列表)的创建。判决块50中,如果蜂窝电话用户知道对应于一个期望的接受者的即时消息名,用户输入即时消息名。在方框52中,输入的即时消息名之后被存贮在数据库26中一个位置的查找表中。查找表根据预定义的用户简表信息来存贮。存贮在查找表中的每个即时消息名有一个对应的目的地地址,最好是一个电话号码。例如,路由服务器24从移动载波34或一个电信控制代理处接收一套n个电话号码。在用于每个用户简表的数据库26中,服务器24从n个电话号码的集合中选一个号码与输入的即时消息名相关联。结果,路由系统22复用了有限个电话号码。

在判决方框62中,如果用户不希望输入更多的即时消息名,在方框68中,管理名字列表创建的网址的服务器产生一个程序用于把创建的即时消息名列表编程到用户的移动单元装置36中去。下面,在方框70中,产生的程序通过短信服务中心32发送,在那里它根据合适的协议被格式化,之后通过移动载波34发送到用户移动单元装置36。在方框72中,用户移动单元装置36接收和执行程序,从而将即时消息名列表保存到存贮在内存中的地址簿中。换言之,移动单元装置被以空中编程的方式被编程,从而在移动单元装置的即时消息列表(即地址本)中包括即时消息名的列表。
在另外的优选实施例中,如果移动载波34和对应的移动单元装置36不包含用于接收和执行装载保存的即时消息名列表的程序的硬件和软件部分,即时消息名的加载和存贮在路由系统22中的对应的电话号码被手动输入到用户的移动单元装置36的地址本中。

如果接受者登录了,在方框110中,即时消息路由服务器24通过即时消息服务器40经网络30发送即时消息给接受者。发送一个即时消息给移动单元装置的接受者的过程在下面的图6和7中更详细地进行描述。

图11表示作为示例的地址本的第二个用户界面屏幕236。第二个用户界面屏幕236表示由下面的即时消息操作所占据的地址本的位置:更新接受者(即时消息名或伙伴)可获得性;删除一个接受者;结束;登录。当用户用任何必须的预先定义的消息内容选择并发送更新接受者可获得性(“伙伴”)操作给即时消息路由服务器24时,即时消息路由服务器24检查接受者的可获得性(在存贮的即时消息名列表中的即时消息名)并把结果发回给移动单元装置230。图12表示在移动单元装置230的显示器上的执行的接受者更新的结果。在显示区域238中,接受者Emma972和Gomer22被指示为在线(即登录到即时消息系统)。Richard53,tom235和zebra98被指示为离线(即从即时消息系统退出)。
当用户用消息内容中的接受者的即时消息名选择并发送“删除”接受者的操作给即时消息路由服务器24时,即时消息路由服务器24从存贮在数据库22中的用户的即时消息名列表中删除所包括的即时消息名。对“离线”操作的选择命令即时消息路由服务器24终止与用户相关联的即时消息通话。对“在线”操作的选择命令即时消息路由服务器24根据作为消息内容发送到即时消息路由服务器24的屏幕名字和密码信息发起一次即时消息通话,见图13。“登录”操作的消息内容可保存在移动单元装置中并且可再用于随后的在线请求。另外地,即时消息路由服务器24存贮用户的即时消息屏幕名和密码和用户的移动单元装置36的电话号码来辅助自动化登录。
图14表示一个接收的消息如何在移动单元装置230上显示。接收的消息的消息内容显示为接收的消息的发起者的即时消息名。
如本领域的熟练人员所容易理解的,由路由系统22所执行的操作可以与即时消息服务器40或短信服务中心32合并。短信服务中心40可包含在移动载波基础设施中。同时,本发明的组成的操作可分配给经一个或多个被包含的网络中的多个服务器。
尽管已示意和描述了本发明的已有的优选实施例,在不偏离本发明的精神和范围的前提下,还是可以对其作各种改进。

Claims (18)

1、一种用于即时消息通信的方法,该方法包含:
在具有与连到即时消息系统的无线环境部件的无线通信中,从一个移动单元装置发送一个即时消息,所述消息包括一个目的地地址,与移动单元装置的用户相关联的信息,消息内容和消息地址;
根据先前存贮的用于即时消息系统中的移动单元装置的用户的信息,
如果目的地地址与一个即时消息操作相关联,并且如果被要求由相关联的即时消息操作确定,使用包含在消息内容中的信息执行即时消息系统中的相关联的即时消息操作;并且
如果目的地地址与一个即时消息名相关联,则创建一个包含消息内容的即时消息并把创建的即时消息发送给相关联的即时消息名。
2、如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,如果所述的即时消息操作是一个登录操作,则根据预先存贮的用户简表信息和消息内容发起一个即时消息通话。
3、如权利要求2的方法,其特征在于,消息内容是一个与移动单元装置的用户相关联的即时消息名和一个预先定义的密码。
4、如权利要求1的方法,进一步包含:
确定与在即时消息系统中为移动单元装置的用户存贮的即时消息名相关联的用户的状态信息;
发送确定的状态信息给用户的移动单元装置;并且
在用户的移动单元装置显示发送的状态信息。
5、如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,如果所述的即时消息操作是一个结束的操作,那么终止与移动单元装置的用户相关联的即时消息通话。
6、如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,如果所述的即时消息操作是一个删除即时消息名的操作,那么根据消息内容删除至少一个存贮的即时消息名。
7、如权利要求6的方法,其特征在于,消息内容至少是一个即时消息名。
8、如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,如果所述的即时消息操作是一个更新即时消息名的操作,确定与在即时消息系统中为移动单元装置的用户存贮的即时消息名相关联的用户的状态信息,发送确定的状态信息给用户的移动单元装置并且在用户的移动单元装置显示发送的状态信息。
9、如权利要求1的方法,进一步包含:
在即时消息系统中,把一个即时消息名与一个目的地地址相关联;
根据移动单元装置的一个注册的用户,把这种关联保存在即时消息系统的内存中;
根据保存的关联产生一个可执行的地址加载程序;
通过无线环境发送产生的可执行的地址加载程序给注册的用户的移动单元装置;并且
通过执行发送的可执行的地址加载程序,把相关联的即时消息名和地址输入到注册的用户的移动单元装置的内存中。
10、如权利要求1的方法,进一步包含:
在即时消息系统中,把一个即时消息名与一个目的地地址相关联;
根据移动单元装置的一个注册的用户,把这种关联保存在即时消息系统的内存中;并且
把相关联的即时消息名和地址输入到注册的用户的移动单元装置的内存中。
11、如权利要求1的方法,进一步包含:
为通过移动单元装置登录的用户接收一个即时消息;
根据存贮的用户信息处理接收的即时消息并通过无线环境发送处理过的即时消息给用户的移动单元装置;并且
在用户的移动单元装置上显示发送的即时消息和即时消息的创建者的即时消息名。
12、一种用于在连到无线网络的至少一个移动单元装置和连到公共数据网的基于计算机的装置之间,发送和接收即时消息的系统,该系统包括:
包含大量用户简表的一个数据库,大量用户简表中的每一个包含用户确认信息和至少一个即时消息名或分配给一个目的地地址的一个即时消息操作;
与至少一个移动单元装置通信的移动载波和用于从移动单元装置接收即时消息信号和根据消息内容处理即时消息信号的所述路由服务器,所述的接收的即时消息信号包含一个目的地地址,与移动单元装置的用户相关联的信息,消息内容和消息地址;并且
连到数据库用于接收来自移动载波的处理过的即时消息信号的路由服务器;
如果目的地地址被分配一个即时消息操作,并且如果被要求由即时消息操作确定,根据包含在消息内容中的信息,通过公共数据网由即时消息服务器执行分配的即时消息操作;
如果目的地地址被分配一个即时消息名,创建一个包含用于传递到指定的即时消息名的消息内容的即时消息,并通过即时消息服务器发送创建的即时消息给与即时消息名相关联的用户。
13、如权利要求12的系统,其特征在于,所述的移动载波包含一个用于在无线协议和消息传递协议之间转换信息的短信服务中心。
14、如权利要求12的系统,其特征在于,所述的路由服务器从即时消息系统接收用于通过移动单元装置注册的用户的即时消息,根据存贮在即时消息系统中的用户信息处理接收的即时消息,并通过无线环境发送处理过的即时消息给用户的移动单元装置,并在用户的移动单元装置上显示发送的即时消息和即时消息的创建者的即时消息名。
15、在一个基于计算机的服务器上实现的计算机程序产品,所述的数据结构包含:
用于存贮一个或多个即时消息名或即时消息操作的第一部分,一个或多个即时消息名或即时消息操作的每一个被分配了一个地址,该地址是分配给预订移动单元装置的用户的地址列表中的一个;
用于接收由移动单元装置发起的带地址的即时消息请求的第二部分;和
用于识别存贮的即时消息名或与接收的即时消息请求的地址相关联的即时消息操作的第三部分;
16、如权利要求15的计算机程序产品,进一步包含如果地址被分配给一个即时消息名,用于产生一个即时消息的第四部分。
17、如权利要求15的计算机程序产品,进一步包含如果地址被分配给一个即时消息操作,用于执行即时消息操作的第五部分。
18、如权利要求15的计算机程序产品,进一步包含用于为移动单元装置的用户接收即时消息和根据包含在接收的即时消息中的即时消息名发送即时消息给用户的移动单元装置的第六部分。
