技术领域

背景技术

已知的人造草皮还具有较差的使用性能。由于圆浑的微粒被认为可较少压实并造成较少磨耗,当用棱角少的、圆浑的砂粒填充时,草皮又会变得过于滑溜,特别是当扁带只是略为比微粒层的厚度长一些时。而且间距紧密的细扁带,如果被穿透时,能紧紧地抓住防滑鞋钉并且不像天然草h皮那样容易撕裂,因此拔出防滑鞋钉(cleat)就比较困难,所以在人造草皮上比赛要比在天然草皮上比赛来得困难和危险。如果一个运动员的防滑鞋钉不能容易地被拔出,他就会被伤及腿、踝或膝。还曾发现这样的情况,如果运动员的防滑鞋钉穿透到一条缝区内,那么该鞋更不容易被拔出或在其内转动。
已知的具有紧密间距的成列扁带的人造草皮比起天然草皮来还会使在其上滚动的球的速度增加。对滚动球来说,紧密间距的扁带造成一个近乎固体的、低阻力的表面,这会有害地影响草皮的使用质量。如果该草皮采用具有弹性的基垫,那么球将回跳得比在天然草皮上高,这样就会微妙地改变比赛的性质。对网球运动员来说,低阻力表面还会使它更为滑溜。

按照本发明发现,采用较宽间距的成列扁带能够得到改进的人造草皮。扁带列的较宽间距可减少列间距较密时通常会发生的填充物的压实,这样便可延长与弹性有关的草皮的使用寿命。压实的减少还可确保较好的排水。较宽列间距应该还可确保扁带的较少消耗和磨损,从而可延长草皮的使用寿命并减少能影响压实和排水的扁带废弃物的形成。较宽列间距还可使防滑鞋钉较好地插入并较容易地拔出,这样便可改进使用质量并减少受伤害的危险。较宽的扁带列间距还可使球在人造草皮上的滚动更像在天然草皮上的滚动,从而可提高使用质量。较宽的扁带列间距还可使正要开始被压实的材料容易被疏松、清理或更换。较宽扁带列间距还可使运动员接触草皮时减少被擦伤。较宽扁带列间距能使草皮较易接合。
按照本发明还曾发现,使扁带具有约为扁带列间距两倍长度便可得到改进的人造草皮。本发明采用的扁带要比现在采用的扁带长得多。较长的扁带允许使用较厚的微粒材料填充层,这样便可不需弹性垫层并使草皮的安装更为简单和便宜。较厚的微粒材料或填充物层由于水在人造草皮上造成的较高的水头可促使排水较好地进行。最好,微粒材料层的厚度至少为扁带长度的三分之二。对某些运动草皮来说,较长的扁带还可在填充物之上提供较多的扁带材料,造成更逼真的、类似天然草皮的场地,与较宽的扁带列间距结合使防滑鞋钉不仅可插入到草皮内以便附着并且容易拔出。运动员的防滑鞋钉可使扁带和填充材料向侧边移动因而较易拔出。

深冷磨碎的橡胶意为用深冷磨碎橡胶的方法从废旧轮胎磨削橡胶而制成的橡胶微粒。在冷冻时将橡胶破碎得出的橡胶微粒可具有比较光滑的表面而不是像非深冷磨碎的橡胶那样粗糙。
本发明还涉及一种制造人造草皮的方法,该方法包括下列步骤:在一多孔的承垫件上将合成材料的扁带制成一丛一丛的扁带簇并排列成多条间隔开的列,并将间隔开的涂敷材料扁条敷设在承垫件的背面。每一列扁带用一个涂敷材料扁条覆盖以资将扁带粘结在承垫件上。涂敷材料扁条被互相间隔开,从而在其间留出承垫件的未被覆盖的狭长区域借以促进水的排放。
本发明还特别涉及一种将涂敷材料敷设到承垫件背面的装置,在该承垫件上植有成列的合成材料扁带,使它们从后面穿出制成形如青草叶片的扁带簇。该装置有一支承台用来支承承垫件使它沿纵向在台上移动,另有一个高架在台上的梳状装置,其上设有间隔开的指状件,其定位使它能覆盖承垫件上在扁带列间的区域。每一指状件位于两个相邻扁带列之间。当承垫件在梳状装置下的支承台上移动越过时,另有装置可将涂敷材料横跨其宽度敷设在承垫件的背面。其时在涂敷站附近有一刮板可用来将涂敷材料展开并抵压在指状件之间的承垫件上形成扁条,每一扁条覆盖一列扁带,从而可将多列扁带粘结在承垫件上而将承垫件上不覆盖的区域留出。

实施本发明的方式
如图1所示的本发明的人造草皮1具有一片薄而柔韧的承垫件3,其上设有从承垫件3向上突起的、多条平行的、由扁带7组成的列5,在承垫件3上还填充有一个较厚的微粒材料层9,支承着扁带7使它在承垫件3上处在一个相对直立的位置上。
柔韧的承垫件3如图所示,可具有两个承垫层11、13。底层11可以是一个织造的织物或针刺多孔的聚丙烯织物,顶层13也可以是一个织造的织物或针刺多孔的聚丙烯织物。塑料扁条或扁带7如图2所示通过承垫件3的两个承垫层而被制成簇状。
虽然所示承垫件3具有两个承垫层,但也可由一层或多层构成。承垫件3中的一层或多层可以是针刺的织物以便提供较好的排水性,如果只用一个单层,那么织物应该厚一些。承垫件3中至少有一层11可以是针刺带绒毛的合成纤维(flw)15,如图2所示,以便通过该层提供吸取水分的手段。带绒毛的纤维还可改善草皮的排水。
扁带7可由合适的合成塑料制出,它被挤压成较宽而薄的扁条。较适宜的塑料为聚乙烯,它质地柔软并具有良好的抗磨性。但在制造扁带时聚丙烯也可使用。扁条的宽度可从0.635cm到2.54cm,但最好在1.27cm左右。扁带的厚度可从65微米到150微米。从挤压出的扁条上分割而成的扁带7被固紧在承垫件3上制成簇状,排列成多条平行的列5。每2.54cm长度的列可制出2到8簇,但最好为4簇。扁条被用机械方法原纤化或分裂成约为0.3175cm或更多。
在扁条制造过程中用机械方法原纤化所提供的扁带好像一个发网,即所造成的纤维是互相连结的。
扁带列之间的间距取决于要在场地上进行的活动。例如,装在不同运动的运动员鞋上的防滑鞋钉的间距平均约为1.905cm。橄榄球或足球防滑鞋的防滑鞋钉间距可比垒球防滑鞋钉宽些。扁带列的间距与要在场地上进行的运动的型式有关并且取决于运动员鞋上防滑鞋钉的间距。与此类似,在如同赛马那样的运动中,应该考虑在扁带列之间需要有宽得多的间距以便适应马的较宽的马蹄。这样,对赛马而言,在扁带行列之间需要有宽达5.715cm的间距,并且相应具有长达12.70cm的较长的扁带。
最好有至少为1.27cm宽的较宽的扁带,因为较宽的扁带不像较窄的扁带那样容易卷曲并能较好地抗拒磨耗和磨损。较宽的扁带7在顶端躺倒时还可覆盖更多的微粒材料而将填充材料拦住,如图2所示。至少在微粒材料层9之上的扁带7的自由端被原纤化以便提供外观较密的簇绒。一旦人造草皮被安装,填充物被安放,扁带的端头还可进一步用钢刷或其他机械的原纤化装置使它原纤化。
还可考虑按照扁带的厚度混合配置扁带。例如,根据所需场地的型式,如果需要一个场地在其上球能比其他场地滚动得慢一些,那么可用较硬的扁带和较软的扁带混合起来。相对地说,较硬的扁带趋于具有较大的记忆性,因此能使扁带返回到直立位置。这种混合物的例子可为一条较厚的扁带,具有11,000旦的纤度和约100到120微米的厚度,一条较软的扁带只有5,700旦的纤度和80微米的厚度。较硬的和较软的扁带的任何一种组合将由运动场地的具体要求确定。硬扁带对软扁带的比率可以是1∶1。软扁带和硬扁带可交错排列或者都是同一簇绒的一个部分。
按照本发明,扁带7的列5被间隔开一个距离A,该距离为1.588cm和5.715cm之间。列间距取决于草皮的最终用途。较小的间距适用于身体活动较少的草皮如高尔夫球场,而较大的间隔适用于身体活动较多的场合如赛马场。
在扁带列之间保持较宽的间距有好几个优点。宽间距可使草皮不容易被压实。草皮的排水可改善。宽间距可减少扁带所需的材料量,还可提高草皮的使用质量。运动员在草皮上运动时能够得到较好的附着摩擦力,因为运动员的防滑鞋钉能够较好地插入到扁带列间的微粒材料内,同时还能较好地从其中拔出,因为在扁带列之间具有较多空间,在拔出时能使微粒材料移动。宽间距还可使微粒材料较易被疏松、清洁甚至更换。由于行列间具有较大空间,因此可将气动杆(air wand)插入到微粒材料内,温和地使它疏松,并略为使它升起。被疏松和升起的材料可被收集、清除脏物和垃圾并返回放置到承垫件上。这样草皮的使用寿命便可延长,更换费用也可降低。宽间距还可使相邻的草皮部较易地接合在一起,不会造成庞大的接缝,因为设有较多的空间供接缝使用。
扁带的长度也是本发明的一个重要特征。扁带7的长度“L”,即从承垫件3到扁带自由端17的距离,至少应为扁带行列5的间距“A”的两倍并且最好为间距“A”的三到六倍。扁带的长度“L”从1.905cm到12.70cm,其中较短的扁带用于具有列间距较小的草皮上,而较大的扁带用于较大的列间距上。与现有技术相比,本发明使用的扁带要长得多,因此可以采用较厚的填充层9,这样便可提供一个更富弹性的草皮而可不需下垫层,从而下垫层的费用包括安装在内都可省去。较厚的填充层9由于造成高水位,从而造成草皮顶面水的高压力水头,因此可促使水更好地排放。较长的扁带还可在较厚的填充层之上提供较多的自由扁带,该自由扁带可给运动员提供较多的保护,防止砂和其他微粒材料对倒在草皮表面上的运动员造成伤害,并可减少磨损。在所有地方扁带都可在填充物之上突起0.635cm到2.54cm。填充层的厚度可从2.54cm到10.16cm,取决于草皮的最终用途。填充层一般具有厚度“T”,该厚度约为扁带长度“L”的三分之二。
微粒材料层9最好为硬质砂如石英砂和深冷磨碎橡胶的混合物。深冷磨碎橡胶较为适宜因为其微粒较圆可减少磨损并减少压实。棱角较少的微粒较易润湿从而有助于排水。另外如果草皮被淹,这种微粒不易飘开,因为微细的空气泡不容易沾在圆浑的微粒上面。微粒的大小可从筛号(每平方英寸孔眼数)4到筛号70。但对要考虑运动员接触草皮时的擦伤的运动草皮来说,筛号最好在15和30之间,而当不需考虑擦伤时筛号可在4和30之间。石英砂可用筛选的小石子、硬而重的颗粒塑料或其他硬质砂石替代。深冷磨碎橡胶可用其他弹性材料如软木、苯乙烯、epdm橡胶、聚氯丁橡胶或其他类似材料替代,但微粒的形状要与深冷磨碎橡胶相当。在某些情况下,部分或所有弹性材料可用其他材料替代以便完成特定的功能。例如采用珍珠岩来替代弹性材料以便减少压实并可能吸收水分。
砂和弹性材料的混合比可根据草皮的最终用途变化。如果需要较多弹性,那么可多用些橡胶。在较厚的草皮内微粒材料层9可划分成亚层,如图2所示,以具有较小微粒的下面的亚层17靠近承垫件3,而上面的亚层19则具有较大的微粒,这样来促进良好的排水。其时在下面亚层17内的微粒可以主要是筛号约从40到70的砂石,而在上面亚层19内可以是砂和橡胶颗粒结合的较大的颗粒。在下层内主要或者只是采用砂子可降低草皮的成本。
草皮1的制造是用扁带7成簇地通过承垫件3连结在其上制成列5,间距为1.588cm到5.715cm之间,在每一列中每2.54cm长度可有2到8个扁带簇。一旦扁带7成簇到位,就可在承垫件3的背侧涂敷以便将扁带粘结在承垫件上。整个承垫件都可被涂敷。
但最好,如同本发明的一个采用多孔承垫件的实施例,承垫件只是部分被涂敷以便得到良好的排水并降低成本。按照这个实施例,在扁带7成簇到位后,可将承垫件3的上侧倒向下方,使它移动通过任何一种标准的毡层涂布机。在图3、4、5和6中概略地示出的涂布机31具有一块支承板33,在草皮1通过涂布机时用来支承草皮1的起簇的承垫件3。设有未示出的装置可使承垫件3越过支承板33从一侧移动到另一侧,如图3中的箭头34所示。当承垫件3这样移动时,它在一个梳状装置35的下面通过,该装置具有一排平行的指状件37搁置在承垫件3底部的顶面上面抵压在支承板33上。这些指状件37之间的间距可调节,并被调节为在承垫件3上的每一对相邻扁带列5之间都有一个指状件被放置着。有一刮板39位在指状件37之上向指状件37的前方倾斜。正好在刮板39的前方设有一个涂敷器40用来将涂敷材料“M”横跨宽度地施加在梳状装置35上。当承垫件3在装置35之下向右移动如图3所示时,涂敷材料“M”被它挟带移到刮板39上,在那里涂敷材料被分布并敷设在承垫件3上来被指状件37覆盖的狭长区域41上。这些区域41含有扁带列5,于是在这些列中的扁带端头被涂敷材料“M”覆盖而将扁带7粘结在承垫件3上。指状件37用来防止涂敷材料“M”覆盖与扁带列5邻近的承垫件3上的狭长区域43。当承垫件3继续移动而从指状件37下离开时,如图7所示,在承垫件3的背面就有涂敷材料“M”的扁条45覆盖在扁带列5上,但承垫件3上的相邻区域43由于指状件而没有被覆盖,因此可提供一个极其多孔、容易排水的草皮。被涂布机敷设的涂敷材料与涂敷整个承垫件相比在数量上要少得多,因此可以额外地节省材料并使草皮的成本降低。
虽然上面说明了将涂层成为条状地敷设在扁带列上的一种方式,但涂层也可用其他方式敷设。例如可用一系列的喷嘴将线条状的涂敷材料敷设在扁带列上并用刮板将在垫层背面的线条状的涂敷材料刮平,这样也可在承垫件上留出较宽的、未被涂敷的狭长区域,从而能使排水容易。另外,具有不同直径的涂敷辊也可用来敷设涂层。
按照本发明另一个实施例,用来标出运动区域的标记线可在草皮内制出,只要将草皮区段的相邻边用特定的接缝连结起来即可。如图8所示,有一接缝区带51被放置在分别要被连结的两个相邻的草皮区段57、59的、邻近但被间隔开的边缘53、55的下面。接缝区带51在其中央区段65设有成簇扁带63组成的列61,但在其宽阔侧边区段67、69上则没有扁带。中央区段65位在两个草皮区段57、59的边缘53、55之间,并且在中央区段65内的成簇扁带63可具有与草皮区段57、59内的扁带7′不同的颜色及/或不同的高度,从而形成一条可用来标出运动场地的线71。接缝区带51的宽阔侧边区段67、69可用针刺方法制成带绒毛的织物。胶粘剂“A”被涂敷在宽阔侧边区段67、69的顶面上以便与叠置的草皮区段57、59粘合。带绒毛的织物可增强接缝区带51用胶粘剂与草皮区段57、59的连结。接缝区带51可在其背面正好在中央区段65的下面用涂敷材料“M”涂敷,但最好侧边区段67、69也同样涂敷。这样可防止用在接缝内的胶粘剂“A”通过区带51泄漏而可能粘结到地层上。当区带51被连结到草皮区段57、59上而将它们接合在一起时,如图9所示,扁带63由于其与草皮区段57、59内扁带7′不同的外观,便形成一条标记线71。
在本发明的另一个实施例中,草皮可用长的扁带,至少为11.43cm长,并且微粒层的厚度可与扁带的长度相同。这个草皮可被用作生长的草皮。微粒材料可以采用那些能促进作物生长的材料,如同能给植物保持水分的材料,和允许强大的植物根部发展的材料。这些促进材料可在微粒层中形成一个或多个亚层。在某些情况下,这些促进材料可具有一个比水小的比重,将这些材料放置在顶层下面的底部亚层内可确保它们不被水带走而停留在位。这种草皮对荒芜的地域特别有用。灌溉管可直接铺设在微粒材料层内。承垫层多孔性可被设计成将水分保留在材料内借以促进植物的生长。在多风的地域内扁带的存在将会减少可能会被吹走的微粒材料的数量。
采用高绒头的扁带和厚的微粒材料层并具有深冷磨碎橡胶的运动场地可被利用来支持天然草的种植,其时草根可延伸到微粒材料内。

Claims (6)

1.一种人造草皮,具有柔韧的承垫件和代表青草叶片的合成扁带的多条平行的列,所述扁带从承垫件向上伸出,所述人造草皮包括在承垫件上的一层微粒材料,其用来支撑所述扁带、使其相对于承垫件处于相对直立的位置,其特征在于,所述扁带与刚性的扁带和柔性扁带混合,以便根据预定的场地要求提供一种特定的表面结构。
2.按照权利要求1的人造草皮,其特征为,刚性扁带与柔性扁带的比例为1∶1。
3.按照权利要求2的人造草皮,其特征为,刚性和柔性的扁带可交错设置。
4.按照权利要求1的人造草皮,其特征为,扁带簇内可具有柔性的  和刚性的扁带部分。
5.按照权利要求1的人造草皮,其特征为,刚性的扁带具有至少11,000旦的纤度和100微米的厚度,而柔性的扁带具有至少为5,600旦到10,000旦的纤度和80微米的厚度。
6.按照权利要求1的人造草皮,其特征为,所述扁带与刚性的扁带和柔性扁带混合,以便为预定的运动场地提供一种特定的表面结构。
