技术领域
本发明涉及一种台锯,特别是一种具有用于锯片的改进的缩回系统的台锯。
背景技术
台锯是一种用于切割木质、塑料和其它材料的工件的木工机械。台锯包括扁平面或向上延伸通过工作台中的槽的圆形锯片的台面。使用者使工件在工作台上靠向锯片滑动且滑过锯片,同时锯片旋转,以切割工件。需要提供一种可响应于一种或多种情况的探测结果而缩回锯片的系统。
发明内容
根据本发明,具有用于切割工件的切割区域的台锯包括在切割区域中驱动可移动的切割工具来切割工件的马达、含有逻辑控制器的控制系统、适合在人体和切割工具之间探测一种或多种情况的探测系统、以及与探测系统和切割工具结合的反应系统,其中反应系统构造成至少部分远离切割区域来缩回切割工具,并且通过探测系统探测的至少一种情况下,使驱动切割工具的马达与切割工具脱开。马达按所需要的方式间接驱动切割工具,以便从切割区域缩回切割工具的时间可以减少。另外,通过提供间接驱动切割工具,切割工具的驱动接合可以在切割工具缩回时中断。

具体实施方式
现在参考图1,示出了一种类型的台锯10,其包括支撑框架20,工作台24安装在所述支撑框架20上。与传统的一样,台锯10具有切割组件130,其包括马达140和由马达140驱动的切割工具150(参见图3)。工作台24具有大致细长的矩形开口26,切割工具或锯片150通过所述矩形开口26伸出。工作台24也可以具有锯片防护罩28,其根据需要由透明的塑料材料制成,用于覆盖锯片150的暴露部分。锯片调节机构或手柄30安装到支撑框架20的前面。锯片调节机构30可以改变锯片150在工作台24表面上方的凸起程度,并且相对于工作台24的表面改变锯片150的倾斜度。
为了易于参考但不是限制所述权利要求的范围,本发明将结合图1示出的这种类型的台锯10进行描述。但是,能够想到:本发明的特征将同等地可应用于图2所示的台锯10的“压力机”(contractor)类型。这种类型的台锯10包括工作台24,锯片150从工作台下面经过开口26延伸通过所述工作台24。工作台24和锯片150通过框架20和腿22支撑。框架20包围着支撑、定位和驱动锯片150的机构。用于驱动锯片150的马达140能够定位在框架20内或其外侧。使用锯片调节机构,如手柄30来调节锯片150相对于工作台24的位置,如锯片150在工作台24上方延伸的高度或者锯片150相对于工作台24的顶部倾斜的程度。
现在参考图3,其示出了本发明示意性的台锯10。台锯10包括电源32、切割系统130和控制系统40。所述控制系统40包括探测子系统50、逻辑控制器60和反应子系统70。所述探测系统50适合探测一种或多种情况,如人体部分和切割工具150之间的接近程度。所述探测系统50可以适合探测当人体或其一部分,如手接近开口26或锯片防护罩28时的情况。当探测系统40探测一种或多种情况时,控制系统40构造成将锯片150从延伸在工作台24的顶部上方的位置缩回到低于工作台顶部24的位置。控制系统的一个实施例在申请日为2003年1月31日的美国序列号no.60/444,263中进行了描述,其全文内容在此均作为参考。
逻辑控制器60构造成响应所接收的输入信号而控制台锯。例如,逻辑控制器60可以适合从包括探测子系统50、反应子系统70和切割系统130的多种信息源中接收输入信号。逻辑控制器60也可以包括适合监测台锯的可选择参数的一个或多个传感器。
另外,逻辑控制器60一般包括由使用者操作的、用于控制台锯10的一个或多个仪器。所述仪器可以包括开始/停止开关、速度控制、方向控制等。逻辑控制器60也可以被连接到各种仪器来接收使用者的输入信号以及来自其它信息源(未示出)的输入信号,如锯片运动传感器、工件传感器等的输入信号,以控制切割系统130和/或反应子系统70。逻辑控制器60可以对所接收的输入信号产生预定反应。例如,依赖于从探测系统50所接收的探测信号,逻辑控制器60能够启动反应子系统70的各种部件。在控制系统40的一个实施例中,输出信号或一系列信号使在反应子系统70中的至少一个元件启动。
在另一实施例中,逻辑控制器60能够使反应子系统70启动缩回子系统76,阻止切割锯片150的运动,触发可见光72或可听声74,或者快速实现其任意的结合。当逻辑控制器60将一个信号输出到反应子系统70,以启动缩回子系统76时,逻辑控制器60也能够将信号发送到反应子系统70,以启动缩回子系统76,以便为使用者提供主体部分接近锯片150、锯片防护罩28、开口26或锯片150附近任何一个区域的可见信号72。
一旦响应于显示存在一种或多种情况的信号而启动反应子系统70,所述反应子系统70就构造成使锯片150缩回。反应子系统70构造成大致同时使锯片150缩回(移动锯片到低于工作台顶部的位置),阻止限制机构170以及可选择地提供一种可见光72和/或可听声74,如蜂鸣器74。
如上述一样,台锯10包括合适的电源32,以将电能提供到切割系统130和控制系统40。电源32可以是外部电源如线路电流,或内部电源如蓄电池。作为可选择的方案,电源32可以包括外部和内部电源的结合。另外,电源32可以包括两个或多个独立的电源,每一个适合将电能供给台锯10的不同部分。
现在参考图4,其示出了具有反应子系统70的本发明台锯10的一个实施例,其包括缩回系统76。根据本发明的缩回系统76,锯片150可以优选在工作台24下方缩回,而不移动马达140。因此,低于工作台24的锯片150落下的能量或力将会减小,其应该允许锯片150以很快的速度和可能以大于使用者接近的速度向下移动。而且,因为马达140不与锯片150一起移动,所以停止锯片150向下运动需要消耗的能量将会更少,因而可以减小锯片150不需要的回弹。而且,通过优选构造缩回系统76的元件,当锯片150下降(缩回)时,锯片150不再驱动接合马达140。因此,锯片150将停止旋转,并且省去了需要消耗旋转马达140的能量。
台锯10包括用于承载马达140的凸耳(trunion)100、缝楔(riving knife)120和缩回系统76。凸耳100包括第一侧面102、第二侧面104、前部106、后部108、顶部110和底部112。凸耳100也具有连接顶部110和前部106的倾斜部分114,低于所述倾斜部分的锯片150静止在缩回位置(参见图6)。凸耳100能够相对于工作台24的顶部通过使用调节机构或手柄30向上或向下或有角度地调节,这在现有技术中是公知的。因此,锯片150能够相对于工作台24的顶部进行调节。
凸耳100也设有位于凸耳102的第一侧面的上止动部116,凸耳的倾斜部分114在此连接凸耳的顶部110。上止动部116为摆臂160提供止动,以进一步阻止摆臂160向上旋转,因此进一步阻止锯片150向上运动。
在所需的实施例中,马达140间接驱动锯片150通过心轴152,锯片150通过螺母154或类似的紧固件紧固在所述心轴152上。驱动器144连接马达轴142和锯片心轴152。驱动器144也可以是皮带、分开的变速箱(split-apart gearbox)或其它已知的驱动机构。马达140被示出,其安装在相对于锯片150的凸耳侧面,并具有延伸通过凸耳开口的马达轴42。但是应该理解的是,马达140很方便定位,只要马达140间接驱动锯片150,以便锯片150缩回时,锯片心轴152不通过马达140驱动。
锯片心轴152安装在摆臂160上,其具有第一末端160和第二末端166,第一末端和第二末端采用枢轴连接件164连接到凸耳的前部106。枢轴连接件164可以以任何已知的形式,只要摆臂160从锯片操作位置(如图5所示)到锯片缩回位置(如图6所示)可自由旋转。在一个实施例中,当锯片150处于操作位置时,摆臂160与水平面成大约27°。值得注意的是,依赖于台锯10的条件和凸耳100的构造可以以不同的合适角度设置摆臂160。
限制机构170可操作地与摆臂166的第二端结合,以限制摆臂160从锯片操作位置移至锯片缩回位置。值得注意的是,在锯片150的操作过程中(即锯片的切割运动),摆臂160通常被以向上的方向推动。因此,当锯片150不移动时,限制机构170只需要提供足够的力保持摆臂160和锯片150在锯片操作位置。合适的限制机构170包括安全销、在凸耳100中位于制动器(detent)中的弹簧加载球,以便球在摆臂的第二末端接合制动器,但不仅仅限于此,或反之亦然,限制机构170可以包括易熔材料如镍铬丝、不锈钢丝等,以便易熔材料在预定的电流密度下熔化;磁螺线管,其在电启动或电解除或类似装置中消磁,以限制摆臂160向下运动。
缩回系统76也包括与摆臂166的第二末端接触的致动器180,以提供足以克服限制机构170的限制力的向下的力,以允许摆臂向下摆动或向下推动摆臂。例如,如果限制机构170是安全销,致动器180必须提供剪切销的足够的力,并强制摆臂160向下运动。在一个实施例中,致动器180需要提供一个大于限制机构170的抑制力的力,以便附加的力帮助摆臂160向下运动。依赖于所需的构造,同时依赖于接收的作为一种或多种情况探测表示的信号,致动器180可以启动或解除启动。
致动器180可以是能够将力作用到摆臂166的第二端的任意的机构,足以向下驱动摆臂160。在一个实施例中,致动器180与柱塞一起成螺线管,以便当螺线管通电时,柱塞从接触摆臂166的一部分第二末端的螺线管中向外延伸,以向下驱动摆臂160。螺线管可以选择地构造成在使螺线管断电时,柱塞向外延伸。
在另一实施例中,致动器180可以是药包(explosive charge)。所述药包可以设置在形成于邻接摆臂166第二末端的一部分凸耳100上的空腔中,以便爆炸能量强制摆臂166的第二末端向下驱动摆臂160。
设置至少一个下止动部118,以接触和停止摆臂160的向下运动,从而使锯片150处于工作台24的顶部下面的缩回位置。下止动部118位于凸耳100的相同侧,以便当摆臂160被定位时,锯片150可以缩回足够的距离。下止动部118按所需的要求被定位,以便当锯片处于操作位置时,摆臂160与水平面成倾斜距离,其距离小于摆臂160的倾斜距离。例如,如果当锯片处于操作位置时,摆臂160与水平面成27°,那么摆臂160应该与水平面的倾斜角度小于-27°,如大约-25°。通过提供不同的倾斜角度,连接马达轴142和锯片心轴152的驱动器144将与马达轴142脱离(或由于皮带而导致松开)。换句话说,当锯片150处于锯片缩回位置时,马达140将不驱动锯片150。
而且,因为摆臂移动或独立作用到马达上,所以摆臂可以向下加速,其速度大于(如果)用马达移动的摆臂速度。因此锯片应该比(如果)用马达移动的摆臂速度更快地从操作位置缩回。换句话说,切割工具和/或摆臂可独立于马达移动,其能够保持静止或独立于切割工具和/或摆臂移动。
下止动部118按需要由各种碰撞吸收材料,如弹性材料、橡胶、泡沫、塑料等的任何一种中形成,以减小任何向上的回弹或摆臂160的反弹,其可以导致锯片150在工作台24上部延伸。
缝楔120设置在凸耳108的后部,并且从凸耳110的顶部向上延伸。缝楔120紧固在某个位置,以充当用于保护锯片150后部的防护罩。缝楔120具有与锯片150邻接和分开的前部122。缝楔120相对于锯片150是静止的。缝楔的前部122的顶部跟随锯片150的轮廓线,但是其后部逐渐变尖,以允许锯片150缩回,而不接触缝楔122。
本发明可应用到台锯上,并提供一种控制系统,其中切割工具在指定的一种或多种情况出现时缩回,如当探测到身体的某一部分接近切割工具时的情况。因此,前述的细节描述看作说明性的,而非限定性的,应该理解的是,下面的权利要求包括各种等同方案,并且旨在限定本发明的精神和范围。

Claims (18)

1.一种具有用于切割工件的切割区域的台锯,其包括:
a、在切割区域中驱动可移动的切割工具来切割工件的马达;
b、适合探测一种或多种情况的探测系统;以及
c、与探测系统和切割工具相连的反应系统,其中反应系统构造成至少部分远离切割区域来使切割工具缩回,并且在通过探测系统探测的一种或多种情况的至少一种情况下,断开驱动切割工具的马达,其中切割工具的缩回与马达无关。
2.如权利要求1所述的台锯,其中,多种情况中的一种是人体和切割工具之间的接近。
3.如权利要求1所述的台锯,其中,马达间接驱动切割工具。
