Abstract
Verfahren zur Herstellung von luftgefüllten Verpackungspolstern aus einer Bahn von vorkonfiguriertem Folienmaterial, welches einen sich in Längsrichtung erstreckenden Aufblaskanal und eine Vielzahl von aufblasbaren Kammern aufweist, die mit dem Aufblaskanal durch sich seitlich erstreckende Einlassöffnungen in Verbindung stehen, wobei es die Schritte umfasst: das kontinuierliche und ununterbrochene Vorrücken einer Bahn des vorkonfigurierten Folienmaterials entlang eines Pfads, das Aufblasen der Kammern im Material durch den Aufblaskanal, während das Material entlang des Pfads vorrückt, und das Herumführen des Folienmaterials um den Umfang einer Abdichtwalze und in direktem Gleitkontakt mit einem erwärmten Abdichtelement, um die Einlassöffnungen im vorrückenden Folienmaterial abzudichten.
Claims (35)
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von luftgefüllten Verpackungspolstern aus einer Bahn von vorkonfiguriertem Folienmaterial, welches einen sich in Längsrichtung erstreckenden Aufblaskanal und eine Vielzahl von aufblasbaren Kammern aufweist, die mit dem Aufblaskanal durch sich seitlich erstreckende Einlassöffnungen in Verbindung stehen, wobei es die Schritte umfasst: das kontinuierliche und ununterbrochene Vorrücken einer Bahn des vorkonfigurierten Folienmaterials entlang eines Pfads, das Aufblasen der Kammern im Material durch den Aufblaskanal, während das Material entlang des Pfads vorrückt, und das Herumführen des Folienmaterials um den Umfang einer Abdichtwalze und in direktem Gleitkontakt mit einem erwärmten Abdichtelement, um die Einlassöffnungen im vorrückenden Folienmaterial abzudichten.
- Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 1, welches den Schritt des Ablassens von Luft aus dem Aufblaskanal durch Auslassöffnungen einschließt, die mit dem Aufblaskanal in Verbindung stehen.
- Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 2, wobei die Luft durch die Auslassöffnungen abgelassen wird, während das Folienmaterial sich um den Umfang der Abdichtwalze bewegt.
- Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 2 oder Anspruch 3, wobei die Luft durch die Auslassöffnungen abgelassen wird, um einen übermäßigen Druckaufbau im Aufblaskanal und in den aufgeblasenen Polstern zu vermeiden.
- Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 4, wobei die durch die Auslassöffnungen abgelassene Luft überwacht wird, um die Anzahl der hergestellten Polster zu bestimmen.
- Verfahren gemäß einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Folienmaterial durch den Eingriff des Materials mit ersten und zweiten Paaren von Nipwalzen vorgerückt wird, wobei das erste Paar an einem Punkt des Pfades angeordnet ist, vor welchem die Kammern aufgeblasen werden, und das zweite Paar an einem Punkt hinter dem Abdichtelement angeordnet ist.
- Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 6, wobei die Nipwalzen des zweiten Paars schneller gedreht werden als die Nipwalzen des ersten Paars, um die Spannung im Folienmaterial während des Aufblasens der Kammern und des Abdichtens der Einlassöffnungen aufrechtzuerhalten.
- Das Verfahren gemäß einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Folienmaterial sowohl in Umfangsrichtung als auch in seitlicher Richtung um einen Teil der Umfangsfläche der Abdichtwalze gewickelt wird, um eine Totzone in dem Bereich zu bilden, wo eine Einlassöffnung abgedichtet wird.
- Maschine zur Ausführung des Verfahrens der vorangegangenen Ansprüche, welche umfasst: Mittel, um die Bahn von vorkonfiguriertem Folienmaterial durch die Maschine vorzurücken, Mittel, um Luft durch den Aufblaskanal in die aufblasbaren Kammern einzuleiten, und eine Abdichtwalze und ein erwärmtes Abdichtelement, welche gegeneinander vorgespannt sind, wobei eine Seite des Folienmaterials um die Umfangsfläche der Abdichtwalze gewickelt ist und in Wälzkontakt mit dieser steht, und die andere Seite des Materials in direktem Gleitkontakt mit dem erwärmten Abdichtelement steht, um das Material über den Einlassöffnungen abzudichten, um die aufgeblasenen Kammern abzudichten.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 9, wobei das Folienmaterial sowohl in Umfangsrichtung als auch in seitlicher Richtung um einen Teil der Umfangsfläche der Abdichtwalze gewickelt ist, um eine Totzone in dem Bereich zu bilden, wo eine Einlassöffnung abgedichtet wird.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 9 oder Anspruch 10, wobei die Abdichtwalze und das erwärmte Abdichtelement mit einer vorgewählten Kraft gegeneinander vorgespannt sind, zusammen mit Mitteln zum Einstellen des Betrages der vorgewählten Kraft.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 11, wobei die Abdichtwalze an einem festgelegten Ort in der Maschine rotierend montiert ist, und das erwärmte Abdichtelement auf die Abdichtwalze zu und weg von dieser bewegbar ist.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 11, wobei das erwärmte Abdichtelement an einem festgelegten Ort in der Maschine montiert ist, und die Abdichtwalze auf das erwärmte Abdichtelement zu und weg von diesem bewegbar ist.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 13, wobei das erwärmte Abdichtelement eine Ausdehnung in die Richtung aufweist, in welche das Folienmaterial vorrückt, die der Weite einer der Einlassöffnungen im Folienmaterial entspricht.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 14, wobei die Mittel zur Einleitung von Luft in die aufblasbaren Kammern ein Aufblasrohr einschließen, welches so in den Aufblaskanal im Folienmaterial eingeführt ist, dass Luft unter Druck in den Aufblaskanal eingeleitet werden kann, wobei das Aufblasrohr ein im Allgemeinen kugelförmiges Auslassende mit einem Durchmesser aufweist, der im Wesentlichen derselbe Durchmesser wie jener des Aufblaskanals ist, und das Auslassende des Aufblasrohrs einen äußeren Überzug aufweist, welcher die Gleitbewegung des Aufblasrohrs im Aufblaskanal erleichtert.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 15, wobei das erwärmte Abdichtelement einen Nichrom-Draht umfasst, der mit einem Gewebe und einem PTFE-Überzug auf der Seite des Gewebes bedeckt ist, welche in Gleitkontakt mit dem Folienmaterial steht.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 15, wobei das Erwärmungselement einen Nichrom-Draht einschließt, der in einem keramischen Material montiert ist, welches eine Isolierung gegen die Ausbreitung von Wärme weg vom Nichrom-Draht bereitstellt.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 17, wobei ein erwärmtes Abdichtelement Teil einer Kartusche ist, welche in der Maschine entfernbar montiert und so angepasst ist, dass sie als Einheit entfernt und ersetzt werden kann, ohne dass irgendwelche einzelnen Bestandteile der Kartusche ersetzt werden müssen.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 18, wobei die Kartusche einen Hilfsrahmen aufweist, einen Führungsblock mit einer Öffnung an einem Ende für das erwärmte Abdichtelement, mindestens einen in der Öffnung im Führungsblock montierten Nichrom-Draht, einen Gewebestreifen mit einem PTFE-Überzug, der auf Speicherund Aufwickelspulen gewickelt ist, welche auf dem Hilfsrahmen rotierend montiert sind, und einen Antrieb, der die Aufwickelspule dreht, um das Gewebe über das Ende des Führungsblocks vorzuschieben, wobei das Gewebe den Nichrom-Draht bedeckt, wobei der PTFE-Überzug mit einer Oberfläche des Folienmaterials in Gleiteingriff tritt, und wobei die Abdichtwalze das Folienmaterial gegen das Gewebe und den darunter liegenden Nichrom-Draht hält, während das Folienmaterial durch die Maschine vorrückt.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 19, wobei die Mittel zum Vorrücken des Folienmaterials durch die Maschine ein erstes Paar von Nipwalzen umfassen, welches mit dem Material in Eingriff tritt, bevor die Kammern aufgeblasen werden, und ein zweites Paar von Nipwalzen, welche mit dem Material in Eingriff treten, nachdem die Kammern aufgeblasen und die Einlassöffnungen abgedichtet worden sind.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 20, wobei die Rotationsachsen von mindestens dem zweiten Paar von Nipwalzen in Bezug auf die Rotationsachse der Abdichtwalze in einem geringen Winkel geneigt sind.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 20 oder 21, wobei das zweite Paar von Nipwalzen so angepasst ist, dass es geringfügig schneller als das erste Paar von Nipwalzen rotiert, um so die Spannung in der Folienmaterialbahn zwischen den beiden Paaren von Nipwalzen aufrechtzuerhalten.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 22, welche Mittel zur Überwachung der Luftströmung aus den Auslassöffnungen einschließt, die mit dem Aufblaskanal in Verbindung stehen, während das Material durch die Maschine vorrückt.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 23, welche Mittel einschließt, welche auf die Luftströmung aus den Auslassöffnungen reagieren, um die Anzahl der hergestellten aufgeblasenen Kissen zu zählen.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 23 oder Anspruch 24, welche Mittel einschließen, welche auf die Luftströmung aus den Auslassöffnungen reagieren, um die genaue Positionierung der Folienbahn innerhalb der Maschine aufrechtzuerhalten.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 23 bis 25, welche Mittel einschließt, welche auf die Luftströmung aus den Auslassöffnungen reagieren, um den Druck der Luft zu kontrollieren, mit welcher die Kammern aufgeblasen werden, um das Überaufblasen der Polster zu verhindern.
- Maschine zum Aufblasen und Abdichten eines vorkonfigurierten Folienmaterials, das aufblasbare Kammern aufweist, welche mit einem Aufblaskanal in Verbindung stehen, um luftgefüllte Verpackungspolster herzustellen, welche umfasst: einen aufrecht stehenden Träger mit einer seitlich weisenden Seitenwand, eine Welle, die sich von der Seitenwand in freitragender Weise erstreckt, um rotierend eine Walze des Folienmaterials zu unterstützen, die senkrecht zur Wand angeordnet ist, einen Zuführmechanismus auf derselben Seite der Wand wie die Welle, um das Folienmaterial von der Walze zu ziehen und es entlang eines Pfades neben der Wand vorzurücken, wobei das Material im Allgemeinen senkrecht zur Wand verläuft, eine Luftdüse, die sich durch die Seitenwand erstreckt, um in den Aufblaskanal eingeführt zu werden, um die Kammern aufzublasen, während das Material entlang des Pfades vorrückt, und ein Erwärmungselement auf der Außenseite der Seitenwand, um die aufgeblasenen Kammern im vorrückenden Material abzudichten.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 27, wobei die Luftdüse und das Erwärmungselement von der Folienmaterialwalze vertikal beabstandet sind.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 27 oder Anspruch 28, welche eine Vielzahl von stationären Führungen einschließt, die sich seitlich von der Seitenwand erstrecken, um das Folienmaterial entlang des Pfades zu leiten.
- Maschine gemäß Anspruch 29, wobei eine der Führungen eine zylindrische Oberfläche aufweist, um welche das Folienmaterial geleitet wird, während es zwischen der Walze und der Luftdüse vorrückt.
- Maschine gemäß einem der Ansprüche 27 bis 30, welche Mittel zum Herausführen der Polster in Abwärtsrichtung aus der Maschine einschließen, nachdem die Kammern aufgeblasen und abgedichtet worden sind.
- Folienmaterial zur Verwendung im Verfahren gemäß der Ansprüche 1 bis 8 und in der Maschine gemäß der Ansprüche 9 bis 31, welches umfasst: zwei übereinander liegende Schichten von Kunststofffolien, die miteinander verbunden sind, um einen Aufblaskanal zu bilden, der sich in Längsrichtung des Materials erstreckt, eine Vielzahl von aufblasbaren Kammern, Einlassöffnungen, welche die aufblasbaren Kammern und den Aufblaskanal so miteinander verbinden, dass unter Druck stehende Luft durch den Aufblaskanal in die Kammern eingeleitet werden kann, und eine Vielzahl von Auslassöffnungen, die mit dem Aufblaskanal in Verbindung stehen und das Entweichen von Luft aus demselben erlauben.
- Folienmaterial gemäß Anspruch 32, wobei die Einlassöffnungen und die Auslassöffnungen auf gegenüberliegenden Seiten des Aufblaskanals positioniert sind.
- Folienmaterial gemäß Anspruch 32 oder 33, wobei Einlassöffnungen und Auslassöffnungen in Längsrichtung voneinander beabstandet und seitlich zueinander ausgerichtet sind.
- Folienmaterial gemäß einem der Ansprüche 32 bis 34, wobei sich die Auslassöffnungen vom Aufblaskanal zu einem Seitenrand des Folienmaterials erstrecken.
