Nachteilig ist es auch, dass handelsübliche Fassungen vorgesehen sind, die viel Platz in Anspruch nehmen. In den Zeichnungsfiguren 1 bis 7 ist schematisch eine erfindungsgemäße Ausführung mit Einzelheiten von dieser dargestellt. Eine elektronische Regelung wird über eine nicht dargestellte konventionelle Phasenabschnitt- oder -anschnittdimmschaltung realisiert. Die Vergussmasse des Beleuchtungsmoduls (4) kann milchig, eingefärbt oder klar ausgeführt sein. Damit das Vergussmaterial die optische Wirkung eng bündelnder LED-Linsen nicht aufhebt, ist es neben einem Vollverguss bei breiten Ausstrahlwinkeln auch vorgesehen, bei engen Ausstrahlwinkeln die Linsen der LED aus der Vergussmasse austreten zu lassen. Dabei werden Transmissionsverluste weitestgehend vermieden. Bei dem Vollverguss und bei Gehäusen ist es auch sinnvoll, die lichtabstrahlende Oberfläche so auszuführen, dass über eine linsenartige Ausformung eine besondere optische Wirkung (Fig. 6) entsteht. Der Verguss, die Gehäuse und das Kabelmaterial werden für Anwendungen im Außenbereich wasserdicht oder wassergeschützt ausgeführt. Um eine Zugentlastung und einen Knickschutz zu realisieren, kann um die Anschlussleitung auch vor dem Verguss eine zweite flexiblere Vergussmasse angebracht werden. In das Beleuchtungsmodul sind Befestigungselemente (6) integriert, so dass das Modul z. B. formschlüssig mit Schrauben oder Federn gehalten werden kann. Die Bauform des Beleuchtungsmoduls ist beliebig, so dass je nach Anwendung und Design das Modul als Lampe oder als Leuchte genutzt werden kann.
