Abstract

The method involves using a device for determining the motor vehicle's position, a digital road map, a device for computing a route (6), an input unit for entering a destination and an output unit for driving instructions, whereby the input unit has a voice recognition system set to a basic language. The voice recognition system can be changed over to a translation mode. An independent claim is also included for a device for navigating a vehicle driver to a destination.
