Durch Anflanschen eines elektrischen Motors lässt sich leicht ein Türantrieb in eine stufenlose Türbremse integrieren, so dass zwei Ausstattungsvarianten möglich werden und die durch die erfindungsgemäße Brems- und Arretierungsvorrichtung realisierte Türbremse optional mit Antrieb versehen sein kann. Ein weiterer Vorteil besteht schließlich darin, dass bei der Spindel, der Mutter, dem Lager, aber auch dem optionalen Elektromotor auf allgemein verfügbare Standardprodukte zurückgegriffen werden kann, während sich der elektrorheologische Dämpfer leicht an den gewünschten Anwendungszweck anpassen lässt.
