The dust deposited on the electrodes of the electrostatic precipitator is mostly carried through Shaken or removed by scraping and rinsing with cleaning fluid. For this inclined liquid spray nozzles are used to cover the largest possible part of the electrodes can paint over (German Auslegeschrift 1141260 and British patent specification 806 126). Besides it is also known to blow off the electrodes with air or clean gas. This can be multiple Way done. The electrodes can through slot nozzles which are arranged perpendicular to them are blown (German Auslegeschrift 1 002 736) or by the fact that in the gas lanes of the Electrostatic precipitator pipes are introduced, which are so occupied with nozzles that air flows approximately be blown through the alleys parallel to the collecting electrodes (German patent specification 347 364). It is known that gas pressure fluctuations can also be used for effective cleaning. As practice has shown, such arrangements are unsatisfactory, since experience has shown that the dusts sit very firmly on, for example, the collecting electrodes and from a sliding over them Air flow are little affected, even if it is compressed air.
For cleaning spray electrodes, it is known to use the frame in which the spray wires are clamped are to be designed as compressed air pipes and to provide them in the vertical with nozzles through their Orifices emerge from the spray electrodes (German Patent 349 737). Such an arrangement is satisfactory but not in two respects. An effective cleaning of the collecting electrodes is not possible, since only the spray electrodes are blown off in their longitudinal direction, the air flow the So collecting electrodes cannot reach enough. Any vortices that occur are how Practice shows that it is not able to clean the collecting electrodes of caked-on dust. By constantly enveloping the spray electrodes with air or clean gas, when you use the high voltage does not switch off them during cleaning, which is essential for the separation Corona effect disturbed, which leads to a deterioration in the efficiency of the separator.

In contrast, the invention proposes a device for cleaning precipitation electrodes and Spray electrodes of electrostatic precipitators with air or clean gas under pressure, in which the the frames carrying the spray electrodes are designed as pressure pipes provided with blow nozzles, wherein the frames carrying the spray electrodes are located in the effective separation field and are pulsating be acted upon with air and / or clean gas, so that the blown air exits the nozzles in bursts and as a result, in addition to cleaning the collecting electrodes, the spray electrodes are set to vibrate. According to the invention, individual gas lanes and / or individual sections of the electrical Separation fields are cleaned periodically at adjustable time intervals.
The device according to the invention has a number of advantages over the prior art. It is possible, for example, to have both the collecting electrodes and the spray electrodes at the same time can be effectively freed from adhering dust in one and the same operation.
At the same time, since the blowing off takes place in a pulsating manner, i.e. in short bursts, the spray frames and the spray electrodes attached in it are set in mechanical vibrations and thus also effective cleaned. Knocking devices and additional pressure pipes are not required because the separator frames are designed as a tubular frame for reasons of stability. This reduces the cost of materials considerably compared to the arrangements described above. With short blowing periods you can ensure that the dust that is deposited on the electrodes is removed immediately, an
