Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Neuerung an Schnallenschuhen mit ganz herabklappbarem Oberteil, und zwar besteht der Vorteil des neuen Schuhes darin, daß die elastischen Einsätze, welche in den Klappen des Schuhes angebracht sind, den Rand derselben an einer Stelle zwischen der Schnalle und der Verbindungsnaht mit dem Oberleder durchbrechen. Dadurch wird eine vorzügliehe Elastizität in der Richtung des Spanns erzielt. Der Schuh α besitzt in bekannter Weise eine mit elastischen Einsätzen versehene Zunge b, über welche die Klappen c sich legen, die durch die verstellbare Schnalle d, e zusammengehalten werden, deren beide Teile direkt an den Rand der Klappen c angenäht sind. Um die durchaus notwendige Elastizität zu schaffen, sind die Klappen c mit einem vorteilhaft winkelförmigen Ausschnitt/ versehen. In diesem Ausschnitt ist ein elastischer Einsatz befestigt, welcher vermöge seiner Elastizität einen ganz nach Wunsch beliebig starken Zug auszuüben gestattet und der sich aus dem gleichen Grunde außerdem noch der Form des Spanns bezw. der Fußwurzel ausgezeichnet anpaßt. Dieser elastische Einsatz kann hinreichend lang und breit gemacht werden, so daß seine einzelnen Fasern nur gering beansprucht werden, mithin eine große Haltbarkeit gesichert ist. Dieser Einsatz durchbricht die Klappen c an einer Stelle zwischen der Schnalle und der Verbindungsnaht mit dem Oberleder. Hierdurch wird eine vorzügliche Elastizität des Verschlusses in der Richtung des Spanns herbeigeführt.
