Description

Crankcase ventilation for. Engines, in particular diesel engines The invention relates to a crankcase ventilation * s engines, ins- special £ -4r diesel engines ..

. According to the regulations on keeping the air clean, the crankcase ventilation must be supplied to the combustion air in vehicle engines and the ventilation gases must no longer escape into the open. For this purpose, the budget ventilation generally leads into the air filter inlet. This system is called "positive crankcase ventilation", abbreviated to "PCV ventilation" . If the air filter, especially in the case of larger vehicle diesel engines, is not attached directly to the engine , but is located some distance from it, or if it is a paper filter , then the "PCV" method is no longer advantageous. Therefore, in such a case, the crankcase ventilation is routed directly into the engine intake pipe . Due to the negative pressure in the intake pipe, which is highly dependent on the engine speed, the crankcase ventilation, which has constant cross-sections, cannot simply be connected to the intake pipe . Rather, a point must be provided on the crankcase at which pressure equalization with the surroundings can take place, so that no too high negative pressure or even overpressure can arise inside the crankcase. - The aforementioned regulations for keeping the air clean require a design for normal operation in such a way that no gases can escape from the crankcase under all operating conditions. .

The task is therefore set to design the ventilation so that no gases can escape at the described open point in the crankcase, which is used for pressure equalization , but either no gas escapes or air is sucked in from the outside . The object is achieved in that the l'PCV "-ausgleiche- or scavenging air is sucked through the engine through the pressure in the air intake pipe, which increases with the engine speed , and together with the actual blow-through quantity from the piston and other venting quantities through gasification or evaporation in the Anaaugröhr passes. the "PCV" -Spülluftmenge is in the Pragcis to about 196 of the total Annaugluftmenge. When Einests of such an engine in a dusty environment so rilteru2g this purge air is required, ie, in the open position of the crankcase is a .Additional " Always install a highly effective filter that is capable of working. According to the invention, it is proposed to avoid the additional air filter for the scavenging air and to combine the oil separation of the normal crankcase ventilation with a highly effective filter — the "PCV" -9pülluft au.

In the drawings , the invention is shown schematically in two exemplary embodiments and is described in more detail below. Fig. 1 shows the arrangement of a "PCV" vent unit with additional air; Fig. 2 shows the design of the venting device as an oil filler cap. The engine ventilation gases 1 are sucked into the filter and oil separator chamber 3 from below, while the "PCV" scavenging air 2 flows through a Kantelrohratück 12 from top to bottom. The filling of the filter, a steel mesh filling, is also due to the spatial arrangement - always oil-wetted and oil-flushed. Here, the oil is separated from the engine ventilation gases and the additional air is filtered at the same time , whereby the two gases are mixed. The mixture then flows through the connecting pipe 5 into the Notoranaaugrohr 4.

In the illustration according to Fig. 2, the ventilation device a13 Gleinfülldeckel is formed. This has, among other things, particular advantages with regard to the maintenance and cleaning of the device.

The scavenging air 2 is gate filtered, namely immediately after entering the room 6. A room for separating dirt particles or water, which may be contained in the additional air , is located below the access hole to the mixing room 3. This room 9 contains a low oil filling and is thus able to bind the dust particles similar to the principle of the oil bath air filtera. The mixing chamber 3 has the dual task, namely the oil separation in terms of actual Notorentlüftungsgase and filters and in terms of additional air according to the invention. By means of the air baffle 7 or a flange 8 , the separation of dirt through the filling in space 9 can be teaserized. In order to prevent condensate (water- hydrocarbon geniseh) from escaping from this venting unpayatem into the open , a S4 »el container 10 is provided under the actual air inlet for the additional air that enters space 6 at this point. In this version 10 leaking condensate can possibly aasseln and does not come into the open.
