Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
Von den bisher bekannten Verfahren zurThe subject of the invention is a method of using wood-acetic iron oxide (a dissolution of iron in raw acetic acid, which is also called black iron), to give silk that has previously been weighed down with tin (or other metals), phosphoric acid and silicic acid an even, beautiful blue-black color to create.
Of the previously known methods for
Verwendete man nach jener Beschwerung und nach der Gerbstoffbehandlung holzessigsaures Eisen, so wurde die Färbung sehr ungleichmäßig.ίο Generation of blue-black on weighted The process mainly differs from silk by its greater cheapness and lesser value Duration with simultaneous achievement of a perfectly even, beautiful blue-black color on heavily weighted silk. The weighting of the silk with tin, phosphoric acid and silica and on it the following treatment with tanning agent has already been described. According to that procedure weighted silk was treated with bluewood extract and soap to produce a black color; to improve the Coloring, aniline dyes had to be used; however, a beautiful and even blue-black could in this way will not be obtained. Was used after that weighting and after the tanning treatment wood acetic acid iron, the color was very uneven.
The method forming the subject of the invention now enables production of a beautiful, even blue-black using wood-acetic iron oxide Silk that has previously been weighed down with tin, phosphoric acid and silica the new measure that the wood acetic acid iron after weighing the silk with Tin and phosphoric acid respectively. Silica and before treatment with tanning agent Application. Only after the treatment with wood acetic acid iron does the treatment with Gambir or one follow another tanning agent, through which both the blue shade creates the black, as also at the same time the weight is increased. In this way, tin, phosphoric acid, Silicic acid and Gambir or other tannins achieved a high weighting in a relatively simple manner and associated with this the use of wood acetic acid iron to produce a beautiful and valuable blue-black color will.
Löwenthal, Handbuch der Färberei, 1900, Band I, S. 490, Abs. 4, Zeile 5).The iron oxide compounds proposed by other sources, such as. B. nitric acid Iron oxide, do not produce an equivalent blue-black, even if you put them in the order given here, that is before the tannin treatment, applies (see Löwenthal, Handbuch der Färberei, 1900, Volume I, p. 490, para. 4, line 5).
To produce a blue-black colored silk with a weight of 20 to 25 percent, the boiled (deburred) silk is placed in a cold chlorine-tin bath at 20 ° Be. introduced and left in it for an hour, then washed and immersed in a bath of sodium phosphate of 5 0 Be. inserted at 60 ° C., removed after an hour, washed, then again in a cold chlorine-tin bath for one hour
I Prozent Olivenöl aviviert.28 ° Be. placed, after washing for one hour in the bath of phosphoric acid soda of the same strength and temperature as above and then placed in a bath of 10 kg acetic acid on 100 kg silk heated to 30 ° C. after washing. Thereafter, the silk in a bath of wood acetate ferrous oxide of Be 4 0 is. changed at normal temperature for an hour, then wrapped up and left wrapped in towels for half an hour to three hours. The longer you leave the silk, the bluer the black becomes. The silk is then washed and treated for two hours in a bath that contains 75 percent (calculated on the weight of the silk) gambir, 50 percent yellow wood extract and 35 percent blue wood extract (liquid) and is heated to 65 ° C. After washing, the silk passes from this bath into a bath heated to 40 ° C. and containing 30 percent blue wood extract and 45 percent soap. This bath is slowly heated until the desired shade of blue is achieved. Then the silk is washed. and enriched with 1 percent crystallized citric acid and 1 percent olive oil.
To produce blue-black with a weighting of 50 to 60 percent only the treatment with tin chloride and sodium phosphate, as described above Example would be done twice, repeated a third time, and then the silk further treated in the same way as indicated above.
After treatment with wood acetic acid iron, 100 percent can be used instead of 75 percent Gambir can be used.
The blue-black colorations achieved by the present process are special Valuable because the dyeing produced and the high weighting of the silk at the same time is a perfectly uniform one. In addition, the new process is significantly cheaper and less time consuming than the previously known.
