Description

The present invention relates to a breathing mask for Ventilation of people according to claims 1 to 17.

A large number of people, especially men, suffer a nocturnal cessation of breathing in the extreme even life-threatening proportions. at this so-called apnea can be a ventilator Ab create help that is worn at night.

The cause of the disease is relaxation of the pharynx muscle tissue and leads next to a subver supply with essential oxygen often too Problems with the respective life partner as a result of hereby occurring erectile dysfunction. The single ones Breathing phases last approximately between ten seconds and a minute.

A solution to this problem can be found in the use of ei nes respirator with breathing mask. Here han is it an apparatus that is based on the so-called CPAP method (Continuous Positive Air Pressure) ar processes and the patient by means of a slight overpressure via a hose feed and next to be instructed face mask with pressurized air provides. It can find pressures of up to 16 millibars Ver turn.

Derartige Geräte werden etwa von der Firma Respironics Inc., 1001 Murry Ridge Drive, Murrysville, Pa. 15668-8550, Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika angeboten.Such devices are from the company Respironics Inc., 1001 Murry Ridge Drive, Murrysville, Pa. 15668-8550, United States.

Furthermore, devices from Gottlieb Weinmann Ge councils for medicine and occupational safety GmbH & Co., Hamburg under the trademark SOMNOTRON®2 nCPAP- Sleep apnea sets available on the market. The Company Winmann uses the Somno mask system, at the one instead of the previously known outlet slots Plastic filter cartridge in the one leading to the mask Fresh air hose is used. This filter cartridge consists of a ceramic filter and is a replacement part very expensive. In addition, the cartridge is in one Area of the supply air hose arranged that the zuge led fresh air or the exhaled breath to the user can blow in the face, which increases the comfort of the front direction is detrimental.

However, all of these devices have inherent problems that make their use considerably more difficult or even impossible other assets. So the respective devices are despite the Ver silencers are still relatively loud and thus disturb both the patient himself and his Life partner. So it is when leaving the night Bed required to avoid disturbing air noise first put the entire device out of operation what is extremely annoying for the user. Furthermore many patients tolerate the face masks because of their low comfort. Lead in more severe cases they even cause skin diseases and skin allergies.

A solution is devoted specifically to this problem beat the already mentioned company Respironics Inc., the offer a silicone contour mask, which due to the ver used silicone material is more skin-friendly than before conventional masks with rubber seals. However, can this proposed solution is still not sufficient be considered. Point in particular in the edge area such silicone contour masks are still quite sharp or at least abruptly designed courses for the Can interfere with patients.

Overall, it can be said that according to the state no CPAP ventilators are known in the art that Provide breathing masks with any accessories which takes sufficient account of wearing comfort continues and also the noise during their ver turn can be recognized.

It is therefore an object of the present invention Breathing mask with such comfort properties to admit.

This task is solved by a breathing mask that by one or more of the following fiction moderate devices is marked, namely a Be Fastening device for a fastening tape pressure reducing attachment of the breathing mask on the human face with fastening tape, a sound muffled air outlet, an air supply connector, as well as a mask seal for tight but skin-friendly Chen contact of the mask to the human face.

The fastening device of a fastening tape for pressure-reducing attachment of the breathing mask the human face with fastening tape is included characterized in that the one Balance beam, which on the one hand approximately in the middle Joints with the breathing mask and on the other side Ver with connecting points with the fastening tape is bound. With the breathing masks according to the state of the art nik are rigidly molded on the side of the actual mask Brackets provided on the two side headbands be connected for fastening. This inevitably leads common with involuntary head movements during the Sleep to a slip of the mask. That can only counteracted by increased contact pressure of the mask, which in turn leads to skin problems.

According to the invention, the side head is now here straps attached to the breathing mask so that the force from the headbands centrally to the area of the nose, d. H. about in the area of the bridge of the nose. This performs at least one balance beam, the central on the Mask is articulated so that the mask pen delnd is supported on the balance beam. A tilting of the Mask against the face is therefore excluded as well as slipping sideways. The pressure forces can be minor, which also means a reduction in skin problems.

In one embodiment according to the present invention The balance beam can also be attached via exactly one joint the breathing mask.

It is preferably in the case of the joints around universal or ball joints that work in all directions are deflectable, because the support of the aforementioned Balance beam should be done so that not only a horizon tale pivoting, but also requires a vertical Swiveling the balance beam in relation to the support point is possible.

The silenced air outlet according to the invention is there characterized in that the air outlet is a sound has open-pore foam damper. This can with a jacket, preferably made of plastic be surrounded.

The silencer can be inserted in the area of the breathing mask or put on, or the supply air hose to egg ner perforated point of the hose clamp-like vice ben. Preferably there is a separate housing for the sound damper provided, especially a one-sided open Pipe connected to the supply air area. Such a Silencer, for example made of a plastic jacket, into the inexpensive fine-pored foam plug is used, can be replaced or cleaned if necessary. The air exhales further away from the face and is therefore less disruptive. Annoying sounds are largely eliminated by it.

The air supply connector between breathing mask  and air supply system according to the present inven manure is characterized in that it is in the area of Head there slidably on a mounting bracket is ordered.

In a preferred embodiment, it is from the supply air going to the air supply system hose designed detachable.

The device according to the present invention enables it shines, for example, when there is a shorter sleep interruption to keep the breathing mask on, only the supply air hose must be loosened. This makes it easier to use dation considerably.

The supply air hose is held by a whip on the bed to one on a mounting bracket adjustable, preferably attached to a hood especially slidable air supply connector led to the mask. The air supply connector is there from a rotary adapter, a quick release, an auto matic butterfly valve and fixes the mask position. If you want to get up at night, you can do so at the push of a button the supply air hose is disconnected and closed at the same time a flap the airflow. Back in bed, he is on the Whip holder hanging supply air hose by simple Plugged in again, at the same time the flap opens.

The mask seal for tight but skin-friendly Contact of the mask with the human face is invented appropriately characterized in that the seal as Silicone hose is formed, at least partially with a jelly-like compliant fabric is filled.

The silicone tube is preferably filled at most 75%, ideally half with the jelly material.

The silicone hose jacket is in another one before preferred embodiment of the present invention Mask thicker than towards the skin area to be sealed designed.

Offer breathing masks according to the present invention therefore a new, flexible and tension-compensating device appropriate fastening technology. Even with a minimal Adaptation pressure gives the mask a firm hold. skin injuries or pressure marks on the nose, forehead and cheeks no longer apply.

The breathing mask does not twist or shift Air hose strains, also it does not stand out on one side and therefore does not cause air leakage noises, which means Eye and ear irritation due to leakage of secondary air be prevented.

The breathing mask according to the invention has an all around even adjustment pressure on the side Head movements remains constant. In two easy steps the mask body can be easily removed from the attachment to solve. Quick cleaning is just as easy, because the mask body including sealing profile smooth and is seamless and has no room for "bacterial hatcheries" has.

The masks commonly used for sealing bulges and the skin circulatory, nasal sealing skins are closed by a narrow, smooth tes, all-round silicone hollow profile, only partially filled with gel in the absence of air, replaced. This flexi ble hollow profile adapts easily to the nose environment. Even warts etc. in the sealing area become tired helos covered. The exhaust air flows through openings in the Mask angle with a "piggyback silencer" replaceable, plug-like filter almost silently.

By using the breath according to the invention mask becomes a variety of the previously known problems reduced when using CPAP systems or even canceled. The breathing masks according to the invention sor gene for a common, partner-friendly, fault free sleep.

Fig. 2A shows a schematic representation of a fastening device of the breathing mask according to the present invention in the form of a balance beam in cross section. The breathing mask 34 is movably connected to the so-called balance beam 30 via a joint 1 . The Waagebal ken itself 30 is in turn connected via connecting points 31 with the elastic, flexible headband 32 , which encloses the head 35 .

Fig. 3 shows a schematic representation of a Luftzu supply connector 40 according to the present invention in longitudinal section and Figs. 4 and 4A of this piece 40 in cross section. Both will be discussed together below.

It is for the support on the forehead and in particular above this, a headband connecting plate 38 hen, in the area of which a type of angle or locking bracket 3 is arranged, on which the horizontal leg with the headband 4 in the arrow directions 5 in different positions, preferably can be fixed by means of a bolt 6 . To air hose 7 or 33 is coupled via a rotary adapter 8 with egg nem extractable intermediate piece 9 , which z. B. in a rail guide 10 of the angle bracket 3 in the arrow direction 11 can be lifted out of the angle bracket 3 or otherwise decoupled. For this purpose, under the aushebbaren intermediate piece 9 is an ejection spring 12 arranged which automatically forces the intermediate piece 9 from the angle bracket 3 when this, the snap closures are actuated. 13

In the removable intermediate piece 9 , a shut-off valve 14 is provided, which is biased in the direction of rotation about the axial axis 15 by means of a spring 16 . Before the voltage is such that when the intermediate piece is inserted - that is, as can be seen in FIG. 3, the butterfly valve 14 is aligned in the opening direction. This is done at the onset of the intermediate piece in the angle bracket 3 automatically in that sole on the journal 17 rotationally fixed arrange ter control cam 18 on the cam 19 of the Winkelkon a entlangeleitet. 3 The butterfly valve 14 is thus automatically fixed in position, it is open.

When lifting the intermediate piece 9 , the Fe of 16 spends the butterfly valve 14 automatically in the closed position, so that no air can escape from the supply air hose 7 or 33 . It is therefore not necessary to switch off the air supply system.

Fig. 5, 5A and 5B show mask seals according to the present invention, respectively in cross section. Here, as a direct termination of the mask to the nose environment, a silicone tube 20 is used, which is relatively thick-walled in the region marked with 21 and in the region designated 22, lying on the face, is realistically thin-walled. This silicone tube 20 is filled with a jelly-like material 39 , preferably the consistency corresponding to silicone, and then partially placed under vacuum, so that the shape shown in FIG. 5B results. This shaping arises due to the un seen different wall thickness of the silicone tube 20 over the circumference. The mask seal has a holding profile with which it tightly engages a groove in the mask 34 .

FIG. 5C shows a as the need arises in the Mas kendichtung usable balance adjustment pad 24 for further improvement of the silicone tube to the human physiognomy.

The breathing mask is provided with two fastening devices for pressure-reducing attachment of the breathing mask on the human face, each in the manner of a balance bar, which are connected to the breathing mask 34 via joints 1 . On the supply air hose 7 , 33 sits a silenced air outlet 2 in the area of the breathing mask. The slightly pressurized air flows in the direction of arrow 36 towards the actual breathing mask 34 , where it supports inhalation. When exhaling, the air then flows out through the muffler 2 in the direction of the arrow 37 . The muffler has a tubular housing which is open towards the arrow 37 and is connected at the other end to the interior of the breathing mask via a channel. The silencer has a cylindrical foam filter that holds frictionally and can be easily removed. The actual breathing mask 34 lies tightly against the face via a silicone tube 20 , so that no secondary air can flow out.
