Abstract

Water-based hair-conditioning shampoo comprises: (a) 2.5-30 wt.% of at least one nonionic surfactant, provided that the nonionic surfactant content is at least 20 wt.% of the total surfactant content; and (b) 0.25-0.75 wt.% of a mixture of a C10-C18 alkyl ether sulfate (I), and a diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride polymer (II), the (I):(II) weight ratio being 5-15:1. Water-based hair-conditioning shampoo comprises: (a) 2.5-30 wt.% of at least one nonionic surfactant, provided that the nonionic surfactant content is at least 20 wt.% of the total surfactant content; and (b) 0.25-0.75 wt.% of a mixture of a C10-C18 alkyl ether sulfate (I), optionally in ammonium, amine or alkali metal salt form, and a diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride polymer (II), the (I):(II) weight ratio being 5-15:1. Description

The present invention relates to a liquid personal cleanser, in particular a conditioning shampoo based on non-ionic surfactants.

Conditioning shampoos have been known for a long time. They usually contain anionic surfactants, in particular alkyl ether sulfates or their salts, and as conditioning agents cationic polymers, preferably cellulose ether derivatives of the "Polymer JR ^R " type or else diallyldimethylammonium chloride polymers of the "Merquat ^R " type.

It has also been suggested to use such personal cleansers as shampoos Based on non-ionic surfactants.

Surprisingly, it was found that some of the polymers commonly used as hair conditioning agents, namely the diallyldimethylammonium chloride polymers, in particular polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride, which is also known under the trade name "Merquat 100 ^R ", is not compatible in anionic and nonionic bases.

The present invention is based on the task of a liquid body cleanser detergent, especially an aqueous conditioning shampoo, the non-ion ical surfactants to develop, which is a diallyldimethylammonium chloride polymer contains.

The solution to this problem consists in a liquid personal cleanser containing 2.5 to 30% by weight of at least one nonionic surfactant, calculated on the total composition, the proportion of this nonionic surfactant being at least 20% by weight of the total surfactant content, as well as 0.25 to 7.5% by weight, calculated on the total composition, of a mixture of at least one C ₁₀ -C ₁₈ alkyl ether sulfate and / or an ammonium or alkali salt of the same (A) and a dialkyldimethyl ammonium chloride polymer (B ) in the weight ratio of A: B from 5: 1 to 15: 1, preferably about 6: 1 to 10: 1.

The preferred dimethyldiallylammonium chloride polymer used is its homopolymer, namely polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride, also known under the trade name "Merquat 100 ^R ".

This makes it possible to use about 0.1 in the mean instead of the maximum otherwise usable % By weight of the polymer up to 1.5% by weight of the same, calculated on the total average, to incorporate.

The molecular weight of the polymer is preferably between about 50,000 and about 1,500,000, especially between about 170,000 and about 1,000,000.

The preferred method of making the personal cleanser of the invention is as follows:
First, a mixture of C ₁₀ -C ₁₈ alkyl ether sulfate, preferably with an average degree of ethoxylation between about 1 and 4, in particular an average of about 2 to 3 moles of ethylene oxide, where the alkyl group can preferably be a lauryl, myristyl or cocoalkyl group, and the polydimethyldiallylammonium chloride in an approximately equimolar ratio, corresponding to a weight ratio of approximately 5: 1 to approximately 15: 1, in particular approximately 6: 1 to approximately 10: 1, and then mixed with the shampoo base based on at least one nonionic surfactant.

The average degree of ethoxylation is preferably between about 5 to 25, especially about 10 and 20.

Other suitable nonionic surfactants are amine oxides. Other nonionic surfactants are the known fatty acid polyglycol esters and fatty acid glyceridoxethylates, which are preferably used in a mixture with other nonionic surfactants, e.g. B. the various sorbitan esters, such as polyethylene glycol sorbitan stearic acid ester, or mixed condensates of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, as they are for example under the trade name "Pluronics ^R " on the market.

Other nonionic surfactant components are, for example, fatty acid mono- and dialkanolamides such as coconut fatty acid monoethanolamide and myristic fatty acid monoiso propanolamide, which can also be used as an additional foam booster.

Mixtures of various nonionic surfactants are preferably used.

The compositions according to the invention can be used as a further surfactant component amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactants, preferably in an amount of about 1 to about 20, in particular from about 2 to about 15, for example about 2.5 to about 10% by weight, based on the total composition.

As such, the various known betaines such as fatty acid in particular to name amidoalkylbetaines and sulfobetaines, for example laurylhydroxysulfobetaine; also long chain alkyl amino acids such as cocoaminoacetate, cocoaminopropionate and Sodium cocoamphopropionate and acetate have been found to be suitable.

A further preferred anionic surfactant group which can additionally be used in the shampoos according to the invention in a mixture with the surfactants present according to the invention are C ₈ -C ₂₂ -acylaminocarboxylic acids or their water-soluble salts, preferably in an amount of 0.5 to 10, in particular 1 to 7.5% by weight, calculated on the total composition.

N-Lauroyl glutamate is particularly preferred, in particular as the sodium salt. Other suitable N-acylaminocarboxylic acids are, for example, N-lauroyl sarcosinate, NC ₁₂ -C ₁₈ -acylaspartic acid, N-myristoyl sarcosinate, N-oleoyl sarcosinate, N-lauroylmethylalanine, N-lauroyllysine and N-lauroylaminopropylglycine, preferably in the form of their water-soluble alkali metal or alkali metal especially sodium salts.

Another preferred ingredient is ethoxy diglycol, preferably in an amount of 0.1 up to 5% by weight of the personal cleanser according to the invention.

Finally, known polysiloxanes can also be used as conditioning agents in the liquid hair detergents according to the invention can also be used. When using this shampoo, an excellent conditioning effect (full Grip, gloss, good wet and dry combability, bounce) achieved.

A water-based conditioning personal cleanser containing 2.5 to 30% by weight, calculated on the total composition, of at least one nonionic surfactant, the proportion of the nonionic surfactant being at least 20% by weight of the total surfactant content, and 0.25 up to 7.5% by weight, calculated on the total composition, of a mixture of at least one C ₁₀ -C ₁₈ alkyl ether sulfate (A) and / or an ammonium, amine or alkali salt thereof and at least one diallyldimethylammonium chloride polymer (B) in the weight ratio of A: B from 5: 1 to 15: 1. 2.
