Abstract

The air is suctioned through a filter (2) into a first chamber, guided into the turbine and released after being compressed into a second chamber. The relation between the position of the outlet at the turbine and the outlet (3) of the second chamber as well as a layer of foam rubber (7) attached to all inner surfaces of the housing (1) results in a remarkable reduction of the noise normally created by the device. The surface of the rubber layer (7) is either plane or ribbed depending on its position in order to increase the noise absorbing effect.

Claims (7)

1. Geräuschdämmendes Gehäuse zur Aufnahme einer Turbine eines Beatmungsgerätes, bestehend aus zwei vollständig verschließbaren Kammern, wobei die erste Kammer über einen Ansaugstutzen für Luft verfügt und die Turbine aufnimmt und die verdichtete Luft in die zweite Kammer abgegeben wird von wo sie über einen Auslassstutzen in einen Luftzufuhrschlauch zum Patienten abgegeben wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
beide Kammern (4, 5) an allen Kammerwänden eine Auskleidung (7) aus Schaumstoff aufweisen,
die erste Kammer (4) eine Austrittsöffnung (9) für den Antriebsmotor (10) der Turbine (6) besitzt und
die Turbine (6) mindestens elastisch gelagert ist in der Austrittsöffnung (9) für den Antriebsmotor (10) und in der Öffnung (11), die die Kammer (4) mit der Kammer (5) verbindet.
