Claims (9)

1. Plattenförmiger optischer Datenträger mit einer Informationsaufzeichnungs­ schicht, auf deren Oberfläche Speicherzonen für Digitalinformation angeordnet sind, wobei der Datenträger eine durchgehende Öffnung für ein Aufnahmeele­ ment einer Auslese- und/oder Einschreibevorrichtung aufweist, dadurch ge­ kennzeichnet, daß die Dicke (4) des Datenträgers (1, 1') kleiner als die Dicke eines standardisierten Datenträgers vom DVD-Typ und größer als die Summe der Dicken der Informationsaufzeichnungsschicht eines standardisierten Daten­ trägers vom DVD-Typ und einer minimal erforderlichen Trägerschicht ist.1.
