Die vorliegende Erfindung ist eine Einrichtung zum Auf- und Umklappen der Streben
und Füße an zusammenlegbaren Stühlen, Tischen, Gartenschirmen u. dgl. Sie besteht
im wesentlichen darin, daß die umklappbaren Streben und Füße an ihren Lagerachsen mit
Schneckenradsegmenten versehen sind, die in eine gemeinschaftliche Schnecke eingreifen,
welche samt ihrer von Hand zu drehenden ίο Achse in der zweckmäßig röhrenförmigen
Stütze des Stuhls, Tisches, Gartenschirmes o. dgl. gelagert ist. Die Schnecken der Streben
und Füße können dabei auf einer gemeinschaftlichen Achse sitzen, so daß bei deren
Drehung die Streben und Füße gleichzeitig auf- oder niedergeklappt werden.The present invention is a device for unfolding and folding the struts

Röhre α ist die Achse b derart eingesetzt, daß sie mit Hilfe des Handgriffes c gedreht, aber
nicht in der Längsrichtung verschoben werden kann. Am oberen Teil der Achse b ist
die Schnecke d und am unteren Teil die Schnecke d1 befestigt. In die Schnecke d greifen
die Schneckenradsegmente e der aus den Röhren f gebildeten umklappbaren Streben ein.
Die Schneckenradsegmente e sind konzentrisch zu den Lagerachsen g der umklappbaren Sreben
angeordnet und treten durch entsprechende Aussparungen h der Röhre α hindurch. In
die Schnecke d1 greifen die Schneckenradsegmente
e1 der umklappbaren röhrenförmigen Füße/1 ein, wobei sie konzentrisch zu den
Lagerachsen g1 der letzteren angeordnet sind. Bei der gezeichneten Ausführungsform sind
je vier Streben und Füße vorgesehen, jedoch ist auch deren Anordnung in anderer Zahl

Wird nun die Achse b mit den beiden Schnecken d und dl durch Bewegen des
Griffes c in Drehung versetzt, so gelangen die Streben f und die Füße f- aus der zusammengeklappten
Stellung nach Abb. 1 in die aufgeklappte Stellung (Abb. 2) 'und umgekehrt.
Ist die letztere erreicht, so wird der Sitz i auf die Streben aufgesetzt. Dieser ist aus
Segeltuch, Leder o. dgl. gedacht, in welches mittels entsprechender Platten die darauf
befestigten Zapfen k eingenäht sind. Diese Zapfen werden in die Enden der hohlen Streben
eingesteckt, worauf der Sitz durch entsprechende Drehung des Griffes c gespannt
wird. Die Spannung des Sitzes tritt übrigens bei seiner Belastung selbsttätig ein. Im zusammengeklappten
