Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of medicine technology, more specifically on liquids and medicines act especially with the help of injectors, but also with the help of dosing devices for the liquid ingestion via mouth.
Especially in the context of diabetes treatment using In ejectors, especially by means of suction injectors the task of a space-saving design to sol devices intended for daily self-treatment easy to hold and handy. Especially with the Insulin treatment and in general treatment with expensive medicines cannot be accepted that the reservoir is incompletely emptied away thrown, although the medicine in changing Quantity is taken from each. In the metabolism fit dosage with glucose measurement already after Cannula puncture or in readiness for a sol Chen, it should be ensured that always be high doses can be injected.
In the publication WO 86/01 728 these Pro partially bleme and solved that in an almost emptied container calculated before use quantities from a full new container in reverse the direction of flow within the metering device could be refilled. Such a solution requires but high operating effort and relatively large Container and endanger the sterility of the liquid leading spaces; even it can only come close to one complete emptying of the containers. To the To achieve this goal has so far had to be a part dose administered and the difference to the total dose can be calculated to determine the residual dose after changing the container to be administered by repeated injection.
The task is inventively ge solves that for each type of medicine at least and preferred wise two (in pairs and usually similar) Liquid container in the injector (or in the "drip bottle "with dosing head for oral therapy) existing which are, each one initially to one (in usually to the same) dosing device free river, after its emptying (or nearer Emptying) an inflow connection from the second loading container via the (or a) dosing device to the sel ben drug exit point (or association, e.g. in a water glass) is opened (if guaranteed approximate residual consumption by inflow from the first container if this is not enough was empty). About signaling after consumption of one correspond to the capacity of the first rail container the amount of liquid and possibly a second sig as a warning against the approach of the ver consumption limit from the second container, the loading should users to renew each used container be prompted.
A preferred example of such a solution is that of FIGS . 3 and 4, in which the medicinal flow to the metering device is preferably carried out by means of compressed gas effect on the flexible container wall (or by pressure generated in some other way from the outside, for example spring action or elasticity of the container itself). The shape of the liquid container can be varied (bellows and bladder are only examples), and a combination of the features with those described for FIGS. 1 and 2 is also possible.
Fig. 1 and 2 above show, in longitudinal section and bottom in cross-section taken along section lines AB and CD two functional stages of an example with passive emptying tank via a metering device by means of the emptying of the container (1) following opening of the valve (3). The two containers ( 1 , 2 ) are superimposed on one another within the envelope cylinder ( 4 ), which is covered in a pot-like manner at the top, while it has the hinged lid ( 5 ) at the bottom. The liquid discharge hoses ( 6 , 7 ), each from egg nem of the container ( 1 , 2 ) lead through a slot ( 9 ) of the enveloping cylinder to the pump hose ( 10 ) of the gear pump ( 11 ), which is only an example of a metering device the liquid discharge point ( 12 ) was selected. About the membrane elastic sections of the liquid drain hoses ( 6 , 7 ) behind the plug cone ( 13 ) to the pump hose ( 10 ) was on the switch for the lower container ( 1 ) ( 14 ) and the valve for the upper ( 2 ) ( 3 ) pushed on. As can be seen in cross section, the latter is designed like pliers, these pliers being closed in stage A shortening the compression spring ( 15 ) and being held in this position by the locking pin ( 16 ). The armature of the pull magnet ( 17 ) is fixedly connected with a locking pin, the power line ( 18 ) —in this case being shown as a broken line — broken in the switch terminal ( 14 ).
Fig. 2 shows the stage 8 , in which the container ( 1 ) is completely empty, so that the elastic hose section of the liquid drain hose ( 6 ) collapses under the suction of the gear pump ( 11 ) and the slightly spring-loaded clamp switch ( 3 ) and thus the power line ( 18 ) was closed to the pull magnet ( 17 ). The locking pin ( 16 ) is now pulled and the pliers of the valve ( 3 ) are opened so that the liquid supply to the gear pump now takes place from the container ( 2 ). Via a signal triggered when the clamp switch closes, the user is prompted to pull the containers ( 1 , 2 ) out of the enveloping cylinder ( 4 ) in the near future, to release the plug cones ( 13 ) from the connection to the pump hose ( 10 ), to exchange the valve ( 3 ) on the liquid drain hose ( 7 ) for the clamp switch ( 14 ), to equip a new (not shown) container with the valve ( 3 ) and first this and then the container ( 2 ) back into the envelope cylinder ( 4 ) insert; finally the plug-in cones have to be reconnected with the pump hose. FIGS. 3 and 4 again show the stages A and B of a preferred because much simpler, Lö sungsbeispieles in longitudinal section.
Fig. 3 zeigt im Stadium A die beiden gefüllten Be hälter (1, 2) als elastische Beutel, deren Grenzfläche (19) als adhasive Klebeflächen lösbar miteinander verbunden sind. Fig. 3 shows in stage A, the two filled containers ( 1 , 2 ) as elastic bags, the interface ( 19 ) of which are releasably connected to one another as adhesive adhesive surfaces. Each container has the opening opening ( 20 ) at the bottom, closed to the inside by the elastic membrane ( 21 ) and tapered into a type of cannula ( 22 ) - continuing here with a lateral bore ( 24 ) and ending in a type of bevel grinding . Both cannula tips are located in stage A from the upper container limit. In the lower opening stub ( 20 ), the cone ( 27 ) with its cutting tip was inserted through the membrane ( 21 ) of the container ( 1 ), thus establishing the connection to the gear pump ( 11 ) via the liquid supply hose ( 6 ). The liquid drain hose ( 6 ) itself is inseparable from the bottom screw cap ( 24 ) - as a disposable part - which is tightly screwed to the envelope cylinder ( 4 ). The also removable head cover ( 28 ) contains sealed the gas supply hose ( 25 ) with the check valve ( 26 ), through which compressed gas introduced by pressure on the wall of the container ( 1 ) drives the liquid to the gear pump ( 14 ).
Fig. 4 shows the stage B , in which the container ( 1 ) is emptied so far that the tip of the cannula ( 22 ) has penetrated the membrane ( 21 ) of the container ( 2 ), so that liquid can drain from it - and the rest of the container ( 1 ) through the side hole ( 13 ) -.
The warning about the liquid drainage from the "reserve" container ( 2 ) can take place after the dispensing quantity has been calculated.
To replace the container, the bottom screw cap ( 24 ) is removed, the cone ( 27 ) is pulled out of the opening neck ( 20 ) of the container ( 1 ) while both containers ( 1 , 2 ) are removed from the envelope cylinder ( 4 ). The two containers ( 1 , 2 ) are detached from one another at their adhesive boundary layer ( 19 ) and the container ( 1 ) is removed. The cone ( 27 ) is now inserted into the opening neck ( 21 ) of a new container (not shown), the lower surface of which is connected to the surface of the container ( 2 ) to form a new boundary layer. Both loading containers are now inserted into the enveloping cylinder ( 4 ) and the bottom cover ( 24 ) is screwed into this again. A "replenishment" of the new container by taking the head cover ( 28 ) from above is also possible. After sealing the envelope cylinder ( 4 ), compressed gas is introduced again. Liquid is now first emptied from the container ( 2 ), which has taken the position of the previous container ( 1 ).
As a fastener between two containers at the interface ( 19 ), a type of bayonet connection or a similar releasable coupling can be provided. The fastening of the containers to one another can be omitted if external pressure directed as pressure medium (for example by means of a compression spring) is used and the guidance of the cannula ( 22 ) into the membrane ( 23 ) is ensured by precise container guidance or funnel shape of the opening connector ( 20 ).
With a correspondingly high elasticity of the container wall and slight tilting of the central axes when they are mutually attached to one another, opening ports ( 20 ) and separate membrane ( 21 ) can be omitted. The invention enables pharmaceutical packaging in easily replaceable smaller containers, so that longer storage near body heat can be avoided.
