An der schrankseitigen Trocknungsluft-Zugangsöffnung 3 ist ein Zuluftkanal 3′ angebracht, der am Abluftsystem eines nicht dargestellten Abluft-Wäschetrockners oder am Kühlluftaustritt des Kondensators (Wärmetauscher) eines derartigen Wäschetrockners anschließbar ist. Die durch den Innenraum des Trockenschrankgehäuses geführte Trocknungsluft wird über einen an der Luftaustrittsöffnung 4 angeschlossenen Abluftkanal 4′ abgeführt. Sowohl der Trocknungsluft-Zugangsöffnung 3 als auch der Luftaustrittsöffnung 4 ist je ein Flusensieb 5 bzw. 6 zugeordnet, um evtl. im Trocknungsluftstrom mitgeführte Staubpartikel oder Flusen zurückzuhalten. Im Zuluftstrom und zwar nach dem Flusensieb 5 kann eine Kammer 7 zur Aufnahme von geeigneten Wäschehilfs- oder Wäschepflegemitteln vorgesehen werden. Solche Mittel können zur Auffrischung der Wäsche bzw. zur Duftzugabe oder zur Knitterbeseitigung eingesetzt werden. Zur Aufnahme der zu trocknenden Wäsche dienen im Trockenschrankgehäuse herausnehmbar eingesetzte korbartige Behälter 8. Der einem sogenannten Abluft- oder Kondensations-Wäschetrockner nachgeschaltete Trockenschrank erfordert weder eine eigene Heizung für die Trocknungsluft noch ein Gebläse, so daß ein solcher kostengünstig hergestellt werden kann.The device for drying laundry shown in the drawing consists of a drying cabinet housing 1 with a door 2 which can be closed on the loading side.
