Description

The invention relates to a device for suctioning the body liquid by means of vacuum especially for puncture or same, with one that can be placed under vacuum, the body fluid like secretion, absorbent container that does not collapse.

Wounds are drained in such a way that a bottle for The secretion is sealed airtight and under vacuum is set. A hose is connected to the bottle free end is placed in the wound area. After opening the Hose, for example by removing a hose clamp the vacuum in the bottle sucks secretions out of the wound the bottle in. Instead of sucking secretions directly a disposable bag can be placed in the bottle in the fixed bottle be provided, in which the secretion is sucked in, then the space between the disposable bag and the surrounding container nis wall is placed under vacuum. The vacuum is applied before applying the actual drainage device on the wound by means of a Pump manufactured after the vacuum from the Device is released and not simultaneously with this one is set.

A disadvantage of this known device is in particular that about a reasonably satisfactory suction with a sufficient amount of secretion to reach the drainage a high vacuum must be applied because the suction decreases with time and when the container is refilled. The high initial vacuum in turn means that in the beginning a high Suction is exercised, leading to additional bleeding as well Tearing tissue particles can lead to one Can clog the hose line. Furthermore this configuration basically leads to the inclusion container can only be partially filled and therefore often sometimes a change of the container is necessary.

It is also known to drain a non-genus moderate device to provide the secretion by means of a Peristaltic pump delivers, so does not work with vacuum and at which the receptacle is arranged behind the peristaltic pump and is not under vacuum. The pump to be used here is complex and expensive, so that it can be used on a larger scale couldn't enforce. Then the patient is at the pump bound and can only move away from it when the drainage is interrupted and the pump is released from it, which is in the remaining is complex.

The object of the invention is therefore to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages of a generic device of the type mentioned at the outset improve that without an excessive initial vacuum a sufficient The secretion container is filled. According to the invention the above-mentioned task at an aforementioned solved by one with the top of the container connected vacuum pump.

By placing the secretion container on top to which the vacuum side of a vacuum pump is connected,  may initially have a small progressively increasing vacuum wound to be drained when the pump is switched on so that a sudden suction, through which tissue parts can be torn into the suction stroke, is omitted. In addition, a largely constant after retracting Vacuum can be maintained, creating a high degree of filling Secretion canister is reached. The invention before direction can also be used for punctures.

A preferred further development of this basic configuration of the Invention provides that on the vacuum side of the vacuum pump a pressure sensor is arranged. The pressure sensor is first connected to a pressure display. It can also be advantageous be further provided that the pressure sensor in a rule Circuit for the vacuum pump is arranged. For regulation the pump is then further provided that the pressure sensor together with a setpoint generator which is preferably a is adjustable, is connected to a comparator whose output is connected to the power level of the pump. By the front The vacuum to be applied can be given an adjustable setpoint can be set as desired. This happens in the Usually by means of a setting button or a keyboard which the desired vacuum values are selected.

Another embodiment provides that in the upper area of the Container a light barrier is arranged. This will prevents the container from exceeding its capacity is filled with secretion. It can also be provided that the light barrier together with the output of the comparator is connected to an AND gate, the output of which is connected to the Lei level of the pump is connected. Alternatively or additionally can be provided that the light barrier with at least is connected to an alarm device. In the former case the pump automatically when the light barrier is interrupted Secretion stopped, while alternatively in the latter case or in addition an alarm is triggered, which is the operating  personnel indicates that the container is full and the must also be replaced with an empty container.

The alarm transmitter can be designed optically or acoustically. Furthermore, the device preferably has a transmission connection to, through which the monitoring generated signals can be picked up and transmitted remotely. As a result, the monitoring of a plurality of drains according to the invention can be carried out gnawing devices in a central location, for example in a sister's room or the like.

A further development of the device according to the invention provides a timer. The timer can also differ be used in the most elegant way. For example, it can provide an overall drainage. It can also be provided to be able to monitor whether in sufficient time, for example of 60 seconds, the set and desired Vacuum is actually reached; if it weren't for that If so, this would indicate a leak, such as a loosened one Indicate hose or the like, whereupon via an ent speaking switching unit also emitted an alarm signal and if necessary the vacuum pump is switched off. For this can an output signal of the timer or one with this connected monitoring device also with the AND gate in the control circuit of the power electronics for the vacuum be connected to the pump.

The invention has a number of advantages. So he can Wide suction or vacuum on the wound to be drained Ranges specified and set to the preset value can be regulated without the requirement of the suction the total suction quantity impaired. A closed system is also achieved. Electronic pressure monitoring ensures accurate pressure Monitoring and display enables, preferably via a Digital display, like seven segment displays. With full  Container is not only issued an alarm signal, but this can also be transmitted remotely, so that a central Monitoring can be done. Due to the adjustable suction a low vacuum should be set especially for bleeding, so that bleeding is not due to excessive suction yet is supported. If in a further embodiment an electri shear accumulator is provided, so a network independent Operation of the device according to the invention over a considerable Time, for example up to four hours, can be achieved that a transport from one hospital to another crane kenhaus is possible. The invention also offers the possibility multiple wounds in one patient supply. If the entire power and control supply by this tension, there are no problems with regard to electrical hazards. The invention offers high mobility in that the one with the drainage wound wound connecting hose directly to the vacuum container is connected, so that its connection with the vacuum pump is disconnected and the container is removed from it , which makes a patient's mobility, for example, for a walk to the toilet etc. but also for example longer period is increased. Through that over the entire Drai The medium vacuum becomes more uniform overall achieved higher suction power, reduced clogging and achieved a higher filling quantity. The bleeding is reduced. Together with the higher filling of the drainage containers kor responds that this may be made smaller can be, so that a reduction in storage capacity is achieved. Finally, the device according to the invention priced so that taking into account the lower required container volume (due to the higher Fill levels) a total for large numbers of containers Cost savings can be achieved.

The device 1 according to the invention for draining wounds or the like has a housing 2 with a holder 3 for a vessel 4 . The vessel 4 is provided with a retaining hook 6 with which it can be detachably attached to the holder 3 of the housing 2 . The vessel 4 has in its cover part 7 two connections 8 , 9 for connecting hoses 11 , 12 . The tube 12 leads to the patient's draining wound and is festge there in a suitable manner known per se, while the tube 11 leads to a suction port 13 on the housing 2 Ge. The suction connection 13 is connected to the negative pressure side of a vacuum pump 14 ( FIG. 2), the positive pressure side of which is led to the surroundings through openings (not shown) in the housing. The device 1 according to the invention has an adjustment button 16 with which the device can be switched off or a certain desired vacuum can be switched on. On the top 17 of the housing 2 , a digital display 18 is also provided to indicate the actual vacuum on the vacuum side of the pump 14 . Furthermore, the top 17 of the housing 2 has optical display elements 19 and an acoustic signal generator 21 in the form of a small loudspeaker.

The device according to the invention purely for drainage, as I said, has a vacuum pump 14 , the stage 22 via a power end from the network, then via a transformer integrated in the housing and a rectifier (not shown) or via a battery also integrated in the housing (if not shown) can be supplied with voltage, the accumulator also being connectable to the mains via the transformer and the rectifier. The control electronics to be described are also supplied in the same way. In this way, the device according to the invention is designed to be independent of the network, so that the patient supplied by it is not connected to the network.

The vacuum side of the vacuum pump 14 is provided with a pressure sensor 23 , which measures the suction side vacuum and indicates it via an impedance converter 24 and an amplifier 26 on the display 18 . The impedance converter makes the high-impedance measuring voltage signal low-impedance, so that the input resistance of the subsequent stages prevents falsification when the measuring voltage collapses, or electromagnetic couplings are excluded.

The output signal of the pressure sensor 23 may optionally further via an amplifier 27 and a further impedance converter 28 , which decouples the control signal to be generated from the measurement signal of the pressure sensor 23 and prevents repercussions, before being fed to a comparator 29 , which is simultaneously supplied by one Setpoint generator 31 a setpoint value is specified, which is adjustable by the button 16 ( Fig. 1). The output signal of the comparator 29 is a control signal which is dependent on the comparison of its measurement input and its setpoint input. The setpoint can, for example, be set as a threshold; if the measured vacuum is too low, the comparator 29 emits an output signal, if the measured vacuum is sufficient or too high, its output is blocked. The control signal given by the comparator 29 is fed to an AND gate 32 , which will be explained further below, and an amplifier 33 for the output signal of the comparator, then the power stage 22 of the vacuum pump 14 .

In the upper area of the container 4 , a light barrier 34 is arranged on the housing 2 , which determines when the container 4 is full. As long as the light barrier 34 is open and thus indicates that the container is not yet full, it gives a finite output signal via a control value switch 36 to a further input of the AND element already mentioned. If the light barrier 34 is interrupted, the output is set to zero and the AND gate 32 is thus blocked. There is an optical fault message via a fault indicator 37 . The threshold switch represents a clear L / O definition. As long as the light barrier is open, it sends a finite signal to an AND gate 38 , which is intended for a collective fault message. If the light barrier is interrupted, a corresponding input of the AND gate 38 is blocked and this gate then gives an alarm signal to the acoustic and optical collective alarm device 21 via an inverter 19 . The signal can be tapped at an external output 39 and used for remote transmission.

The device according to the invention also has a timer 41 , which is triggered by the comparator 29 and which has a pumping time in which the pump is to run. This time is also applied to the AND gate 32 via the line 42 . This therefore means that the pump only runs when an associated vacuum requires replenishment by comparing the actual setpoint of the comparator 29 , moreover the light barrier 34 does not indicate that the bottle is too full and the pumping time specified by the timer 41 has not yet expired. Furthermore, a malfunction indicator 43 is provided, which is activated when the timer 41 has an O signal, that is to say the set time has expired and the comparator 29 requires pumping. This is implemented as follows: If the comparator 29 goes to an L signal, the timer 41 is activated. It gives an L signal at the output for the set time. This is an O signal at the output of inverter 41 b. The AND gate 41 a reports nothing. If the time has run out and evacuation is still required by the comparator, the fault indicator 43 reports a fault. At the same time, the output of the collective fault detector 21 is set to the L signal via the AND gate 38 and the inverter 19 . If the specified time has elapsed, but the pump is still running, this means that the vacuum achieved was not reached in the specified time and therefore leakage, for example through a loosened hose 11 , 12, is to be feared. The further input signal of the nominal element 38 is then set to zero, so that an alarm signal is thereby emitted via the collective fault indicator 21 and the output 39 .

The device according to the invention thus has a closed control loop, through which the vacuum generated by the vacuum pump is fed back via the pressure sensor 23 into the control device (in particular comparator 29 ) of the device. The device according to the invention therefore makes it possible to maintain a desired negative pressure, which is displayed on the display 18 . In addition, when the vessel 4 is full, a fault message is sent via the light barrier 34 and further evacuation is prevented via the AND gate 32 .

If the set vacuum is not reached after a certain time, this fault is also reported via the monitoring unit 43 . In this case, too, a further evacuation is prevented by additionally applying a corresponding signal to an input of the AND gate 32 . The device can be powered both directly from the mains and via the mentioned battery after disconnection from the mains. By means of the displays 19 , which are preferably light-emitting diodes, the battery can be monitored so that a warning signal is also emitted when the power of the battery drops, so that the device can then be reconnected to the mains for charging the battery. From the network, however, separation over a longer period of time (depending on the battery used) can be achieved, for example, up to four hours, so that longer transports from hospital to hospital are possible without the drainage being impaired.

Fig. 3 shows a further simplified embodiment of the invention, which can be used preferably in certain applications.

On the vacuum side of the vacuum pump 14 there are several pressure switches, such as diaphragm pressure switches 51.1, 51.2 and so on, which are set to different pressure values and which are connected in parallel with one another in the voltage supply of the vacuum pump 14 with their circuit element. It is arranged between this and the pressure switches 51.1 , 51.2 ... a manually operable changeover switch 53 , through which the desired vacuum can be selected by selecting a corresponding multi-pressure switch 51.1 , 51.2 ... Between the voltage input 50 , via which a voltage supply by means of a transformer, a rechargeable battery or the like (which is not shown in each case) and the pressure switches 51.1 , 51.2 , a control lamp 56 is initially provided, which indicates the operating activity of the vacuum pump 14 . Instead of the single common control lamp 56 , a control lamp, preferably in the form of a LE, can also be provided in each branch of a pressure switch 51.1 , which indicates the selected vacuum size in good time. Furthermore, the switching member of a relay 54 is disposed in the power supply of the vacuum pump 14, which interrupt the power supply to the vacuum pump 14 and can switch on a signal lamp 57 at the same time by the switching element between the power supply line and the supply of the signal lamp switches 57th The relay 54 is switched by a light barrier 34 , as described with reference to FIG. 2, the fill level of the container overnight. It can also be connected directly to a signal detector, such as a signal lamp 37 , so that it is immediately recognizable that the vacuum pump 14 is switched off due to the maximum filling level being reached. This is particularly important, the fault indicator 57 is designed as a collective fault indicator accordingly to the fault indicator 21 of the embodiment in FIG. 2, that is to say it has further inputs.

In particular, individual elements of the embodiment of FIGS. 2 and 3 can be combined with one another. For example, an optical vacuum indicator, which in the embodiment of FIG. 2 can also be provided in the embodiment of FIG. 3; instead, a manometer etc. can also be provided for quantitative display of the vacuum.
