Abstract

The rotation detector, indicating the rotation rate and the direction of a rotating ferromagnetic component (1), uses a magnetic field sensitive element (3) providing a signal dependent on the rotational direction upon proximity of the ferromagnetic component (1). A pair of spaced anti-parallel permanent magnets (2a, 2b) focuses the magnetic flux to a point when the ferromagnetic component (1) is directly above the first magnet (2a). The flux is min. when the component (1) is between the magnets (2a, 2b) and a second flux focus when it lies directly above the second magnet (26) so that the field sensitive element (3) provides an AC voltage signal. The pulse ratio of the latter is evaluated to determine the direction of rotation, e.g. via an electronic evaluation stage. ADVANTAGE - Universal application, suitable for extreme environmental conditions.

Description

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for non-contact, rotational direction-detecting speed measurement rotating ferromagnetic parts. Arrangements are known which reduce the distortion of the magnetic Stray field of one or more permanent magnets passing ferromagnetic parts, e.g. B. by a tooth Gear, using magnetic field sensitive components use for speed measurement or direction detection. Here is the magnetic field sensitive component on the moving ferromagnetic part facing side of the Permanent magnet arrangement (DE OS 34 26 704) and is therefore large exposed to mechanical and thermal loads. This is somewhat disadvantageous since it is sensitive to magnetic fields Components, in particular magnetoresistive components, have temperature-dependent sensitivities. Another invention (DE OS 20 20 122) provides for use from only one sensor, but two as differential sensors switched, contains magnetic field sensitive resistors that To enable detection of the direction of rotation. However, they have to two magnetic field-dependent resistors and those in series interconnected reference resistors along the circumference arranged of the rotating ferromagnetic part and to the Geometry of the gear can be adjusted. To be clear To get the signal indicating the direction of rotation, that signal-triggering gear and the sensor with regard to their Geometry must be coordinated. It becomes a universal one Use, in particular retrofitting existing systems Speed or direction of rotation measurement technology, difficult.

The object of the invention is accordingly a method and Arrangement for non-contact, direction of rotation detection Speed measurement on rotating ferromagnetic parts create, avoids the disadvantages mentioned, moreover is universally applicable and can be retrofitted and under extreme Ambient conditions can be used. The object is achieved in that in a magnetic field sensitive device, which, arranged on the Central axis behind two axially magnetized, antiparallel in a certain distance and angle to each other Permanent magnets when a ferromagnetic part passes a directional signal is generated. The magnetic field sensitive component is on the Ferromagnetic part facing away from the permanent magnets arranged. When a ferromagnetic part approaches, the magnetic Field of the two permanent magnets distorted in its direction, whereby the magnetic flux through the magnetic field sensitive component to the point where the ferromagnetic part becomes stronger stands directly above the first permanent magnet, then falls off and reached the minimum between the two permanent magnets. After that the course of the function is repeated over the second Permanent magnets with opposite polarity.

The distortion of the magnetic field at the same time Changing the strength of the magnetic flux is in the magnet field-sensitive component converted into a voltage signal. Depending on the direction of approach of the ferromagnetic part of the magnetic field sensitive component first a positive or negative pulse generated, causing one of the direction of rotation dependent significant signal is generated. In the evaluation electronics, after the DC component, the amplification and triggering of the signal Evaluation of the number of pulses per unit of time to determine the Speed and the comparison of the trigger signal with the pause signal for direction detection. The choice of Trigger hysteresis generates a trigger signal that depends on the direction of rotation is larger or smaller than the pause signal. Each according to the direction of rotation z. B. a static H or L signal be formed.

Fig. 1 zeigt eine erfindungsgemäße Anordnung. Fig. 1 shows an arrangement according to the invention.

Fig. 2 shows the function course of the magnetic field strength without influence of a ferromagnetic part 1.

Fig. 3 shows the function of the output voltage on the magnetic field-sensitive component 3 when a ferro-magnetic part 1 passes and the trigger signals in clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.

Fig. 1 shows an arrangement using a magnetoresistive component 3 , with the sensitive surface on the central axis between two identical, axially magnetized, antiparallel arranged at a certain distance permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b outside the space between the two permanent magnets 2 a, 2nd b is arranged. Without the influence of a ferromagnetic part 1 , on the axis shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1, as shown in FIG. 2, the antisymmetric function curve of the components H xs and H ys of the magnetic field strength along, on the biasing direction (H xs ) and sensitive direction (H ys ) related axes. The curves H x1 and H y1 represent the function course of two parallel and the curves H x2 and H y2 the function course of two permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b arranged at an appropriate angle to one another. The comparison of the two function courses shows that the curves H x2 and H y2 are narrower, which results in a higher resolution of passing ferromagnetic parts, but a lower distance resolution. The expediency of the permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b arranged at an angle is given if between the distance of the permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b, the distance of the permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b to the magnetic field-sensitive component 3 , the resolution of ferromagnetic parts 1 , the angle itself and the distance resolution are optimal. Another possibility is to bend the two permanent magnets ( 2 a, 2 b) outwards in the case of large ferromagnetic bodies, as a result of which these curves become wider than the curves H x1 and H y1 , but a lower resolution of ferromagnetic parts 1, but a greater range resolution .

The size of the magnetic field strength at the location of the sensitive surface of the magnetoresistive component 3 depends on the distance to the permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b and their angle to one another and can be optimized. When a ferromagnetic part 1 , e.g. B. the tooth of a gear, the stray magnetic field of the permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b is distorted depending on the respective position of the ferromagnetic part 1 . The temporal course of the output voltage of the magnetoresistive component 3 from the changes in the field strength components H xs and H ys is dependent on the direction of movement of the ferromagnetic part 1 with regard to its polarity. The DC field component contained in each case is determined by the evaluation electronics 4 , e.g. B. be eliminated by an RC element. The magnetic field signal is converted by means of the magnetoresistive component 3 into an output voltage signal which is dependent on H xs and is proportional to H ys and is supplied to the evaluation electronics 4 . The output voltage signal generated in the magnetoresistive component 3 is shown, as shown in FIG. 3, depending on the direction of rotation. Depending on the arrangement of the permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b, the positive signal is generated first with a clockwise rotation after the pause and the negative signal is generated first with a counterclockwise rotation ( FIG. 3). After the output voltage signal has been amplified, triggering takes place. The triggering takes place at the voltage level of points A and B in FIG. 3, point A representing the start and point B the end of the triggering. It is also conceivable to swap the start and end of the trigger, which also swaps the direction signal. With clockwise rotation, triggering takes place via the plus and minus pulse and with counterclockwise rotation via plus pulse, pause and minus pulse. Depending on the direction of rotation, trigger pulses of different lengths result, which are smaller or larger than half the period, depending on clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation. These duty cycles are z. B. evaluated in a forward and backward counting block and in a follow-up logic a static, the direction of rotation representing H or L signal is generated. In addition, the number of trigger pulses per unit of time is counted and the number of revolutions per unit of time is determined as a function of the number of ferromagnetic bodies (teeth, screws or the like) arranged on the circumference. The permanent magnets 2 a, 2 b, the magnetic field-dependent resistor 3 and the evaluation electronics 4 are arranged for mechanical protection in a housing 5 made of weakly magnetic material.
