Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a hollow fiber mat segment in which the hollow threads as wefts are substantially parallel are arranged and integrated by stitch-forming warp threads and are connected. The invention relates also a hollow fiber mat made from it as well a process for their manufacture.
Hollow thread mats, which are usually made from across the mat length hollow fibers closely lined up along the mat are interwoven or forged by threads, best hen are well known (DE-OS 28 25 065). you find Use as a heat or mass exchanger in technical Area, for example in reverse osmosis, in the Ultra or microfiltration and other fields. Farther are such hollow fiber mats in large numbers in medicine African area, especially for the treatment of blood for example for dialysis, blood oxygenation, plasma separation, Hemofiltration etc. used. Usually the Hollow thread mats installed in modules, for example as cross-wound mat, as be in DE-OS 38 03 693 are written.
All are known for the hollow fiber mat according to the invention Hollow threads, sometimes as hollow fibers or capillaries be designated. In particular, po red or microporous hollow fibers suitable, which are then also Membrane. Such hollow threads (membranes) are known per se, as well as their dimensions with respect to the Inside or outside diameter and the wall thickness as well as the Kind of materials. So are the outside diameters of Hollow threads for medical use in general between 150 to 700 µm and with hollow threads for the gastr voltage down to 30 µm, and they can be the most natural or synthetic polymers stand.
In the known prior art for the production of Hohlfa denmatten is generally carried out so that hollow threads cut into pieces of approximately the same length after production be arranged in parallel and individually or be bundled together so that they do not can slip. This can be done, for example, in that the hollow fibers lying in a plane by perpendicular to these Hollow threads, but also lying in this plane, arranged Yarns using, for example, fringe bandages or chains stitch seam are connected. According to DE 38 39 567 can now such hollow fibers or hollow fiber bundles, at which the cut hollow threads represent the weft threads len and the warp thread usually ver in the longitudinal direction runs, as mat segments zigzag or meandering are placed on top of each other. You get a Hohlfa denmatte, in which the open ends of the hollow filaments when entering build into a module by spinning using a suitable one Material, for example a polyurethane, closed become.
According to the prior art listed above, it was previously however not possible, particularly sensitive membranes or to process those that already contain an inner filling work.
The present invention is therefore based on the object to provide a hollow fiber mat segment that not only meets the aforementioned conditions, but also in a simple way and there with economically.
This task is done with a generic hollow thread Mat segment solved according to the invention in that it is the weft around an endless, not cut Hollow thread acts.
Also in the hollow fiber mat segment or the hollow fiber mat composed of it has the hollow threads preferably acts as a semipermeable membrane Wall, so it is a so-called hollow filament meme bran.
The hollow thread of the hollow thread mat segment according to the invention is an endless hollow thread if it is at the respective end of the mat segment is stored as a loop. After laying the loop becomes the hollow thread again parallel to the previous one rest of the same and at the other end of the Mat segments in turn filed as a loop. This can be so long until the area of the mat segment (e.g. 10 × 10 cm) covered with hollow fibers in a simple position is.
In contrast to the known prior art also produce hollow fiber mat segments in which the Hollow thread filled with a liquid or a fluid is because the hollow thread remains as a whole and not is cut off, causing the contents of the hollow thread would run.
Fluid is used in the context of the present invention Gas mixture, for example air or natural gas or a river liquid itself or one in which gas (Gasge mixed) in the form of gas bubbles or in dissolved form or can be chemically bound, understood, the Fluid in both cases is also a vapor component may contain.
For liquids already in the hollow thread it is preferably those that the lumen of the Stabilize the hollow thread or those that precede the hollow thread Protect dehydration.
According to the invention, several hollow fiber mat segments can also be used meandering or zigzag (parallel) on top of each other be laid so that you have a hollow fiber mat receives that from several individual hollow fiber mat segments consists.
The individual hollow fiber mat segments preferably have the exact same number of threads.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is but also possible that the hollow fiber mat segments under have different thread numbers, these thread numbers for example, can alternate.
Between the individual hollow fiber mat segments, the of Hollow thread continued segment to segment Have length. This makes it easy to hollow thread mats of a certain thread length or with a certain so-called mat gap to produce. This is also a safe separation of the individual hollow fiber mat segments without Possible damage to the effective membrane (surface).
The task mentioned above is also solved by a process for producing a hollow fiber mat, characterized in that the individual hollow fiber mats segments are meandered on top of each other.
The method according to the invention eliminates one in the state the previously complex technology step, namely that Sealing the capillary ends. Because of the loop formation at the end of the respective mat side there is already a closed one Sene membrane has been generated, which no longer additionally must be sealed.
Another advantage of the hollow fiber mat according to the invention lies in the fact that it consists of only a single endless capillary can be made so that membranes with inside filling can be used. These remain until after Embedding process closed so that no interference or Loss of internal filling occurs.
The method also has the advantage that Mem branches that are only mechanically resilient, processed can be. In addition, the method has the advantage that the Length of material that is normally used for sealing the Ka pillare is not required.
With a corresponding machine requirement, the Possibility given, the hollow fiber mat on-line, d. H. from to produce freshly spun hollow fibers. Therefore can the hollow fiber mats are manufactured very inexpensively.
It is also possible according to the invention, the hollow fiber mat automatically secure and defined, because the Mat gap between the individual hollow fiber mat segments by means of suitable optical or mechanical sensors can be grasped. You get in a simple technical way and manner and under low cost conditions Hollow thread mats from defined hollow thread mat segments.
auch zweifädig, d. h. zwei Fäden pro Kettfadenschlaufe her
gestellt.
verkettet. Als Membranmaterial wurden die folgenden, als
Industrieware erhältlichen Membranen verwendet:
Cuprophan®, Hemophan®, Oxyphan®, Plasmaphan®
(alle Fa. Akzo).Hollow thread mats according to the invention, which have proven themselves in practice, consisted of stacked hollow thread mat segments. The hollow thread mat segments were single-thread, ie one thread per warp thread loop or two-thread, ie two threads per warp thread loop. The hollow thread was always deposited as a continuous thread with a loop within the respective mat segment level and linked in the transverse direction (but in the same plane) by, for example, multifilament yarns. The following membranes, available as industrial goods, were used as membrane material:
Cuprophan®, Hemophan®, Oxyphan®, Plasmaphan®
(all Akzo).
The mat production was both single thread, d. H. one thread per warp thread loop, as well as two threads, d. H. two threads per, warp thread loop.
It was also easily possible to use Hohlfa denim from hollow fibers of cellulose acetate, Polyacrylonitrile, polysulfone, polyether sulfone, sulfonated To produce polyethersulfone and other polymer materials.
The use of the hollow fiber mat according to the invention is on possible in many ways. For example, hydro phile microfiltration membranes in a suitable form for Iso yeast in sparkling wine (champagne) production be used. For this, the hollow thread mats, in ent cut to size, in the form of "dead end "modules are used. The" dead-end "modules are concerned it is preferably those in which the hollow thread U- is used in the form.
Those in the sparkling wine production are based on the bottle neck setting yeast is isolated in the hollow filaments and can later be easily separated from the sparkling wine.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings.

In Fig. 2 it is shown that several hollow fiber mat segments can be designed so that they each have exactly the same number of threads per hollow fiber segment, and that the distance between the individual hollow fiber segments can be chosen as long as desired.
Not shown is a version in which the hollow thread mat segments, for example, an alternating number of Have threads per hollow thread segment.
In Fig. 3 it is shown how a hollow fiber mat, which in this figure consists of seven individual hollow fiber mat segments, can be produced by stacking several hollow fiber mat segments. Here again, the hollow threads 2 are endless, ie they are each returned in a loop 7 into the mat surface and thereby also enable the production of hollow thread mats with filled hollow threads, while the warp threads 1 run in the longitudinal direction.
In Fig. 4 is a disk-shaped hollow fiber module is shown in perspective. Herge represents this module in accordance with FIG by punching out a ent speaking number of segments of a one above the other in several layers deposited hollow fiber mat. 3. For this purpose, the end portions of the hollow filaments are embedded in a curable casting compound 3 and a part of he cured potting compound 3 for exposing Lumen of the hollow filaments 2 removed. The direction of flow for the fluid to be treated is indicated by the arrows 4 . From the flow direction of the permeate from the hollow filaments 2 is indicated by the arrows 5 directed away from the casting compound body 3 . The hollow threads 2 , which are integrated and connected to one another by the stitch-forming warp threads 1 , are arranged here in planes which are essentially perpendicular to the direction of flow 4 and thus perpendicular to the axis direction of the module and are therefore parallel to one another. The casting compound body 3 , in which the end regions of the hollow fibers 2 are embedded, is in this case annular and forms a through-flow channel for the fluid to be treated, through which the non-embedded medium loading regions of the hollow fibers 2 and of course also the warp threads 1 are guided. It is also indicated that all the hollow threads 2 open out on the outer circumferential surface (peripheral surface) 6 of the casting compound body 3 . Such orifices are located on the entire peripheral surface 6 of the casting compound body 3 , since the hollow threads 2 are open at both ends.
An embodiment is not shown in which the Hollow threads are used in so-called "dead-end" modules. In these modules are the hollow thread as a U-shaped loop embedded on one side and are then in this form, at for example for microfiltration.
