B. Stickstoff, Argon) gefüllt.DE 40 14 246 A1 describes a heating device in one Protective tube arranged heating wire made of tungsten or molybdenum be knows, the protective tube consists of ceramic material, is hermetically sealed and bushings for elec has trical connection of the heating wire. To avoid the Oxidation of the heating wire is the protective tube with inert gas (e.g. Nitrogen, argon).

Zum allgemeinen Hintergrund wird noch auf die Druckschriften DE 14 76 485 A, US-PS 4 103 277 und US-PS 5 195 165 verwiesen.The general background is still on the publications DE 14 76 485 A, US-PS 4 103 277 and US-PS 5 195 165 referenced.

The invention has for its object a heating device to be trained so that this compared to the generic state the technology has a much better durability.

The object is according to the invention by the characterizing note male of claim 1 solved.

An advantage of the heating device according to the invention is that that it works on the principle of a halogen lamp, that is Protective tube is filled with a noble gas / halide gas mixture and a high-melting heating wire is used, which in Be driven the heating element through a cycle with the gas mix is constantly evaporated and renewed, making life duration of the heating device compared to known heating device tion is significantly increased.

Further advantages and refinements of the invention result from the other subclaims and the description.

In the drawing, the invention is explained in more detail based on a game Ausführungsbei. It shows a schematically illustrated exhaust gas aftertreatment device 1 with a main catalytic converter 2 and a starting catalytic converter 3 , which is arranged in an exhaust pipe 4 of an internal combustion engine (not shown) in a manner known in principle. In the honeycomb body 5 of the starting catalytic converter 3 , for the sake of its faster heating, heating devices 6 and 7 according to the invention are arranged which are in direct contact with the catalyst honeycomb body 5 to improve the heat transfer. Each of the heating devices 6 and 7 comprises a protective tube 8 made of ceramic or metallic material, in which an electric heating wire 9 made of high-melting tungsten is arranged. Because of the chemically active atmosphere in the start catalyst 5 , the protective tube 8 is hermetically sealed against its environment. Furthermore, the protective tube 8 bushings 10 and 11 for electrical connection of the Heizdrah tes 9th In addition, there is a pressurized gas filling made of a noble gas / halide gas mixture in the protective tube 8 , where the heating wire 9 in the operation of the heating devices 6 , 7 is continuously evaporated and renewed by a circular process with the noble gas / halide gas mixture. Thus each of the Heizein devices 6 , 7 works on the principle of a halogen lamp, but with the difference that the ceramic protective tube 8 is used instead of a quartz glass bulb because of the devitrification occurring in quartz glass at high temperatures and chemically active atmosphere (here exhaust gas).

In a further embodiment of the invention, a halo lamp which is hermetically sealed from its surroundings is arranged in the protective tube 8 . Furthermore, the heating device according to the invention can also be used in soot burn-off filters or underbody catalysts and of course the arrangement of the individual heating devices in the exhaust gas aftertreatment device can be varied as desired.
