Abstract
Description
To our knowledge, bedridden patients are nowadays absent Watching person indirectly only monitored by one if disconnected the device z. B. ECG monitor, or ventilator an electronic warning signal to the for Monitoring responsible persons is forwarded. Restlessness of bedridden men As a rule, people who can endanger these people are not at home Sensitivity of the observers is only recognized when a hazard has already occurred is. So-called bed rails are usually used in confused, restless patients, which should make it difficult for the patient to leave the bed without supervision, not infrequently This procedure leads to confused patients trying to climb over the bed rail t and thus an even higher risk of falling with a correspondingly higher risk of injury stop driving. In addition, the new childcare law has the use of this so-called bed lattice problematized in such a way that hereby the fact of freedom freedom exercise can be given.
To avoid endangering bedridden people before they occur (e.g. due to unrest Disconnection from the ventilator caused by unstable conditions Open removal of infusion tubes, catheters, pacemaker probes, drain the drainage systems, feeding tubes; the Pa out of bed) the use of the bed light barrier monitoring system is indicated to detect this danger caused by the patient's restlessness at an early stage.
A patient who B. can not express linguistically and possibly due to a pronounced paralysis Upper limbs and lower limbs can only move slightly accordingly small movements break through the light barrier in order to to actively call for personnel.
Depending on the requirements, directly on the bed frame or in the immediate vicinity of the bed (depending on the radius of action of the bedridden person to be monitored) one or more Photoelectric sensors installed in such a way that in the event of unrest (e.g. throwing around and Holding up your arms and legs, straightening your upper body, turning your head, movements that one Get up from bed, etc.) the light beam is interrupted by the moving body part is, so that an electrical impulse is generated, which via a pending monitoring system alarming persons not present who are responsible for the observation.
A light barrier ( 1 ) is supplied with energy from a 24 V transformer ( 5 ). A standard socket ( 6 ) is connected to the relay of the light barrier via a two-pole cable, which makes contact with the nurse call system, this cable is interrupted by a toggle switch ( 7 ). The light barrier itself is mounted on a square tube ( 3 ) with a side length of 1.5 cm and a length of approx. 40 cm.This square tube is inserted into a U-shaped frame ( 4 ) mounted on the bed frame, can be varied in length and is replaced by a the socket inserted knurled screw fixed. The reflector ( 2 ) is also mounted on a square tube with a side length of 15 mm, is also inserted into a U-shaped socket attached to the bed frame, is variable in length and can also be fixed with a knurled screw inserted in the U-socket
The light barrier and reflector are now adjusted so that the light beam emitted by the light barrier is reflected back by the reflector and is taken up again by the light barrier so that the light barrier can be set up with this. If the light barrier is now interrupted by a part of the body of the bedridden person (but also by moving bedding, etc.), the surveillance personnel are alerted via the coupling with the pending surveillance system.
The light barrier parts or the square guide tube and also the U-shaped sockets can can be variably mounted on the head and foot end of the bed so that the exit side can be monitored is can also be mounted on both sides of the bed so that head movements of the Patients become monitorable.
Instead of using square tubes with variable lengths in U sockets, photoelectric sensor and Reflector can also be mounted on flexible metal spirals and can thus be freely aligned in the room. The connection cable from the photoelectric sensor to the existing monitoring system is included provided with a switch to act on the bed of the bedridden patient, or on the bed gerigen itself (care, relatives, doctor, etc.) to make unnecessary alarm signaling avoidable.
B. Oberkörper aufrichten, Bein zur Seite strecken, etc.).In the case of respiratory patients under anesthesia, the use of an ultra-motion detector is also necessary conceivable, since here the patient remains completely calm during controlled ventilation and corresponding movements, which indicate a reduction in the anesthetic depth, are therefore more sensible Way to provoke an alarm signal. However, the use of ultrasonic motion detectors only seems In this case it makes sense, with other bedridden patients every movement, even every Wed nimal and normal movement lead to an alarm, the bed light barrier monitoring system allows minimal or normal movements that are normal for the bedridden patient without constantly triggering an alarm, since the patient’s room of Alarm is given, in size, so to speak, can be varied infinitely (by monitoring small movements z. B. head turns, head movements, up to large movements such. B. upper body stand up, stretch your leg to the side, etc.).
I want to emphasize it again: on the one hand, the bed light barrier monitoring system can are used for bedridden people who are in some way conscious and whose consciousness disturbance can cause a hazard of any kind to be indirectly monitored. On the other hand, it can also be used in such a way that patients who are unable are able to respond Coordinate complex movements to actively trigger an alarm signal in the Be displaced by minimal uncomplicated movements that interrupt the situation Photoelectric sensor leads to actively trigger an alarm signal that the caregiver to the Leads the patient's bed. So it doesn't always have to be the bed, it can also be a rest be an armchair, so the BLÜS can also be used on a mobile basis if the support structure is appropriate is designed for. B. light barrier transmitter and reflector each mounted on a mobile base with wheels, Possibly additionally on a flexible metal spiral, the monitoring room generously variable tend.
For patients with Z.n. apoplectic insult, i.e. stroke, which is often a spatial, constructive disorder, or also implies an ideatory apraxia, hemianopsia or hemineglect, can the BLÜS alarm signaling, that is, calling the caregivers Simplify considerably, since the procedures for triggering signals are much easier than with conventional devices for triggering alarm signals (e.g. nurse bell). The patient has to first locate the alarm device here, seek it by hand (often complicated by the fact that the Manual control units for nurse monitoring systems nowadays often have multiple radio tions are united, i.e. the correct button must first be found and pressed). But Even simple doorbell switches can be used for patients with these disorders be problematic that the active triggering of an alarm signal does not occur at all or too late. Of the Training expenditure for the use of the BLÜS as an active alarm system is considerably less start.
Depending on the area of application, the photoelectric sensors and reflectors used are differentiated used dimensionally.
To monitor anesthetized patients requiring ventilation, the use of regular patients is mandatory Light barrier tapes that cover the entire air space above the bedspread, so to speak cover as completely as possible, displayed.
In patients where special movements such. B. monitored or avoided a part of the body the use of one or more two-dimensional light may be sufficient barrier systems, for the active triggering of the alarm signal is to attach a short distance Light barrier system sufficient.
Tape-like light barrier systems that monitor the entire air space above the bed must be constructed in such a way that the workflow of the caregiver at the patient 's bed and affect the patient as little as possible, the integration of such systems is conceivable the framework of the upper head and foot plate of the bed, both height and side adjustable. So The construction of additional equipment on the intensive care bed burdens the work area, which is often from the front in through many diverse devices (ventilator, EKG / blood pressure monitors, infusion and Perfusion stand systems, catheters and other probe systems) is severely restricted, not additionally.
