Dental tool for drilling and milling The usual ones up to now
Dental drills are designed in such a way that one can either only work in the direction of their axis.
d. H. can work in depth or at right angles to it and remove material. Farther
special drills are known which are used to drill a drilled, approximately cylindrical
Tooth opening to give undercut walls so that the filling to be introduced
gets a good anchorage. To now the most diverse that occur in dental drilling technology
To be able to meet requirements with a single drill and accordingly
also work in a single operation and without having to change the drill
to be able to (as is well known, the interruption of such work already means for the
psychological stress for one or the other dental patient), is according to the invention
created a new drill shape, which is characterized in that the drill
or milling cutters with one or more constrictions of any course and on
its entire surface, d. H. also at the constricted areas, with cutting
or milled edges.
To explain the invention, exemplary embodiments are shown in the drawing
shown, namely shows: Fig. i a new milling cutter in a diagrammatic representation
and FIGS. a to 6 further milling cutter forms in a schematic design in elevation.
7 to 10 show the operation of a drill on a tooth.
liegenden Kegelspitzen an.
The drill according to FIG. I, which is a very large enlargement of a normal drill, has a constriction a, which is created by the fact that two truncated cones c, d, facing one another with their imaginary cone tips, adjoin the cylindrical part b. Two drill cones e, f with cone tips in opposite directions are attached to the base circles of these constriction cones c, d. The drill cone e has a real point, while the drill cone f merges with a cylindrical part f1 into the drill shank g. The drill shank and its union with the actual drilling tool can take place in the otherwise customary or another suitable design. The surfaces belonging to the constriction a as well as the conical or truncated conical surfaces of the drill parts e and f are provided with cutting and milling edges in the usual way.
Fig.3 bis 6 sind in Fig.3 zwei eiförmige Bohrerabschnitte lz, hl, in Fig. q. zwei
kugelförmige Bohrerabschnitte i, il miteinander vereinigt.
" .In the embodiment according to FIG. A, which is shown schematically and also on a large scale, there is a slim-conical constriction a, to which the two drill cones e and f adjoin in the manner described. c and d are the likewise frustoconical intermediate parts, but in which the cylindrical drilling part b is missing. Otherwise, as in the embodiments according to FIGS. 3 to 6, the same cutting edge arrangement is to be thought of as being attached, as is indicated by FIG. In the embodiments according to FIGS. 3 to 6, FIG. 3 shows two egg-shaped drill sections lz, hl, in FIG. Q. two spherical drill sections i, il combined with one another. According to FIG. 5, two drill sections are shown, each composed of a spherical part k and a frustoconical part k1, while in FIG. 6 fully spherical profiles In, Will are combined with a cylindrical shank m2. In all cases, the surface of the drilling sections is to be thought of as being occupied by cutting edges, while the rest of the constriction is to be found. ".
The way of using the new drill, which is shown schematically in FIGS. 7 to 10
is shown as follows.
Es ist ein Bohrer von der Ausführungsweise gemäß Fig. i vorausgesetzt;
abgesenkt werden.A drill of the embodiment according to FIG. 1 is assumed;
with this is first a hole in the through feed in the direction of arrow x
-Tooth z to be treated is drilled, the tapered drilling surface of the drill section
e is effective. With regard to the fact that the entire drilling surface has working cutting edges
is provided, the advance of the drill in the direction of the arrow x1 or x2
(Fig. 8) a cavity corresponding to the drill profile with undercut surfaces
evoked. If the lower part s1 of the sole s is to be widened, then it is sufficient
it to move the drill in the direction of the arrow x3, i.e. upwards, whereby
the pre-existing parts s = protruding into the cavity are removed.
If you push the drill completely out of the cavity, a smooth one is created
Boundary wall s3. Within this, the drill can then again be in the middle
attached and by shifting in the direction of the arrow x the bottom of the cavity - further
be lowered.
All of this work can be done without the need for the drilling tool
must be replaced. It is also noteworthy in the new tool that
it works with a surface that is much larger than that of conventional drills.
Another advantage of the subject matter of the invention is that the various
Feed directions of the drill always changing working cutting edges come into effect,
z. B. when drilling in the direction of arrow x only the conical surface of the drilling section
e, when drilling sideways, all cutting edges come into effect at the same time, the
belong to the different drill sections in a generatrix. When boring away
the surfaces associated with the drill handle are stressed. On the overall drill
there are almost always non-working parts, which justifies the conclusion that
that the drill does not overheat too quickly. A considerable advantage - also lies
nor that overhanging (i.e., undercut tooth masses) are easier to remove
are, especially the very hard enamel on the outside. With regard to
that here only a small part of the total cutting surface works, so a small one
If there is resistance, drilling outwards is less painful.
