mittels HalogencarbonsäuTen in alkalischem Medium herstellen.
Process for the preparation of light-colored alkylsulfamidocarboxylic acids Alkylsulfamidocarboxylic acids of the general formula where R1 is a long-chain, saturated, aliphatic hydrocarbon radical with 8 to 18 carbon atoms, which can be straight-chain or branched, but also halogenated to a lesser or greater extent, R2 is a short-chain aliphatic radical, can be, for example, according to Patent 767 071 by condensation of alkyl sulfamides using halocarboxylic acids in an alkaline medium. The alkyl sulfamides may contain hydrocarbons which have not yet reacted from their production by sulfochlorination and can also carry the sulfamide group two or more times in the molecule. Alkylsulfami.docarboxylic acids, which are mixed with unreacted hydrocarbons from the production point of view, are of particular technical importance.
Geht man
aus, was, z.
Hydrocarbons from the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis are used as the starting material
with 8 to 18 carbon atoms: which can also be hydrogenated, the sulfamiidocarboxylic acids are obtained
as light-colored, blonde oils with the color number 20 Ibis 40. (These values mean a
Color that corresponds to: that of 20 to 40 mg iodine in 100 cm3 alcohol.) If you go
but from oxygen- and sulfur-free, highly refined, from aromatics and olefins
freed petroleum fractions of the same boiling range, dark brown ones are obtained
to almost brown-black end products. The sodium salts of these acids are in
contrast
to the light-colored analogous compounds based on synthetic hydrocarbons
not almost colorlessly soluble, but the aqueous solutions look brown and dirty
from what, e.g. B. when used as drilling and coolant is disadvantageous. A lightening
with fuller's earth, charcoal or the common chemical substances such as chlorine water,
Hypochlorites, persulfates, sulfites and the like do not succeed; ledi, gkoh hydrogen peroxide
has little bleaching effect when exposed in high concentration
will.
solches abgebenden Produkten behandelt. It has now been found that light-colored alkyl sulfam: i @ docarboxylic acids
comes when you have compounds that are obtained from hydrocarbons obtained by refining
are obtained from natural petroleum hydrocarbons and are largely aliphatic
have a saturated character, due to sulfochlorination, amidation and others
Reaction with halocarboxylic acids wins, with small amounts of chlorine dioxide or
treats such dispensing products.
obere Phase nahezu wasserfrei ab.The procedure here is, for example, that the alkylsulfamic acids prepared on the basis of petroleum hydrocarbons and optionally also containing hydrocarbons are diluted with water, mixed with 1 to 10%, preferably 3 to 70/00, sodium chlorite and then with Acidifies mineral acids. In the first phase of bleaching, the mixture is adjusted to a pH of about 4.5 to 5.5 and stirred well for about 20 to 30 minutes. After about 1/2 hour (the bleaching is almost complete. For the purpose of complete separation of the alkyl sulfami, docarboxylic acids until a strong Congo acid reaction is achieved, slowly further acidification, which at the same time achieves a further bleaching effect Chlorine dioxide practically consumed. The light-colored alkyl sulfami (docarboxylic acids separate out as the upper phase, almost anhydrous.
6o und go°.
betragen. The bleaching temperature is expediently between 20 and 100 °, preferably
6o and go °. The amount of water present is essential for the bleaching effect of. Meaning.
The amount of water can, for example, be half to three times the amount of the carboxylic acid mixture
be.
Die Farbzahl beträgt 4o.The alkylsulfamidocarboxylic acids obtained in this way have color numbers from 20 to 40, while products with a color number from 800 to 1500 are obtained without bleach. They can be neutralized to light-colored salts. The bleaching has no influence on the properties of the products. Example i 45oo kg of the condensation product of chloroacetic acid and an alkylsulfamide, Idas, are converted into a brick-built apparatus by half sulfochlorination of a petroleum fraction from the boiling range of 24o to 34o °, which is commercially available under the name Sinarol II and freed by refining of aromatics and olefins, and subsequent reaction with gaseous Ammonia was obtained, diluted with 3000 l of water and heated to 8o to go °. 40 kg of sodium chloride (50% aig) are then added and the pH is adjusted to 4.8 to 5.0 with 600% sulfuric acid while stirring vigorously. The mixture, which was initially dark brown, quickly becomes very bright and the color changes to a light yellow. After 30 minutes, enough sulfuric acid is added within a further half hour to ensure that there is a strong Congo-acidic reaction. Check for the presence of chlorine dioxide with iodo-potassium starch paper and turn off the agitator when (the oxidizing agent has been used up. The color number is 4o.
