Abstract

Apparatus for washing hair comprises a helmet-­ shaped casing (28) provided around its rim with means (36) for sealingly surrounding the region of the head to be washed and provided internally with a plurality of spray nozzles (40) which can be supplied with water or a mixture of water and detergent under pressure. A cen­ tral programme and control unit (80) controls the supply of liquid to the spray nozzles (40) and the discharge of the liquid from the casing (28) according to a predeter­ mined operating cycle.
