Definitions
- the subject of the present invention is a process for reducing the redeposition of soiling on textile articles, with the aim of preventing the soiling from redepositing on a substrate made of natural, artificial, synthetic fibers or a mixture of these same fibers and thus , keep in suspension in a liquid bath during dry cleaning, soiling of this substrate.
- the subject of the invention is also an anti-redeposition composition based on perchlorethylene for dry cleaning of textiles, with the aim of preventing soiling of a substrate from redepositing on this substrate.
- reinforcers For cleaning in an organic solvent medium, it is known that certain reinforcers have an anti-redeposition action, in particular the oxazines and amides substituted with more than 10 carbon atoms described in French patent No. 1,386,783 and its addition No. 89 341.
- these reinforcers have the major drawback of not being distillable and must therefore be added after each regeneration operation of the soiled solvent.
- the present invention firstly proposes a technique making it possible to avoid redeposition and thus very considerably limit the phenomenon of "graying", during the dry cleaning of textiles made of synthetic, artificial, natural or mixed fibers.
- Another object of the invention lies in the development of a technique making it possible to recover and reuse the anti-redeposition agent at each regeneration of the bath.
- the invention also proposes a technique avoiding the loss of anti-redeposition agent by entrainment by the water supplied by the usual textiles and / or additives.
- the invention also provides a technique for reducing the concentration of anti-redeposition additive at the start of the drying phase, and consequently eliminating the risk of explosion.
- a more specific subject of the invention is a process for reducing the redeposition of soiling on textile articles made of natural, synthetic or artificial fibers, or of their mixtures during dry cleaning operations, using suitably stabilized perchlorethylene, process characterized in that there is incorporated into this perchlorethylene from 1 to 10% by weight of at least one primary or secondary alcohol of formula ROH in which the symbol R represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical containing from 4 to 6 atoms of carbon, said alcohol having a boiling point between 95 and 140 ° and / or forming with perchlorethylene an azeotrope whose boiling temperature is between 80 and 130 ° C.
- Perchlorethylene can be stabilized by any suitable stabilizing agent, in particular those compatible with the presence of the alcohols defined above, and such as, inter alia, and without the following list of components being limiting: butylene oxide, triethylamine, tertiobutanol, N-methylpyrrole, diisobutylene, isopropyl acetate and epichlorohydrin, taken separately or as a mixture of at least two of these compounds.
- suitable stabilizing agent in particular those compatible with the presence of the alcohols defined above, and such as, inter alia, and without the following list of components being limiting: butylene oxide, triethylamine, tertiobutanol, N-methylpyrrole, diisobutylene, isopropyl acetate and epichlorohydrin, taken separately or as a mixture of at least two of these compounds.
- the subject of the invention is also an anti-redeposition composition for suitably stabilized perchlorethylene dry cleaning, which is characterized in that it contains 1 and 10% by weight of at least one primary or secondary alcohol of formula ROH in which the symbol R represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical containing from 4 to 6 carbon atoms, said alcohol having a boiling point of between 95 and 140 ° and / or forming with perchlorethylene an azeotrope whose boiling temperature is between 80 and 130 ° C.
- ROH primary or secondary alcohol of formula ROH in which the symbol R represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical containing from 4 to 6 carbon atoms, said alcohol having a boiling point of between 95 and 140 ° and / or forming with perchlorethylene an azeotrope whose boiling temperature is between 80 and 130 ° C.
- the invention applies to the use, in said composition, of at least one of the following alcohols: butanol-1, butanol-2, isobutanol, butene-3 ol-2, methyl-2 butanol- 1, methyl-3 butanol-1, methyl-3 butanol-2, dimethyl 2,2 propanol-1, dimethyl-3.3 butanol-2, pentanol-3, pentene-1 ol-3, pentene-4 ol-1 , 2-methyl pentanol-2, 4-methyl pentanol-2, hexanol-2, hexanol-3.
- butanol-1 and / or butanol-2 and / or isobutanol and / or 3-methyl-butanol-1 are used.
- the textiles were spun and dried at 60 ° C in a ventilated oven.
- the apparatus was set at 100 for each untreated original fabric and the reflectance of each "gray" sample was measured.
- the grayscale is all the more weak as the reflectance is closer to 100.
- the starting perchlorethylene was stabilized with 0.0025% triethylamine, 0.002% N-methylpyrrole and 0.02% t-butanol.
