Abstract

A safety device for connecting orderly positioned shopping carts to each other includes a token extractor comprising a control key device which is insertably-releasable from the shopping cart and carries an insert having a token-receiving slot. An encoding ring is positioned on the upper surface of the grip of the cart. A releasing member is resiliently suspended on the cart and serves for connecting one cart to a neighboring cart when the releasing member of one cart is inserted into the encoding ring of the neighboring shopping cart. The releasing element is provided with coding markings and can be inserted into the encoding ring of the neighboring shopping cart in a plurality of various positions corresponding to the markings on the releasing element whereby the shopping carts of one supermarket can be distinguished from the shopping carts of another supermarket located at the same shopping plaza.

Description

The invention relates to a device for ensuring the correct return of borrowed shopping carts according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such devices are preferably for shopping centers, supermarkets, self-service markets and the like. created, which are increasingly faced with the problem that their shopping carts are no longer brought back to the entrances or the removal points after unloading, but are left somewhere in the parking lot, usually in the immediate vicinity of the parked car. These indiscriminately placed shopping carts then often have to be constantly collected with great human resources so that there is always a sufficient number of shopping carts at the entrances.

In order to save this unnecessary work and the high personnel costs associated with it, the shopping carts provided are usually in very specific points of use near the entrances, pushed into rows, parked and firmly connected. In order to be able to remove the last parked car from such a row, the customer generally has to insert a coin into a coin evaluator attached to the shopping cart, as a result of which the fixed connection between the last and penultimate parked car of the series is then released and the last parked car removed can be. If the customer then brings the shopping cart back to a specific location and pushes it into, for example, a car that has already been parked and connects to it, the coin is returned.

However, due to the design and attachment of the coin evaluators, it is in many cases inconvenient and tedious for the customer to insert a coin or token into the evaluator attached to the shopping cart. On top of that, it can happen if the shopping trolleys of neighboring markets are equipped with the same system that their shopping trolleys are mixed.

The object of the invention is therefore to design a codable and easy and convenient to use device for ensuring the proper return of borrowed shopping carts so that a token reader attached to the shopping cart can be easily converted to different tokens, and that mixing and confusion with third parties Shopping carts can be prevented effectively. According to the invention, this is achieved in a device according to the preamble of claim 1 by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

Since in the device according to the invention as a token holder, a push-button that can be pushed into a token evaluator is provided with a coin slot, in order to detach the last trolley from a parked row of trolleys, only one coin has to be inserted into the topping slot and the push-button has to be pushed into the token reader , which creates a simple and easy-to-use facility for the customer. In addition, a token insert, which can be exchanged at any time in later operation, is provided in the control button, so that the token evaluator can be converted to a higher coin at any time, for example.

To prevent the shopping trolleys from mixing or swapping neighboring markets, both are out of value coins valued as well as on the fixed trigger part a fixed adjustable coding or adjusting ring is provided, so that coding can be carried out in a simple manner in the inventive device. The exchange or mixing of shopping trolleys from neighboring markets can then be prevented in a simple manner by the fact that the devices attached to the shopping trolleys in neighboring markets, ie the coding ring on the coin evaluators and the associated setting rings on the triggering parts, are set differently and thus coded differently.

Furthermore, a protruding S-shaped insertion part protrudes from the release part, at the front end of which a hole, in particular an elongated hole, is formed, so that after the insertion of a release part into a token trigger, very special locks provided therein are locked or unlocked. This then prevents at the same time that by inserting simple aids, such as a screwdriver or an S-shaped part, the token holder can be unlocked and the deposit can be removed without the car being properly returned and parked.

The invention is explained in detail below with the aid of a preferred embodiment. Show it:
  • 1 shows a part of a perspective view of a token evaluator, the introduction of a trigger part being indicated schematically, and
  • 2 shows an enlarged schematic plan view of the trigger part.

Dadurch ist der Wertmarkenauswerter sicher an dem Griff des Einkaufswagens gehaltert und kann nicht, ohne, ihn stark zu beschädigen oder gar unbrauchbar zu machen, von diesem abgenommen werden.1 shows a perspective view of part of a token evaluator 1, which is preferably in the middle of the handle of a purchase (not shown) car is attached. In order to fasten the token evaluator, a recess which is approximately semicircular in cross section and extends across the width of the token evaluator is provided in its lower part, not shown in FIG. 1. Half of a tubular reducing part is inserted into this recess, the inside diameter of which corresponds approximately to the outside diameter of the handle of the shopping trolley. One part of the token evaluator with the inserted half of the reducing part is then brought into contact with the handle and the other half of the reducing tube is then placed on the other side. For final attachment, a part adapted to the lower section of the token evaluator is then inserted into corresponding undercuts in the upper section of the token evaluator and is held on the token evaluator by means of screws so that it is in a predetermined position, for example, by means of the reducing tube on the handle of the shopping cart is attached at an incline of 45 to 60 ° to the loading area of the shopping cart. The openings for the screws with which the token holder has been fastened to the handle are closed with a material which is matched to the color of the token holder. As a result, the token evaluator is securely held on the handle of the shopping cart and cannot be removed from it without severely damaging it or even rendering it unusable.

In FIG. 1, a control button 2 projects from the left side surface of the token holder as a token holder, in which an interchangeable token insert 21 with an insertion slot 22 is provided. Furthermore, in FIG. 1, an adjustable and subsequently permanently adjustable coding ring 11 is provided on the upper side of the token evaluator 1, from whose inner edge two diametrically opposite projections 110 protrude.

Furthermore, a trigger part 3 is shown in FIG. 1, which, as indicated by an arrow, should be inserted into the coding ring 11 in the position of the control button 2 shown, but in order to be able to show its design in detail, as a separate one Part is shown. The trigger part 3 has an adjustable, likewise permanently adjustable adjusting ring 32, in the circumferential surface of which two diametrically opposed incisions 320 are formed. The outer diameter of the adjusting ring 32 and the shape of the incisions 320 are dimensioned such that they fit into the coding ring 11 or into the projections 110 formed thereon. From the free end of the trigger part 3 there is an insertion part 31 with a S-shaped cross section, at the front end of which an elongated hole 310 is formed. As can be seen from FIG. 2, a number, for example 12, of adjustment marks 33 arranged at equal angular intervals from one another are applied to the underside 30 of the release part 3. This means that the adjusting ring 32 can be set to twelve different positions in the embodiment shown, so that the device according to the invention can be coded, for example, in twelve different settings. Of course, the coding ring 11 on the token evaluator 1 must be adjusted accordingly to the collar 32 so that the insertion part 31 and the collar 32 with their incisions 320 can be inserted into the coding ring 11. Through a different setting of the coding and adjusting rings on token evaluators. Triggering parts, which are assigned to shopping trolleys of neighboring markets, can, as already mentioned at the beginning, effectively prevent mixing and interchanging of the shopping trolleys of these two neighboring markets.

In order to be able to remove the last parked trolley from a row of shopping carts pushed one inside the other, to the center of which a token evaluator 1 is attached, and via flexible holders and into the coding rings 110 of the respective front token evaluator inserted and locked release parts 3 are firmly connected to one another, the customer must insert a coin into the insertion slot 22 of the control button 2 of the token counter attached to the last placed shopping cart in the row and press the control button 2 into the token evaluator 1. As a result, the trigger part 3 is unlocked on the penultimate carriage and can be pulled out of the coding ring 11 of the last parked carriage. As a result, the last parked car is no longer connected to the row and can be pulled out and used for its intended purpose.

In order for the customer to get the coin back into the slot 22, he must return the car he no longer needs to one of the designated delivery or collection points and push it into the last, already parked car to the extent that he can flexibly do so on this last car attached trigger part 3 can insert into the coding ring 11 attached to its token evaluator. By inserting the trigger part, the control button is then unlocked and is automatically pushed out of the token evaluator into the position shown in FIG. 1, so that the customer can then remove the coin that he previously inserted into the insertion slot 22 of the control button 2.
