Definitions
- the invention relates to a pillow.
- the pillow to be created should be able to be produced in particular from a foamed plastic material, the hardness of the pillow being able to be individually adapted to the respective user.
- the pillow according to the invention is characterized by a covering made of a spring-compressible material and a support insert located inside the covering made of a spring-compressible material, the support insert having different areas of different thickness to achieve a different hardness of the pillow in its length.
- the pillow consists of a cover 1 and a support insert 2 located therein. Both parts 1 and 2 consist of a foamed plastic material, the material for the cover 1 having a different hardness than the material of the support insert 2. This foamed plastic material for components 1 and 2 can be compressed in a spring-elastic manner.
- the elongated shape of the casing can be seen from FIG. 1, the casing 1 being composed of two web-shaped parts 3 and 4. Part 3 extends over the entire top or bottom of the pillow. The same applies to part 4.
- the two parts 3 and 4 are fastened to one another by means of two longitudinal seams 5 and 6 and two transverse seams 7 and 8, e.g. by gluing or fusing, so that a wrapping which is closed on all sides and has an interior space 9 is created.
- the support insert 2 is located in the latter.
- the support insert 2 has a rectangular base area which can be seen in FIG. 3 and which, according to FIG. 1, lies within the essentially also rectangular base area of the casing 1.
- the length of the support insert 2 has four thicker areas 13 to 16 and three intermediate thinner areas 17-19.
- the two thicker areas 13 and 16 lie at the two ends of the support insert 2.
- the distance between the two thicker areas 14 and 15 is greater than the distance between the thicker areas 13 and 14 and 15 and 16. In one embodiment, the distance between the two areas 14 and 15 was essentially twice as large as the distance between the areas 13 and 14 or 15 and 16.
- the support insert 2 is symmetrical with respect to a center line 20. From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the areas 13-19 each extend over the entire width of the support insert 2.
- the areas 13, 14, 15 and 16 have the same thickness with one another. The same also applies to regions 17, 18 and 19, but the latter regions are thinner than the former regions 13-16. In one embodiment, the thickness of regions 17-19 was approximately 2 cm and regions 13-16 5 cm thick, so that the thickness ratio is 2.5: 1.
- the support insert 2 can no longer be removed.
- the length of the pillow according to FIG. 4 has a different hardness, since the cover 1 in the areas 17, 18 and 19 can be compressed more by the user's head than in the areas 13-16.
- the resiliently compressible material could also consist of foam flakes, acrylic fibers, poultry fibers, horsehair, sheep's wool, that is to say of those substances which are used in bedding, mattresses and upholstery. These loose substances, i.e. those in bulk, would then still have to be surrounded by a cover.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a pillow. The pillow to be created should be able to be produced in particular from a foamed plastic material, the hardness of the pillow being able to be individually adapted to the respective user.
The pillow according to the invention is characterized by a covering made of a spring-compressible material and a support insert located inside the covering made of a spring-compressible material, the support insert having different areas of different thickness to achieve a different hardness of the pillow in its length.
- Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht auf das Kopfkissen,
- 1 is a plan view of the pillow,
- 2 shows a cross section through the pillow along the line II-II in Fig. 1, in an enlarged view,
- 3 is a plan view of a support insert, which is located inside the pillow of FIG. 1,
- Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 3, wherein the covering of the pillow is indicated, and
- Fig. 5 shows an enlarged detail of the wrapping in a representation according to Fig. 2, wherein the envelope has a different design on its inside.
The pillow consists of a cover 1 and a
In letzterem befindet sich die Abstützeinlage 2.The elongated shape of the casing can be seen from FIG. 1, the casing 1 being composed of two web-
From the sectional view according to FIG. 2 it can be seen that the outside 10 and the
The
If the casing 1 is closed on all sides (
The resiliently compressible material could also consist of foam flakes, acrylic fibers, poultry fibers, horsehair, sheep's wool, that is to say of those substances which are used in bedding, mattresses and upholstery. These loose substances, i.e. those in bulk, would then still have to be surrounded by a cover.
