Abstract
Description
Rundstrickware mit Kettenwirkstruktur und Verfahren zu ihrer HerstellungCircular knitted fabric with warp knit structure and process for its manufacture
The invention relates to a circular knitted fabric with warp knitting structure, consisting of wales and loop bindings formed by a thread system, and to a method for producing a circular knitted fabric with warp knitting structure in which all knitting needles are lifted at the same time, after which a single thread is placed on each needle and the needles are drawn off under the tucking edge knitting a row of stitches.
Such circular knitwear is used for the manufacture of cylindrical flexible hollow or cored products such as insulated, shielded and covered electrical and optical cables, cords, rubber bands, sail ropes, knit core sheathed ropes for alpinism and caving, reinforced high pressure hoses, cylindrical packaging and the like.
From BG-PS 18304 a circular embroidery with a warp knit structure is known, which consists of wales which are connected by means of elongated bonds, a bundle of filler threads being inserted between the wales.
The disadvantage of this circular knitwear is that each elongated binding connects two adjacent wales, which leads to low elasticity in the longitudinal direction, high transverse deformation and inadequate adhesion to the core.
In the process for the production of this circular knitwear, after simultaneously raising all the knitting needles, two needles in succession are fed one and the same warp thread, which is laid by a perforated needle, which performs a circular returning movement directly behind the needle cylinder.
The disadvantage of this method is that the thread is subject to higher tensions on two, three or more needles when the thread is fed in succession, which leads to a greater frequency of thread breakage and associated machine downtime and to a deterioration in the quality of the knitted fabric leads.
Another knitwear with a warp knit structure is known from BG-PS 32944, in which two of the wales arranged around a core are connected diametrically opposite each other.
The disadvantage of this circular knitwear is that their warp knit structure has tightly fixed mechanical-physical, technological and color pattern-related parameters, for example with regard to longitudinal and transverse strength, longitudinal and transverse elasticity, longitudinal bending modulus, porosity, core adhesion and the like with a certain constant mesh size. In addition, the circular knitted fabric has a specified even number of wales.
In the process for producing this circular knitwear, after all the needles have been lifted at the same time, warp threads are fed around the core in a circular returning movement, with this circular returning movement of the warp threads knitting each of them with the diametrically opposite thread.
The disadvantage here is that the warp thread system rotates back and forth at a constant angle of 180 °, the method being applicable only for a warp thread system with an even number of warp threads, so that there is a single warp knitting structure in which the loop bindings are arranged diametrically.
The object of the invention is to provide a circular knitted fabric with a warp knit structure, the transverse strength, longitudinal elasticity, ohmic resistance, longitudinal bending modulus, core adhesion, color pattern possibilities and the porosity of which are improved, and a method for producing a warp thread system with any number that create the Manufacture of structures or knitted fabrics of different types and quality enabled.
The object is achieved according to the invention in the circular knitwear of the type mentioned at the outset in that the thread system consists of a number of 1 to N threads, each of the threads alternately skipping 1 to (N-1) wales in each stitch row, with N ≥1.
According to the invention, a circular knitted fabric with a very wide range of warp knitted structures or knitting types with any mechanical-physical, technological and the color pattern variety relevant parameters, such as longitudinal and transverse strength, longitudinal and transverse elasticity, longitudinal bending module, adhesive strength at the core, ohmic resistance, porosity, Color patterning among others manufacture, which enables their use in various rigid and flexible hose articles, high-pressure pipes and hoses, electrical and optical cables, Knitkernmantle ropes, cords, etc.
